A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

Permission to have a massive pregnancy hormonal cry?!?!?! DH gets in from work....all fine...goes to gym...gets home. complains cos asparagus for dinner. then I explain can't get into freezer cos of his homebrew being in the way and suggest he moves it to.conservatory. bad idea too hot. so clear space for it. struggle to open freezer to get peas for him. do ironing. he just sits there, watches football (fucking sky sports) and ignores the fact that I'm doing all the sodding running around. he doesn't seem to understand that I am knackered and weepy and just, for once, want to be looked after. tried chatting and got monosyllabic responses. I swear I wish we had never bought sky. bloody pain in the arse.

he is a fab man and I love him dearly but am a little hurt that he doesn't seem to click that a little tlc would be appreciated.

ho hum. sorry. didn't know where else to rant. also apologise because stupid phone and my fat fingers mean no capitals.

TheOnlySeven · 27/08/2014 20:22

Sorry holls feel free to vent here though. I got told off by DH earlier for cleaning the bath because he told me he'd do it on his days off. Except he's been saying that he'd do it on his days off for the last fortnight. I know he means well but it needed doing and I was fed up with waiting, if you're going to do it bloody get on with it!

tea don't feel bad about stopping BFing, you have to do what is right for your family and it sounds as if you made the right decision.

I feel alarmingly normal today, my hips and pelvis haven't been hurting and I've had more energy and not even felt uncomfortably enormous, in fact I've felt better than I have in weeks. I've managed to clean the bathroom, do two loads of washing, tidy all of the toys away and made apple crumble. Anyone know if it could be a sign of anything happening?

www.mothering.com/articles/the-last-days-of-pregnancy-a-place-of-in-between/
This sums up a lot for me at the moment, I feel like I'm in some sort of bubble, miserable one minute, elated the next. So ready to move on from this place! 4 days to go :)

TwosaCrowd · 27/08/2014 21:57

I'm on the labour ward! Waters went at 7.30 and keep having gushes. Just waiting to see a midwife. I'm consultant led care as I had a c section last time so no nice water birth for me :(

Cindy5389 · 27/08/2014 22:03

Definite contractions happening, but all the doctors have disappeared so it's just a waiting game to be seen.

Are you ff as well cookie or ebf?

TwosaCrowd · 27/08/2014 22:52

The midwife looking after me atm is lovely ella so hopefully you'll be just as lucky

Marjal12 · 27/08/2014 23:52

Had another scan today and baby is measuring 7lbs at nearly 37 weeks. Still breech :-(
I was convinced it had turned the other day as I felt it hiccup from top right of the bump down to bottom middle, then the following day I had the bowling ball feeling between my legs. But obviously I was wrong. They'll book a section date next week, but said it'll not be until 39 weeks. Going to try inversions and torches and moxa sticks to get it round right way before then! Good luck TwosaCrowd!

TwosaCrowd · 28/08/2014 02:05

Marjal and people with breech babies- are any of you opting for an ECV? I was booked in for an ECV at 39 weeks but DS arrived at 37 weeks.

I'm in my own room now on labour ward, it's very quiet! DH fast asleep next to me haha. Contractions every 5 mins ish. Really uncomfortable being on my back, just waiting for a doctor to come do another examination.

ilovemonstersinc · 28/08/2014 02:51

Ella you can ask for someone else.

Two good luck! How's it going?

Cookie Flowers

slithytove · 28/08/2014 04:20

Very exciting two!

I had an unsuccessful ecv with dd1, but would try again if this baby ended up breech.

Marjal, it's possible baby is still turning in there and was cephalic the other day, don't give up hope. DS was spinning constantly until delivery at 36 weeks and he was a 7 pounder, but I didn't notice once him turning!

Keep going with spinning babies exercises, and you could always consider a breech birth if you have a supportive HCP. There is a good group on Facebook, breech babies uk.

I can't sleep :( just want to be up and doing stuff, yet in the day I'm so unmotivated. Definitely feel like I'm playing the waiting game, which I don't want to do as I need to prepare myself to go to 42 weeks if needed.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 28/08/2014 04:28

Good luck Twos xx
Slithy I'm in the wide awake club too, getting really annoyed with it now lol xx

whiteblossom · 28/08/2014 04:55

Yup I'll join the wide awake club too....
Good luck twos, so exciting xxx

xxmissbrightsidexx · 28/08/2014 05:07

By the time I get to sleep my 2yr old will be up :(

whiteblossom · 28/08/2014 05:18

I know what you mean miss b. In an hour dh and ds will be up, tempted to get some cereal, im starving. Ill pay for it later though I am tired. I swear the nights are getting longer!

slithytove · 28/08/2014 05:26

Yep, DS will be awake in 2 hours. I'm annoyed as DH is on holiday yet I've got up with DS every day so far. Maybe I'll not move this morning, I'm on the sofa anyway.

I'm meant to be having a day to myself today before I'm permanently attached to a baby for 6 months. I didn't leave DS until he was 9 months. Supposed to be getting my hair done and various beauty treatments etc, but I really don't have the energy :(

TeamEponine · 28/08/2014 05:26

Good luck two!

Ella, try not to let that one horrid midwife cause you anxiety! I'm quite shocked at a midwife getting all snotty over swearing. I'd have thought they would be far more used to it and barely notice Grin I think ilove is totally right, if you are not comfortable with the midwife, ask for another.

I'm another struggling with sleep. Everyday I'm awake between 3.30 and 4.30 Sad It makes everything so much more difficult to cope with. I feel exhausted, emotional and am struggling to keep on top of things at work. On days where I do manage to get a bit more sleep I feel so much more comfortable and able to cope.

I'm one of those who has a breech baby, in the frank breech position. Got another scan later today to check on her presentation, but I think she's still in exactly the same position. I just can't see how she can have enough space to turn in there now, especially with her legs stretched out. I have been offered the ECV, but have said no to it after lots of reading up about it due to having an anterior placenta (risk of detaching it) and her being frank breech (lower success rate). For me, I would rather go for an ELCS. Guess we will see later today. I just want to know now!!!

Dinah - thanks for sharing that link. It summarises how I feel quite well Confused

cookielove · 28/08/2014 05:43

kfc I'm jealous to :)

I am supplementing with formula (mostly formula ) and ebm, my supply is beginning to come back now. If nothing else I will express and he can get ny my milk that way. Ideally I still want him to breastfed, I'm hoping as he gets older he may take to the breast more. I doubt it though as he loves bottles.

two are you labouring in a cubicle/ward or in your own room?

I see lots of us are yp, thats depressing!

slithytove · 28/08/2014 05:55

Cookie, he may love bottles as they are so easy, if you want to make it a little tougher there are different teats you can get which mean baby has to work harder, mimicking the breast a bit more

CoolCat2014 · 28/08/2014 05:58

I'm also awake. SPD is a nightmare :(

Good luck two

Great that you've been able to suppliment formula cookie and that your supply is getting better. Hope it continue to get better for your little one.

Our travel system is being delivered today. I'm due on Tuesday. Last min much?
