A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

Oh, slithytove I'm so sorry to hear about your DD1. I hope these last few anxious weeks of pregnancy fly by for you.

slithytove · 28/08/2014 21:50

I wouldn't have mentioned it btw but for it having just occurred to another poor family. It's horrible for anyone to think about this late in pregnancy and I really don't want anyone here to worry.

Just all keep a close eye on movements, and don't hesitate to get checked at any change in frequency - increased or reduced. Don't fanny about for too long with cold drinks and sugar etc.

HippyJess · 28/08/2014 21:55

Hello everyone! Massive congrats to those of you whose babies are already here :)

I dropped off the thread after my wedding due to massive housing dramas - which were finally sorted last week! So we now have a place to live and are all set for DS to make his appearance soon :) due 12th September, team blue, if I can please be added back onto the stats?

Already having crampings on and off that I hope mean something will start soon! I have a growth scan on Wednesday as they think he might be big so am very nervous about that... Have to have another GTT on Monday too Hmm

AlwaysandForever09 · 28/08/2014 21:59

Sorry slithy must of missed your post when I commented, sorry to hear about what happened. Glad that you've got a good midwife if you had any concerns :) welcome back hippy :) how much bigger are you measuring?

ilovemonstersinc · 28/08/2014 22:03

Cookie lashnosh (sp?) Do a double pump. Pump regular im pumping every 3ish hours and keep hydrated and eat well that should help too.

Slithy Flowers sorry to hear about your loss x

Had a weepy day today. Absolutely knackered.

HippyJess · 28/08/2014 22:12

Always it depends who's measuring! My old midwife, 2 cm ahead, consultant dead on, current midwife 4cm ahead, but according to my "personalised growth chart" he's way above 90th centile for my weight and height... Confusing madness!

Marjal12 · 28/08/2014 22:52

Welcome back HippyJess! I remember your wedding photos from the very early threads. Good to have you back and glad you've got your house sorted.
Slithytove, sending you Flowers and very unmumsnetty hugs. I don't know how anyone moves on from such a situation. So glad you've had a successful birth since and a healthy pregnancy this time.
I've just spent over an hour with my bum on a beanbag, my head on the floor and a packet of frozen chips at the top of my bump! Turn baby turn!

KatharineClover · 28/08/2014 22:57

Ow ow baby's movements are so painful tonight! He was 4/5 engaged today, feels like he's grinding his head to maybe engage fully, some really sharp shooting pains in my bits though, ow!

ilovemonstersinc · 29/08/2014 02:18

Woops forgot to say congratulations to two! Flowers

Was my due date today lol

Well, my waters have broken like they do in the films...gushing down my leg!

dontevenblink · 29/08/2014 06:55

cbmb exciting! Have you got contractions yet? My waters have only gone with a trickle, and kept like that for ages... I have a friend whos waters went in b&q with a gush Grin

congratulations twos Thanks

polkadotdelight · 29/08/2014 06:58

Good luck cbm, sounds promising!

slthylove I am so so sorry that you have lost a baby. Words always escape me with things like that and I think you are incredibly brave.

Good to see you back hippyjess Im having a big un too!

Marjal12 · 29/08/2014 07:02

How exciting cbmb! Hope your mattress/carpets are ok!
Ella - he sounds like he needs a proper kick where the sun don't shine. Hope you got some rest and he apologises profusely today. No heavily pregnant woman should have to sleep on the floor!

DearDinah · 29/08/2014 08:55

cbm how dramatic! Haha! Hope you were at home?! Good luck!

ella that's horrible, I'm so angry for you, selfish man! Hope he realises today what a douche he was and apologises!

dontevenblink · 29/08/2014 09:57

slithy so so sorry for your loss Thanks Thanks It's something I worry about all the time, and why I get so worried about the birth, can only imagine what you must have felt/be feeling...

ella that is so not on, I would have kicked him out the bed, I hope he does lots of apologising today!

Are anyone else's children acting a bit upset/clingy? ds1 who is 4 and normally the least clingy, is constantly hanging off me, not wanting me to leave him at preschool, insisting on constant hugs and kisses and getting out of bed constantly to see me. He eventually fell asleep in my bed last night about 10pm, and I'm currently sat on his bed trying to get him to sleep (its almost 9pm here). He has been the most excited about baby, but it seems to have really hit home to him now Sad

Last day of school run for me today as DH gone off on paternity leave now ready for wed Grin As I can barely walk now due to size of me and spd it couldn't come soon enough!

TheOnlySeven · 29/08/2014 10:04

Firstly congratulations to twos, he's adorable.

How exciting cbmb, hope your contractions start soon if they haven't already.

So sorry to hear about your loss slithy.

Well just like everything else that seems to be a sign during late pregnancy my tummy really isn't good this morning, been to the loo about six times already (sorry TMI), here's hoping it's the start of something.

TheOnlySeven · 29/08/2014 10:08

Out of curiosity as I've never made it to 36 weeks before I have an appointment with my consultant on Wednesday to discuss the possibility of induction, I'll be 38 weeks. Will it be to discuss induction soon (can't think of any reason they'd induce before I'm due other than PE in my first pregnancy?) or will it be to discuss what happens if I go overdue? It seems pointless that it would be in case I overdue when there will be plenty of time still for me to go into labour. And is there anything I can say or do that will make them consider induction earlier than my EDD, I'm so fed up of being pregnant now!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 29/08/2014 10:22

Does anyone else literally struggle to get out of bed in the morning? Was nearly crying in pain when I got up today :( Really hurts down there x

Been reading through & sorry to hear about your loss Slithy xx
& Welcome back Jess xx

AlwaysandForever09 · 29/08/2014 11:27

dont I have a very clingy DS at the moment too! He is usually a daddy's boy but very much a mummy's boy right now!! Since I've gone on Mat leave it's very difficult to do things around the house cause he constantly wants my attention! He is also acting so out of character at the moment, behaving so naughty! Think that May have been whys blood pressure was up! I think it's expected though for them to start acting funny as it's gonna be a big Change for them. Earlier on in the pregnancy I got quite emotional thinking about how it is gonna effect him etc.

cookielove · 29/08/2014 11:31

Oh congratulations two what a cutie

cookielove · 29/08/2014 11:46

ilove I pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump the whole day through - sung to the tune of I dig (hi ho) from snow white! Its actually not so bad at night now!

miss I hurt getting out of bed, but I imagine that is more to do with the stiches! Or lack there of Shock

slithy sorry for your loss of your dd! Thanks

Oooh more babies are on the way! Yay!

Oooh my baby is sooo cute!

whiteblossom · 29/08/2014 11:48

Miss b that's how I am today, I feel like I have been 'knee'd' iykwim.
cbmb Im actually envious! good luck xx
Hi jess Ive seen you post on the pg board so knew you were ok and about Smile nice to have you back here though, glad things are settling down for you x
slithy I never know what to say but I hope it goes without saying that my heart goes out to you, I just cant imagine xx

I was up at silly hour this morning so decided to get up when it got to 5.30am and get some cereal and a drink. I then sat down to watch scandal (series 3- i.love.it) and afteran hour I felt a bit damp down below but dh was in the bathroom so waited then checked- my pants were soaked again..figured Ive had it checked out, its one of those things. Went back downstairs, sat back down and realised that it had soaked through to my nightie....that seams a lot to me...what do you think?

For some reason I had a bee in my bonnet about getting my eyebrows and nails done today (done this morning) and Ive got to go and collect an order for ds school uniform so ive just pushed it to the back of my mind...

Jemsiem · 29/08/2014 11:50

I don't have any children to be clingy yet but my dog decided she was pregnant 6 weeks ago- she had morning sickness, was depressed and got milk- now she has really bad mastitis and is on antibiotics- the vet says if the milk doesn't clear up she will have to have hormones!!! She is definitely not pregnant we had to pay for a scan....apparently in the wild if one bitch gets pregnant the others produce milk to help with feeding! I'm trying to keep away from her a but now to stop spreading the hormones...

Slithy so sorry to hear of your loss that is a horrendous thing to go through

Congratulations Two my DH is very jealous as he wants to call a boy Cassius (we are having a girl!)

Good luck Cbmb....

HippyJess · 29/08/2014 12:24

Jem that's amazing, how very odd! Hope it clears up for her soon!
