Hi - just a quick one. Those pains are normal for me. I always get them - its all the stretching. With number one, the pain was really severe when I walked.

Not so bad this time as there isn't much left to stretch :)

Whoever has sinus pain - huge sympathy - it's the curse of my life. It's way more than just a cold. A bad sinus infection is horrendous. Hope you get relief soon and if not, some antibiotics. By the way - mine is way worse with dairy if that is any help....

SassehMonsta · 25/07/2014 09:24

Cross posted some of my post to facebpok re:pains. Several people suggested groeing and stretching pain and one mentioned that it could be early Braxton Hicks with the pain going up near chest/ribs. We shall see - If it getstoo much worse Ill text my mw.

Ah thanks daddypig reassuring to know that its not anything to worry about... just something else for me to complain about :S

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 25/07/2014 09:44

I wouldn't touch a cosatto (or mothercare) pram, every one I've known whose had one has ended up with a broken pram!

Cat, I have pgp & your fuzzy bit pain sounds like how now started. I now have a bump band (physio given, cheers nhs) an look damn sexy!

Monsta, sounds like 'normal' growing/horrible pains. Doesn't stop it being awful!

I've been absent for a while, but scan next Wednesday! And feeling very fat (although ive gained less than with previous pg, wonder if it's a girl)!

I feel like I might faint if I stand up. I'm sat at the till but I will have to get up eventually. There's no one to cover me. What do I do? It's 29 degrees in the shop so I'm assuming it's heat, but I'm drinking as much as I can, and I'm wearing shorts and a tshirt. I have a fan directly on me. I had something to eat. I felt like this yesterday afternoon as well. Hurry up winter.

Hello December antenatalers,

Hope you don't mind us barging in like this, but in case you hadn't seen, we wanted to flag up Mumsnet's inaugural Bumpfest on September 27.

It's our one-day event all about birth and your baby's first 6 months. It's going to be packed with talks, workshops and activities to prepare you for becoming a parent - and, we like to think, also useful for those who've done it before but fancy a refresher. 'No fluff, no guff - just the facts you need from those in the know', as our tagline has it .

We'd love to get some of you along (it is in London so apologies to those for whom that's too much of a trek) and can offer a group discount of one-third off the ticket price for bookings of three or more tickets (chance for a meet-up? Grin).

If you take advantage of Early Bird offer too and book before August 3, that means tickets for £43.55 per person - a price that includes lunch, drinks and snacks (all guaranteed pregnancy-appropriate) PLUS a goody bag filled with swag worth more than the reduced ticket price.

If you fancy it, one person needs to book the tickets (in groups of three or more: you'll need the names & email addresses of those in your group) and enter the discount code BumpGroup in the promo code link.

The BumpGroup promo will continue to apply (one-third off!) but remember that the Early Bird offer runs out on August 2.

Here endeth the promotional message. Thanks for listening and hope you see you there - and very best of luck to everyone.

Thanks
MNHQ

taura we've just brought an oyster max - we tried other out. Went To John Lewis to compare but we had our hearts set on it from day one really. Converts nicely and easy to use. Depends on what you're after and how long you want it to last etc google reviews. You always get a mixed bag but go with the majority of happy ones as some people are just grumpy who had one bad experience against the 40 others who had good ones x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 25/07/2014 15:11

Feeling better now, though my shop got up to 32 degrees Hmm just two more hours and then I've got two glorious days off. Hope everyone else is alright in the heat? We had a gorgeous thunder storm a few minutes ago which was glorious (and profitable Wink people flocked in for shelter)

MrsW27 · 25/07/2014 16:11

we had our scan today and it looks like we're also joining team blue Smile he was being just as awkward as in our first scan though the little troublemaker! he had his head buried in my pelvis so the sonographer couldn't check his head, heart or spine properly so we have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan. Couldn't even get a picture today but I'm just so pleased that we can stop saying 'it' and start saying 'he'.

miraculous2 · 25/07/2014 17:04

Met the TTTS specialist today and she scanned me. It's not good news. They're at Stage 2 - there's no choice now but to act. She's not experienced in performing laser ablation on an anterior placenta so we'll have to go to Birmingham. She called the specialist in Birmingham and he wants to wait until the fluids have gone up a bit to give him a better chance of reaching the placenta from an awkward angle (they have to use a curved scope to get around one baby). So I'll be scanned again on Monday and if it's not an emergency then, we'll travel and have a scan in Birmingham on Wednesday, then the laser ablation with amnioreduction to take off a couple of litres from the bigger twin's sac on Thursday. Six hours later they scan again to see if they've survived all that, then if not showing signs of labour I'll probably travel home on Friday and continue under the Glasgow team.

I've got bricks in my chest. I'm trying really hard to get past that and feel the life in my belly. It's going to be a tough week.

CatFaceCrayola · 25/07/2014 17:49

Oh goodness miraculous sorry it wasn't good news. Try and stay as positive as possible though. All hope is not lost.

Hugmonster82 · 25/07/2014 18:18

Sorry to hear that miraculous. Just remember that you are in the best hands, and the specialist is very experienced and I'm sure very capable. With every day that goes by the babies will be getting stronger which will really help their chances. Will be thinking of you.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 25/07/2014 19:20

Oh, I'm so sorry miraculous, hope you manage to get through this weekend ok & the best of luck for Mondag & the rest of the week.
Thinking of you x

MrsW, congrats on the blue bump. We have two boys & it's good fun raising them!
Although they are amazingly obsessed with their bits from an early age! My 11m old spent a good 10 minutes just staring at his junk earlier Grin

januaryjam · 26/07/2014 10:53

Great to see pictures of all your bumps! Have any of you weighed yourself so far, would you mind sharing your weight gain up to this point? It's so not to get paranoid about everything isn't it, i've just realised I've only put on 2 lb so far (normally normal BMI of 24) and people keep saying how small I am so now I'm panicking myself. I'm nearly 19 weeks by the way.

littlepickly · 26/07/2014 11:38

Thinking of you miraculous and sending you lots of positive thoughts!! Hope you're holding up ok and those little fighters keep on fighting Thanks

January, I've put on just over a stone so far, I'm 21+5 but I did exactly the same in my first pregnancy and piled it all on early and then slowed down for the rest of the time. My SIL has been tiny in both pregnancies and barely put on any weight at all, she didn't really have a bump at all until about 25 weeks! I think everyone is just different and bodies do different things. Try not to worry too much but check with midwife if you're really concerned.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 26/07/2014 11:38

14 bloody damn pounds I did not bloody need. Angry Angry Angry Angry
