Foscar my blood pressure is low too, always has been. it makes me really light headed at times.

HollyBen · 27/08/2014 21:20

Hope it is nothing to worry about theone

four I have low blood pressure. When I was pg with DD my blood pressure was in the normal range by the time I was around 38 weeks! I didn't feel DD move until 22 weeks as I had an anterior placenta

I got my 20 week scan apt through today for 13th Sept. Going to have to move it as it is a Monday (so we'd have to take DD) and also we are on holiday. I an gutted as I love my last 20 week scan

kentexpecting I had heard women managers/directors are the worst for pregnancy and sex discrimination and I am beginning to experience it myself.
My HT congratulated me on my pregnancy in July but it was blatantly obvious from her facial expressions and body lagnuage that she was pissed off - and she's a mother to two Primary aged kids although she only took 2 months maternity leave with her DC2 as she was 'bored'. Other members of staff have also noticed how 'off' she was with the announcement. I also had DHT 'warn' me that she will be 'on my back' come September. So with good and outstanding lesson observations, I am expecting to go down to RI and inadequate lessons for stupid stuff. Also on UPS3 and she 'inherited' a school with a large number of staff on the UPS scale and the are either leaving in their droves because they have been driven out or in one case, left because she was unfairly put through capabilities.
Also sidelining and redunancy due to pregnancy is illegal. I have a friend on maternity leave whose job is going through a restructure. I don't know the ins and outs but friend has been advised by her lawyers that the council she works for are breaking the law, know they are breaking the law and many comapnies or public sector would rather pay compensation that continue with the person in their role. Even with the courts on your side, it is so unfair.
If I lost my job or quit because I didn't want to be pushed, I would NEVER get a job on UPS3 because the nature of education has changed so dramatically. Experience means shit these days and it's al about keeping costs down.
A colleague on the UPS scale and also KS2 leader was passed over for an assistant head role (no advertisment or interview) and it went to another colleague who is on MPS only, younger, less experience. I suspect the HT did this because the colleague on UPS is no pushover and HT wants a SLT that easily conforms to her ideologies, won't answer back and easily persuaded to carry out her shit. Oh, and the MPS colleague who got the job is the daughter of another school employee!!!

Hollyben how many weeks are you?????
My 12 weeks scan isn't until the 8th September - exactly 12 weeks since my LMP!

teaandbiscuitsforme · 27/08/2014 21:35

Your HT sounds awful Junk!! Thought I was worried about telling mine but it should be a breeze compared to telling her!

FoscarC · 27/08/2014 21:38

Has anyone got access to the online list we made with all edd etc on it as I can't find it anymore.

Also to the newbies we also have a secret closed Facebook group - it is private and no one else can see it or what you post etc if any of you fancy joining.

coastergirl · 27/08/2014 21:54

Junk I was wondering that too! my 12 week scan is on 17th sept when I will be 12+6. I know there is quite a lot of variation between us all but that seems huge.

TeresaGreene · 27/08/2014 22:05

Thanks for the welcome guys and the fb group sounds great. theonewith my fingers are well and truly crossed for you. I could barely keep my eyes open during tonights GBBO even though it was an exciting episode (poor Iain!) I can't say I'm enjoying the overwhelming tiredness of the first trimester. Night all.

HollyBen · 27/08/2014 22:27

Ooopps! My post should have said 13th October..... Too early to blame baby brain ???

kittenmamma · 27/08/2014 23:03

I'm sure everyone I know hasn't felt movement until 17 weeks or so.
That's mad about the work situations folks, that's really worrying. I'm just in a restaurant but I can see that my boss isn't happy, I've been told grudgingly the company's rules on what I can and can't do and then been left to do late shifts on my own when ive no option but to do those things. Not really sure way to do about that at the moment. I could refuse point blank to do those shifts and be within my rights or I could risk my health and safety and that of my unborn baby and keep everyone happy. Bit stressed out by it all at the moment.
Does anyone have a link to the facebook page?

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 28/08/2014 00:30

The work situations sound horrid , make sure you fight your corner everybody as you have rights .

Ok I completely give in , every night when I go to bed my stomach starts off with a mild pain which gradually gets worse & then just stops after a few hours Confused I'd love to know what it could be as I'm beyond baffled .

Also is anybody else struggling to get comfy at night , I find whatever position I try just doesn't work at all so I spend every night tossing and turning , I could actually cry at the thought of another six months of very little sleep Sad

kittenmamma · 28/08/2014 03:23

Mypanda this is me laying wide awake at 3.20am because I cannot for the life of me stop tossing and turning, I'm too hot, I'm jittery, I feel sick...I hate this feeling. I sleepfor over 8 hours every night, without fail but the last few nights I just can't and that's when I've been on my days off and able to sleep as long as I like!
So this is me calling in sick for the first time due to pregnancy.
I'm hungry :( but I feel sick when I eat.
I could cry too.

kittenmamma · 28/08/2014 03:26

Ps sorry for being so self centered - how far on are you? I got very similar pains to that when I would have been due my af for the last two months, could be that? Could be your uterus preping to stretch out too, that causes pains apparently. Such fun all this, huh!

lotsoftoast · 28/08/2014 06:45

Will be thinking of you today the one.
6 hours til my scan, am both excited and nervous.

Pinksun12 · 28/08/2014 07:28

Also thinking of you theone
Good luck with your scan fourmonths
kitten I feel so uncomfortable during the night too! Belly feels really heavy and feel sick. I am used to the pregnancy insomnia from previous pregnancies but this feeling of feeling uncomfortable and going from hot to cold to hot again is new.

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 07:32

I think I'm leaving too. So sorry to hear your news theone, but I hope all is ok. I was trying not to let myself worry when my sickness and tiredness eased but last night I had some light bleeding and passing of what looked like very small pieces of tissue - not sure what exactly. No pain yet but I'm hoping to be seen today. This will be my third miscarriage and I'm scared - the previous two were much earlier. I'm about 10.5 weeks. I really thought this one was going to be okay.

lotsoftoast · 28/08/2014 08:18

twitt are you able to be seen today? Keeping everything crossed for you

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 08:25

Thanks for replying toast. I'm waiting for a phone call - I called last night and spoke to a lovely lady at the gynae ward so she's hoping I'll get in today for a scan. Trying to stay positive as my beautiful 2 year old snuggles up to me this morning - I'm expecting the worst for this pregnancy but feel lucky to have her.

pinkandstripey · 28/08/2014 08:28

Keeping everything crossed here too for you twitt

fourmonthstogo · 28/08/2014 08:36
