Should be "waking up this morning"

CallingAllEngels · 01/09/2014 20:12

Tell me about it pourquoi - I shuffled round the supermarket earlier like an old lady and climbing one flight of stairs leaves me out of breath. Low bp is really getting me down. This time with my last pg I was full of energy and striding up hills in the Lake District. Not looking forward to going to work tomorrow and teaching all day (which is very unlike me - I love my job).

23+1

monkeybaby2 · 01/09/2014 20:25

Yes, am after one off eBay, I don't need new Smile What I really want is a recommendation from someone that had/has one so I can go after something specific. Anybody?

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 01/09/2014 20:31

There's an ikea chair that everyone raves about and I'm wracking brain to remember what it's called... Poang possibly?

I have a bog standard "nursing chair" which "glides" but I never used it for nursing, just for reading bedtime stories, as I couldn't get to ikea to get the poang chair.

I tell you if I added up the number of products I want from ikea but can't have...

Not sure who was looking at the Chico next to me cot but I've just looked at my today's offers from bounty and it's on there for £119 instead if £150. If anyone is interested I will post the link

LisaC2611 · 01/09/2014 20:43

Drfunkes GTT was fine. Will get the results when I see my dr on Wednesday unless I have GD in which case they will call me. It was just lots of hanging around and boring

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/09/2014 20:53

I have an old rocking chair which I love anyway so that might become my feeding chair with my trusty massive v shaped pillow. Grin

Sad
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/09/2014 20:58

Sorry posted too soon! Am laying on my bed in my underwear (I know, tmi) and my belly just started undulating! So I moved the phone to take a better look and accidentally posted!

Gamer also. Loved Skyrim...., Oblivion wtc.. Grin

I will definitely buy that book. Thank you for the recommendation x

So I managed to lose this thread over the weekend - not sure how that happened, I'm blaming baby brain. We've been looking at travel systems too (by which I mean I have and he's going how much) and I really fancy the Uppababy Vista too, but may have to check out second hand ones before taking the plunge.

Just joined the fb group. Should warn you I'm more of a lurker than a poster.

Moving house in 6 weeks so no nesting til I'm in the new place.

ChineseFireball · 01/09/2014 21:46

I've just requested to join the FB group too...I'm a bit better at FB than MN - less lurking, more posting Wink

monkeybaby2 · 01/09/2014 22:35

Right ladies, am going to flip the fb group to Secret again. Let me know if there are any stragglers :)

Ladylel · 01/09/2014 22:36

Thank god monkeybaby was on hand paying attention to thread/FB group requests. Been in my own little world lately. Sorta just forgot to keep on top of things and check mn! Good job I'm not the only admin! Sorry everyone :( x

CatFaceCrayola · 01/09/2014 22:46

Know what you meant about feeling unfit. I decided to walk to a sling meet today. Phone said it was a 12 minute walk each way...no problem thought I. Phone did NOT warn me of the massive hills in both directions. Couldn't make it up without stopping for a sit down on a wall.

Excuse my stupidity....but why is a special chair useful for bf???

Thanks Lisa for posting the chicco crib link on FB. I am super tempted. but i'm also becoming more and more concerned about money. DH hasn't been paid on payday for the second month in a row, and they've just been told "it'll be another 2 or 3 weeks...work harder". So now I feel I can't go buying cribs and slings and all the other things I was planning on purchasing. :(
He says he's going to look for another job, but he won't unless I nag at him. and he'll get grumpy at me for nagging. Any other time I could've supported him on my wage no problem, but since I'm only going to get another 2 full months pay i'm getting really worried :(

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 02/09/2014 05:53

Best bit of pregnancy so far: Feeling the baby move.

Worst bit of pregnancy so far: Toss up between 4 months of throwing up, insomnia or waking up every night feeling like my wrists have been stamped on.... oh and the anxiety. ..

I am most looking forward to: Seeing my babies face.

I am least looking forward to: Sleepless nights

I am worried about: Not being able to cope mentally.

Anyone else? Grin

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 02/09/2014 07:08

Best bit: no morning sickness this time (seems boys make me sick but girls don't!)

Worst bit: tiredness leading to laziness leading to becoming unfit leading to more tiredness. Sad

Most looking forward to: baby being here (impatient!) and ds becoming a big brother.

Least looking forward to: birth. Does anyone look forward to that?

Most worried about: the stress that comes with bf. I wish I could know in advance what the least stressful route would be. If bf is easy peasy this time or if there will only be a few issues which are easily overcome then that would be great, however if it's going to be a nightmare then I'd rather just ff from the start! Problem is I can't know which it will be! Argh!

Lucy90 · 02/09/2014 07:20

Best bit: feeling the baby move when i put music on
Worst bit: being told how big i am by every person i see!
Most looking forward to: seeing my little girl for the first time
Least looking forward to: overbearing inlaws trying to take over

Ladylel · 02/09/2014 07:20

Best bit : the outcome and the little kicks, oh and pregnant woman liberties :)
Worst bit: bloody everything - there isn't a single thing I like or enjoy about being pregnant (except the aforementioned.)

Lucy90 · 02/09/2014 07:21

Forgot most worried!
Most worried about: not being able to cope

Hugmonster82 · 02/09/2014 08:44

Best bit: feeling baby kick and people in general are lovely to pregnant ladies!
Worst bit: 18 weeks of sickness, feeling fat and tired and not being able to run. Also the never-ending anxiety
Most looking forward to: holding my baby and a whole year off work
Least looking forward to: waiting for labour (I'm very impatient) and the birth

espa · 02/09/2014 09:54

Morning all. I've not posted for ages as had a super busy period and struggled to keep up, but I have been lurking and reading last few weeks.

24 weeks today, but the nausea returned last week along with some sickness so I'm feeling rubbish. Been off work the last few days although hoping to maybe do a bit from home today. Despairing at the thought of feeling sick until the end now, as no way I can cope with work and nausea at this stage.

Looking for some thoughts/advice too - I fell down the stairs about half an hour ago, just missed the bottom couple of steps and landed in a crumpled heap at the bottom. Bump was fine, I maybe jarred my shoulder/arm. Effectively just landed with my knee under me. I felt okay - just stupid - but now I'm worrying as I know what DH will say (ie. to phone midwife). Baby has been hiccupy the last couple of days and is still having them post fall although there's not been any big movements. What would you do? I know there's loads of protection but still worried...

CatFaceCrayola · 02/09/2014 10:06

Best bit: when DH could feel her kicking for the first time. And people are generally nice to pregnant ladies.

worst bit: feeling so tired and achey so that a short walk feels like an absolute mission.

Most looking forward to: first proper cuddles

least looking forward to: a world covered in various bodily fluids

most worried about: me losing the plot, money, that the scan lady might have been wrong and Bubble is actually a biy

CatFaceCrayola · 02/09/2014 10:08

Espa....it won't do anyone any harm if you ring the mw. Otherwise you'll just be worrying

Hugmonster82 · 02/09/2014 10:18

Hi Espa. Am sure the baby's fine as there's plenty of protection in there and as you didn't actually hit your bump. Maybe lie down and have some chocolate to see you you get kicking. If it was me though I would give the midwife a quick call for reassurance. That's what they're there for after all. I'm a worrier though. Hope you feel better soonSmile
I'm also worried about the scan being wrong Catface. I would love a boy just as much but I've been calling my bump a she for a few weeks now and have also bought some really cute girls things! I think it's really rare that they do make a mistake though and apparently they usually say if they can't get a good view and aren't that sure.

CatFaceCrayola · 02/09/2014 10:27

Yeah, I wouldn't be upset that Bubble is a boy. I would just have to re-do a fair bit of shopping and organising!

I don't have any plans for the day (2 days til back to work) and without a plan I'm really struggling to get my arse into gear and moving.

TinyMonkey · 02/09/2014 10:38

Best bit: All of it so far, never thought it would happen at my age.

Worst bit: Oh, except the recent onset of PGP, that's a bit annoying, and being too tired to cycle in the 1st trimester.

Most looking forward to: Seeing the baby's face for the first time and finding out if it's a boy or girl.

Dreading: The lack of sleep, and a bit worried about getting bf established.

26 wks today.
