Lovely bump pics of everyone. I've been taking pics of mine at various stages but not brave enough to post any on here.

I've developed a stinking cold today. Having had 4 days off work last week I've got to go in tomorrow otherwise I'm going to need a drs certificate, but I feel like crap and my nose is streaming. Am also really struggling with the heat. Didn't think I would ever say this but wish if would cool down a bitShock

Ladylel · 21/07/2014 03:56

Thanks everyone. It's nice to have a bit of positive commentry.
sasseh I started the thread but didn't really get any response altho tbh I hadn't looked since I set it up will have to go back and see to tout for more posters! Lol

I am awake due to bad wind Ouchies which means twingey stomach and the fact that I have a horrendous cough which I think is turning into a chest infection of all things :/ trying to not cough is hard when everything else moves and contracts it's bad enough sneezing or yawning suddenly let alone through a coughing fit in there!

For the first time in ages it's other non preg ailments making me feeling rubbish! There are no winners here lol! X

Martie1 · 21/07/2014 09:29

lisa I'm also not brave enough to post [big grin]

20 weeks today!! Delighted although was incredibly uncomfortable last night, when I try to lie on my side the bump sort of hangs so I need a pillow under it or it's really sore pain in my muscles? I think. I keep shoving a pillow underneath it but think I might need to invest in something proper.

My scan is wed and I'm so excited to see Lo again. Really want to see all is ok and it's a healthy wee thing. We're not finding out the flavour either though really think my dh wants to know.

Someone asked about pregnancy yoga- I'm
Doing it. Love it! Very relaxing and feels so good stretching all the muscles.

ChineseFireball · 21/07/2014 10:26

Miraculous that's wonderful! :)

Hi everyone - not posted for a bit but just catching up. Have just had 16 week MW appointment - all fine and heard the heartbeat...144bpm. Any guesses? ;)

Hope everyone is drinking lots of water and staying as comfortable as possible in the heat.

17+3

MrsW27 · 21/07/2014 11:53

I'm another scaredy cat not posting a pic yet Grin . I'm having a bit of a rubbish day so far. I spent the weekend in London for a hen do and although I had a great time I am now utterly exhausted (I also have new found respect for all London based expectant mums - I have no idea how you cope with the heat on the underground every day. I was a sweaty mess for the entire weekend) I've also spent most of this morning being sick which I thought I was past now Sad . Hope everyone else is doing ok

LotsaTuddles · 21/07/2014 12:12

Not posting pic yet either. Will do it tonight if I'm brave enough Grin

I'm exhausted today. Had to leave at the crack of dawn this morning because SiLs boiler needed looking at and she had work today so I said I'd sit round there.

Her sofa is really lie and hurting my back Sad

LotsaTuddles · 21/07/2014 12:13

The sofa is low not lie

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 21/07/2014 12:19

MrsW I find the heat and over-exertion causes me to be sick :( I'm near London in Surrey and it's hot enough even without being on the underground!

PolytheneGirl · 21/07/2014 13:48

Thanks for all the lovely bump pics ladies. I was feeling massive but am now completely reassured that you're all as fat as me! (I mean this in the most lovely preggo way!) I was tiny when I had DS and I'm almost as big already at 19w. I didn't realise how small I was last time.

I'm also doing the hard/squidgy thing. I'd love it to be hard all the time, I think it's the squidginess that is making me feel more fat than pregnant.

SassehMonsta · 21/07/2014 14:45

Yes, also sometimes hard, sometimes not. Baby was definitely sitting way over to the left on Sat, as bump was one-sided and solid - I had an almost double bump as it was sticking out more than the rest of the bump!! After a bath baby had returned to somewhere else.

Tired already today, Ive now been roped in to collect children for the kids club for my mum & help sort a gift for my sister. Phew!

PolytheneGirl · 21/07/2014 16:46

Sasseh mine nearly always sticks out a bit more on my left. I think baby like sitting over there.

LotsaTuddles · 21/07/2014 17:23

I've found a cure for constipation - antibiotics.

Definitely feeling more movements today, I'm also pretty sure DH would have been able to slightly feel it

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 21/07/2014 17:44

Haha aww Lotsa you've been through the mill. Hope the ABs help and you're feeling better soon.

I'm sooo pleased iPlayer is back up! I'm off work today and tomorrow and was looking forward to catching up on TV. I also can't sleep without listening to the radio, and I love listening to Radio 4 comedy on catch up, so it's been doubly annoying for me. Isn't it amazing how crippled we are without these relatively recent technological advancements??

It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow so we're going out for dinner and to the cinema and I'm dead excited! Our last one without having to worry about babysitters, haha! Now I understand why my parents never really bothered with theirs when we were little!

LotsaTuddles · 21/07/2014 18:37

I think they're starting to work Peace, my tooth isn't quite so sore, just wish they could pull it out.

Haha I know that feeling, when we moved into our house(a few weeks after DS was born) we didn't have a tv to put in our room so haven't had one since September, but DH has been pestering me to let him get a new one for downstairs so we got one at the weekend and now have a tv in our room again. I never realised how much I missed it.

We actually cuddle for a bit before we go to sleep now and talk too Grin

To be fair to him, I did say that we'd have to get one before the baby's born because I'm not sitting up all night staring at a blank wall. Qi was the only thing that kept me sane when DS was tiny.

Enjoy your last anniversary in peace peace (Grin)

MrsW27 · 21/07/2014 20:05

Thanks Peace, I definitely think that I pushed it a bit too much this weekend. early night required tonight zzzzzzzzzzz

CatFaceCrayola · 21/07/2014 22:27

So so tired. Trying to put off bedtime though to ensure I actually sleep.

Tried to ring the Psychological Wellbeing people that the midwife recommended. Regardless of where I live and the fact that it was the midwife that put me forward for it and not my gp I'll have to go to a different borough, about a 45 min drive. Tried to argue and got completely ignored.

Then to be told "you'll hear from us with details of your appointment in the next 8-9 weeks" what's the sodding point then? What use is that?

Been feeling a good bit of baby acrobatics again today

20+1

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 21/07/2014 22:33

Aw Catface :( sorry your referral is crap.

I haven't felt pregnant at all today. I had an irrational cry tonight because I wanted to go swimming and DH had clearly forgotten he'd promised to take me. Gaaah.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 21/07/2014 23:40

Despite not feeling pregnant today, I can't get comfortable at all tonight >: (

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/07/2014 06:22

Morning all. Home from a long but good weekend at university. Knackered though and tempted to stop home instead of going into work this morning.

Have 20 week scan at 1.20 which I am pleased about as I need a bit of reassurance. Not felt much baby movement in the last few days but I've been very busy so I'm hoping I've just not noticed.

Anyone else suffering from Carpel tunnel? I wake every morning with NUMB hands which never really goes away and I am having trouble gripping anything.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/07/2014 06:42

I am utterly jealous of all your lovely bumps! I just look massively fat. Probably because I am but still...

Cuppachaplz · 22/07/2014 06:46

Morning everyone,
me-me-me dilemma here;
any ideas for wedding wear at this stage in pregnancy.
My brother, is getting married in a couple of weeks, and I need some advice on where to get something to wear that doesn't make me look like a whale in 80s wallpaper or have his snobby mates looking sideways at me. Limited budget too, as just like all of you lovely ladies, trying to save for bump let requirements.

LisaC2611 · 22/07/2014 07:08

Morning all, big hairy I always wake up with pins and needles but it does go away.

Scan in 2 hours time woo hoo really looking forward to seeing our little bean again and making sure everything is ok.

espa · 22/07/2014 07:24

chuppa, I have 2 weddings in the next 3 weeks and had same dilemma. I got the multiway maxi dress from Tesco online in royal blue (£50 but I got 25% off). I didn't want to spend too much even although I'll wear it twice so might have spent more but it's ideal as can change it for each wedding - and it was a bargain! I do look very pregnant in it though but as it's long and flowing much prefer it to something tighter. There was only a few sizes left when I ordered so not sure if they've got more coming in.

Markies have some similar ones too but there's two of them that have a really tight bandeau but to them which I couldn't even get over my shoulders so make sure you read reviews before you buy if you're thinking of it to see which ones it is (I just ignored the reviews...oops!).

Ladylel · 22/07/2014 07:41

21 weeks today. Time is flying. Slept the whole night through for the first time in ages! Still feel poo. Turns out I have a virus Bleurgh so just feeling not my 100% self.
We have our 'growth' scan I suppose it is today to check if LO has grown any.
Been purposely eating veg as much as I can in every meal just in case as well as fruit. My toilet has been proof of this (ew) I haven't been concerned about It I'm one of those people who tend to worrythe night before or on the day so get a nervous tummy and farts!

I meant to say after my 4am post and went back to bed I don't seem to fall asleep for a good half hour and I am pretty sure I felt four little kicks, different to flutters, don't think quite strong enough to feel from outside but definately something so that made my day/morning :)

Is our thread one of the busiest ones? If so I feel chuffed like I'm in the cool gang!

Good luck with your scan Lisa.

Cuppa I have 3 weddings to go to. The 3rd is likely a no go as it's all dependant on the twins being born and whether I've had a c section - I brought I really pretty black mat dress. Fairly plain but I can dress it up with some colour. I do have a more tighter maxi dress too. It's not tight as such but is incredibly stretchy and more colourful so it depends how I'm feeling I will be wearing the same dress for each one tho haha!

SassehMonsta · 22/07/2014 08:19

I bpught a navy mat dress with white (small) spots on for ny sisters graduation, from new look I think. Was only 12 without being on offer! It's great as a dress (thpugh short, above knee) but also with jeans or leggings underneath it makes for a nice long flowy top. Its like a maxidress style with stretch on top and flowy at thebottom.

Meetin consultant for first time today. Any idea how long these things take? Taking my sister with me as DH couldnt get time off work as he wanted to take my scan day off on Thursday and already had Friday booked for a leaving party.

Its pretty busy, though it seems the Jan thread talk more - Im sure they are on thread 6 or 7 already!!

Yay for everyone with scans today/tomorrow/this week! Cant blimming wait!!
