September 2014 - Babies are starting to make an appearance!

A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

EllaBella the only way I can keep things 'managable' down there now is to sit on the bathroom floor in front of the mirror and use DHs beard trimmer (safer than scissors!). However after not doing this for a number of weeks it was a bit of a shock this week - things are not looking the same, Im guessing its all the weight of the baby etc.
Am desperate for him to.come now,

I must be the only one who dreads the daily hiccups!

The huge movements make me wince these days and the hiccups are just so frustrating - always feel like they are in my groin and last for agggggggges. The irony is though that as soon as he has a quiet spell I start fretting. DH bliwing raspberries on my belly works better than ice cold water though!

The only reason I did it is because I don't want to suffer hair growth through a section cut if I have to have one (my hair growth won't start for at least 4 weeks after waxing) and I don't want to deal with pubes and lochia!

It's not so much a looks thing as a practical thing for me

Well the news here is that I had a baby this morning, and rather quickly I might add. I woke at 6:15 and felt quite achy low down. Contractions started at 6:30 10 minutes apart. I had a show at 7:15 then felt what I thought was a trickle of waters. By now contractions were already 7 minutes apart. I phoned the hospital who said to put a pad in and call back an hour later. 10 minutes later my contractions were down to 4 minutes apart and there was a good amount of blood when I wiped, called hospital back who told me to come in, we dropped the DCs at my parents on the way still in their pyjamas.

DH did some mad driving on the way to the hospital while I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes and fighting back the urge to push. We arrived at 8:25, I had the most overwhelming urge to push as soon as I got out of the car while DH ran to get me a wheelchair, I genuinely thought she was going to be born in the car park. We managed to get upstairs to triage where it all turned a bit crazy. The MW checked her heartbeat, it was down to 54, she pulled the alarm and about 6 people rushed in. I was put onto my side so her heartbeat would hopefully improve and it came back up to normal. I was a bit panicky and not quite with it at this point, but DH heard someone say I needed a CS and someone else said no there isn't time. On the next contraction with an enormous push her head was out, and she was born on the next contraction, 8 minutes after we arrived. She was quite tangled in the cord which was why her heartbeat dipped so low. She weighs 5lb 9oz and we've called her Elizabeth.

My beauty Evelyn born at 10.30 this morning! Emergency section after I laboured to 6cm & shouted I felt like I needed a big poo! They soon kicked into action then & rushed me in! Fast & frantic but by God worth it! She's been asleep on my chest all day!

Ahh congrats to dinah and theonlyseven! Both beautiful babies :) these babies are coming non stop at the moment!
Anyone taking evening primrose oil? A girl I work with didn't just take them orally she inserted them too and that brought on her labour, bit scared to try it though!

Finally, finally the nesting urge has kicked in! Hooray, I actually have the energy & inclination to clean :) I've done 3 loads of washing, scrubbed the kitchen, folded clean washing mountain, been it the park with DS & friends, made cookies too :) Feels good, lots of BHs though.

Sorry laura must of missed your post congrats to you too :)

ella I cannot see/ manoeuvre for any 'downstairs topiary' any more so I have completely given up (actually a while ago lol!). Same last time. No issues with stitches and no one seemed to care, least of all me! :)
