People keep saying how small I am at 21+5 but I've put on a stone! How much has everyone else gained at this stage? Had a BMI of 20 at booking in but not been weighed since by dr or midwife so no idea if I'm on the right track. Charming DH says my bum is definitely getting bigger!

Hugmonster82 · 26/07/2014 11:49

I'm avoiding scales at all costs. The double whammy of constant eating to help the sickness and having to give up my usual running/gym going meant I put on about 1/2 a stone by 12 weeks. I'm 21 weeks now and feel huge but everyone's different and we all grow at different rates so I wouldn't worry.
Going cot shopping today. Does anyone have any tips on what to look for? I've got my eye on one in m&s as they have 20% off at the moment but have no idea if it's any good!

CatFaceCrayola · 26/07/2014 12:17

I didnt weigh myself at the beginning so no idea what weight I've put on. Feel big and hefty though so guessing quite a bit.

20+6

littlepickly · 26/07/2014 12:35

I'm also pretty sure that half of my weight gain is definitely in my boobs!!! Grin

SassehMonsta · 26/07/2014 14:13

I weighed in on the wii fit this morning, Ive now lost 3lbs overall (lost 1stone in first 9 weeks, put most back on). Weight gain seems to be slow, only 2lbs in past 3-4 weeks. Im trying!! Baby measured on the middle line for almost all scan measurements (except a very slightly smaller baby belly, but still well above 10th percentile).

Lovely day yesterday involving making a braclet, catching up with a friend, and thrashing DH and all his work colleagues at bowling!!!

Miraculpus, got evrything crossed for you!

20weeks exactly - half way baby!

Had a shitty experience in Debenhams Guildford today getting measured for a bra. She told me my size hadn't changed, despite only measuring my band, and me telling her how uncomfortable I am, and that I couldn't remember what size I was wearing. Gah.

Somersetgirl1990 · 26/07/2014 17:49

Thinking of you miraculous and hope everything goes well for you next week!

I've put on about 7lbs so far (20+6) but don't feel much bigger. Am trying to be healthy for the baby so eating a lot better the past week!

Just been to an air show and I am so hot it's unreal! Also, whilst walking to the air ground, it was about a mile walk, I started to feel like I had a stitch under my bump, sort of just above my hips. Please tell me this isn't the start of spd??

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/07/2014 17:55

I keep getting a stitch over my right hip when I walk quickly or hurry :(

SassehMonsta · 26/07/2014 18:22

thought i hadnt changed tooo much, but then saw my 13wk pic next to my 19 week pic.... (no prizes for guessing which is which!)

I'm feeling irrationally nervous about going on a camping trip tomorrow with my friend. We're only going for 3 nights,it's only a 2 hour drive away and it's in my (technically my parents) camper which is very homely.

so why the hell am I getting myself in such a flap??

CatFaceCrayola · 26/07/2014 18:52

Very Noticeable difference there sasseh

I think I "sprouted" pretty early. Different angles/outfits but my 16 and 20 week bumps look almost identical

Had a successful day shopping today. Managed to order our nursery furniture so that I can pay it off each month before delivery, also picked out our travel system and the car seat and isofix base we are getting. The local kiddicare is shutting down so they have marked all their prices down so will be a few bargains when we get them. Also got our baby monitor as well.

Am now just glad to be home and in bed. All that wandering around in this heat has completely wiped me out.

Ladylel · 26/07/2014 23:03

Looking good peeps, jealous you've all put on next to nothing in weight... I will have to upload a comparison picture of myself. People keep telling me how small I am, this makes me paranoid 1) carrying twins, 2) knowing one is smaller anyway and 3) having put on the weight I have it must clearly not be in my bump... However I'm 21 +4 and have put on whispers 22lbs Shock it's not too bad really as it's mainly stomach and boobs, thighs jiggle a bit more but seems to have spread evenly out all over otherwise. And seems to have slowed down a fair bit. Most of it went on at the start. BMI has without doubt crept up!
I definately think it's the clothing I'm wearing, and how I hold myself. When I sit down they sink in to my pelvis but when I stand up it's all prominent and hard...

Tip for you all. The kiddiecare by me (Southampton) is closing down, therefore everything is in the sale, clothing 50% off! then other things at 10' 20' 25% brought stuff worth over 500quid today for 350. Took my mum with us so she paid half :) apparently all the shops are closing and they will be online only, so get to one quick if you can unless it's a slow roll out.

miraculous I think of you every day Shamrock

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/07/2014 23:10

Ah Southampton. So homesick.

Ladylel · 26/07/2014 23:27

lisac never read your comment properly about kiddiecare lol

SassehMonsta · 26/07/2014 23:45

Attempted to put cot together.... Discovered dad had.only given me 6 screws in total! So cot is balncng where it will go! Hoping he finds the other 40something bolts soon....!

Tidied babies room and started sorting the kitchen. Mammoth jobs as been avoiding housework pike the plague. Now have plenty of baby clothes & 3x warm onsie things/snow suits, and a baby bath. Still more things to get but happy at the items I have. Turned down several bitsxtoday but not feeling.guilty - they just wpnt get used so there is no point.

My parents are visiting (was my birthday and 20w yesterday :)) and I think I'm going to have to Deal with my mother. This is not her first grandchild (#1 is 5, but lives in California) but she is going all gooey over Baby Gap, Baby Boden, Aden and Anais, etc. etc. I sound very uninterested by comparison. All we need for newborn is cheap babygros from Sainsbury's or somewhere, I'd much rather she spent money (if she must) on more durable things that I won't be handing off to a sale a few weeks later.

Somersetgirl1990 · 27/07/2014 08:13

8 in the morning and I've spent half an hour clearing up dog shit off of he carpet Confused wasn't even my bloody dog.

Now retreated back to bed with iplayer and the f1 qualifying highlights from yesterday.

Going baby furniture shopping today in Exeter once dp gets home from work Grin

21 weeks today!

SassehMonsta · 27/07/2014 09:08

Really enjoying this mornings liein, as baby has been partying away and I can feel it rocking and rolling whole DH & the dog snooze away. :-)

All I want to eat is cake or brownies. Mmmm.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 27/07/2014 12:42

I was in full-on nesting mode this morning: washed up tons of dishes that had been lying for ages, cleaned and tidied the living room, put a wash on, and made breakfast (brunch). Hopefully all the sleep I've caught up on since Thursday has done me some good.

Pepsiaddict · 27/07/2014 14:02

Miraculous - sorry to hear your news but it sounds like you're seeing the best people possible.

Thanks for the kiddicare tip, will try to get there later this week. Have put on 11lb at 18+3. 9 of those in the first tri when I could only drink calorie laden fruit juice, not water but only 2lb since my 12 week scan. BMI at booking was 18.5 so am quite small built. Definite bump now whereas didn't need mat clothes until 30 weeks last time - when I was buying baby /mat clothes at 28 weeks was asked if they were a gift for someone else.... Very wriggly little baby in there, just like his/her sister :-)

CallingAllEngels · 27/07/2014 15:17

Afternoon ladies. Just back from holiday.

miraculous thinking of you this week and keeping everything crossed.

18w today and feeling huge.

miraculous2 · 27/07/2014 16:37

You're all so sweet. Thank you for thinking of us. It means a lot.

I just wanted to share the happy news that we've made it to 21 weeks and... I CAN FEEL MY BABIES!!! Just laid down for a rest and felt four really unmistakeable flip-flop feelings down in my pelvis at the front and yelled out to DH. And then I started howling. Wink

Not before time, children..!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 27/07/2014 16:40

Congrats Miraculous Grin I turned over in bed this morning and felt a great flop inside Grin

SassehMonsta · 27/07/2014 18:10

So pleased Miraculous! Isnt it just amazing? My twinges and things and flutters have turned into proper kicks.and rolypolys in the last week or so :-)

Back to craving sweet potato chips, so stopped at the local indoor climbing centre as I know they are open and that they serve them!
