panda trapped nerves hurt like hell!! Hope you're feeling better soon!
Not sure if activity levels got anything with gender as I have only two boys, but I find that the one who was very quiet in the womb was a fairly quiet baby and the one who never stopped kicking turned out to be... errr... fairly active as a baby too...

littlemissy12345 · 06/09/2014 18:22

panda hope the pain eases soon.
Thanks to everyone who reassured me yesterday, obviously by 7pm I had a stonking headache and nausea. Lot less retching and nausea but still there. How will I cope for another 10 days?

teaandbiscuitsforme · 06/09/2014 19:19

Interesting pink! The sonographer's words were "you're going to have fun with this one" so wondering if the active scan, active baby might be true!!

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 06/09/2014 19:32

The pain had eased off but it's making its way back now .
I have had to send my Ds to my Dms because of it , Surely they should of given me something ?

MGFM · 06/09/2014 21:17

mypanda I hope you feel better soon. maybe you should call and ask what you can take?

we went pram shopping today. so confusing! looked at the uppababy vista, the bugaboo chameleon and the silver cross pioneer. I really didn't like the bugaboo. the carry cot was horrible. reallybbig and square and I felt like the baby would be really far away from me in it. the uppababy was my favourite but the mattress in the carry cot was pretty hard. there is a website that will make made to measure mattresses for the uppababy carry cot so that might be the answer. the silver cross was good aswell. I was really impressed with the staff in john lewis. theywwere really helpful and even pulled up which website for more info on safety tests for car seats and didn't seem to get even a little annoyed when we were asking to see everything! it was fun but I think I might wait till after Xmas to see if anythingnnew comes out.

smokeandglitter · 06/09/2014 23:58

Really hope pain goes panda!

lotsoftoast · 07/09/2014 06:30

m out of those three I'd go for the uppababy vista for sure. We had a quinny mood for ds but would choose the vista if we got the chance again

Anyone looked at an iCandy raspberry? I really need an urban pram that's east to collapse - I'd love something like that but never be able to afford it.

smokeandglitter · 07/09/2014 08:55

Easy*

ZebraZeebra · 07/09/2014 09:20

I had sciatica in my last pregnancy - movement is definitely the best thing for it. Luckily DH is a personal trainer/coach and
he had me swimming, yoga, stretching - low impact things. Walking seemed like it made it hurt but actually, sitting for long periods was agony. I actually ended up getting a stand up desk.

Poor panda a trapped nerve is awful :(

M27J5M · 07/09/2014 09:50

That's horrible that they never have you anything panda, if it keeps up go see your gp, they might give you something to help

MGFM · 07/09/2014 10:05

smoke I looked an icandy yesterday. I think it was the raspberry. the hood/ canopy makes an awful noise as you extend it. that put me off but otherwise I tonight it was nice.

theonewiththenoisychild · 07/09/2014 11:51

im getting frustrated with looking at prams Grin i cant decide what to go for. my baby jogger city mini was the best pram i ever had. it was a dream to push had a great sun shade just brilliant BUT i always wanted something parent facing so im thinking 3 wheeler thats easy to push hmmmmm i really did want a quinny but that newborn wedge i putting me off. on the pictures it looks like baby would be lying on the top outside the seat so not keen.... suppose i will have to go and look at one in the shops to see what i think

theonewiththenoisychild · 07/09/2014 12:00

sorry was meant to add ive got another scan at epas wednesday just to make sure everything is ok as (sorry tmi) im still getting old blood when i wipe. im 11 weeks now but i will still have my dating scan which was put back to 17th aswell as they dont do any extra checks at epas scans just check for a healthy heartbeat

Twittwooo · 07/09/2014 13:32

smoke, as theone says the baby jogger city mini is brilliant - I still use mine for 2 year old DD and plan to use it when this little one comes along too. It's light, easy to steer and the one handed fold is great, especially on buses or when putting it into the car. The only negative is that it's not parent facing, but I was okay with that. We bought the carry cot to go inside when DD was tiny, but she wasn't in there for very long! theone - glad you're being seen again. From what I've read (a lot!) the bleeding is lonely to be the clot working it's way out but hopefully a scan will put your mind at ease. I have my 12 week scan in a few days and a bit nervous after my bleed, but generally feeling positive again. Hope it all goes well.

Twittwooo · 07/09/2014 13:33

Likely, not lonely!

ZebraZeebra · 07/09/2014 14:32

Another massive fan of the baby jogger here too. Like everyone else, it would literally be the most perfect buggy ever if it just had rear facing too. But I didn't get it until DS was 3 months old and it didn't make sense to buy the carry cot for just three more months use. The seat reclines enough to make it comfortable for them. I just this month bought a proper Cosy Toes cover for DS this winter and will probably get a buggy board to go with it for when new baby is born. The one hand flat fold is incredible.

I was on another forum the other day talking about buggies (the most fascinating things ever!) and I realised why I don't like the Bugaboo Bee: in this fold, the curved metal arms remind me of a wheelchair. They are EVERYWHERE in this little part of south London but the city jogger was for us the much better buy - about a two thirds cheaper, is light and great steering, one hand fold, very robust and great over rough terrain, has great longevity - up to four years old - and the wheels are brilliant for rolling up and down steps/buses/trains. The plastic small wheels of the Bee are a nightmare from what I've seen of friends struggling.

Twittwooo · 07/09/2014 14:37

Zebra can you use a buggy board on the city mini? That would be great, I didn't realise you could! Must look into it now ..

Twittwooo · 07/09/2014 14:44

I'm really so disorganised this time around - I've done very little research on anything compared to last time! I'll probably forget everything I once knew about babies! Anyway, I see that of course you can use a buggy board - no idea why I thought you couldn't but that will help me a lot! Thanks Zebra!

ZebraZeebra · 07/09/2014 14:51

Haha no problem, me and someone else also thought the same! But a quick google showed they make them.

lotsoftoast · 07/09/2014 16:56

theone you mean the newborn insert on the moodd?

You guys are all so organised, I've not even started looking at any baby stuff yet!
So I got sent home from work after three hours today, I was off yesterday, had a day off last week.
I physically can't eat enough to have the energy to work, and if I force food down I either have to run away and vomit, or I feel so sick I can barely stand.
I can't afford to miss work, both money wise, and I'm worried about the repercussions with my bosses.
I don't know what to do, I'm starting to panic a little :(
