Heeyyyyy all. Been off a few days so catching up.

Miraculous this is such fantastic news about your babies. They're doing so well! I hope they stay stable and you get to that magic 28 weeks.

Has everyone updated the stats sheet with their gender news? Seems we're starting to even out a bit now after a rush of girls yesterday Smile

I'm still getting my head round having a boy. Am so so happy! Dd has now stopped calling it a sister and is calling it a blue baby. I got a delivery of wool on Thursday and immediately started making a blanket. Will sticks pic on here when I'm further along with it.

Baby continues to move a lot, DH still hasn't felt it which is frustrating us both. It just stops as soon as he puts his hand on my tummy.

Also bumped uglies the other night. Good job it was quick coz my pelvis was screaming by the end of it! I thought I'd got stuck!! Shock

The plane disaster in Ukraine is really playing on my mind too. Completely tragic. Those poor innocent people.... What's going on in the world????

I had the worst night sleep ever last night. Well not the sleep but I was so tired I went to bed/sleep at 930 followed by waking up at 11:30, 1:30, 2:45, 4:15, 6:30, 7:15 and finally 8:30. My back is killing me, my hips ache, I couldn't get comfortable at all :( plus it was hot and the dogs started barking and my bladder was just like 'hey you haven't used the toilet in an hour I think you need a pee' GRRR
Didn't help I was having dreams about DH cheating on me either! And at one of those points I woke up and struggled to go back to sleep and had a hunger pang which I ignored!

Definately doing so yoga today are if I can get some good stretches going on may sleep better.

Wahey for the girls bringing up the rear.

ooodaddy I had a nosebleed the other day quite unusual don't really have them probably like 4 times in my whole life, thought it was hayfever snot to begin with. Altho I must have been getting very mild ones as I found the week leading up to it I was brushing my teeth and when I gargled and spat it was blood tinged but my gums weren't bleeding.

Also my placenta was anterior low but not low low and I think it's slowing risen up I haven't felt any major kicking just plenty of flutters tho. Frustrating as I want DH to finally feel so he can get something out of it, seeing them Tuesday was great but to feel them would be amazing to see his face!

20 + 4

LotsaTuddles · 19/07/2014 09:59

I didn't sleep last night either.

Couldn't get comfortable, back's sore, scar's sore and we had a few thunder storms last night. Dh is a big baby when it comes to storms so we're working on that,so we had to stand at the window and watch

DrewsWife · 19/07/2014 12:06

Two weeks until my 20 week scan I don't think we will find out what Gender is anybody else not finding out the gender or have you all done now

CatFaceCrayola · 19/07/2014 12:12

Ah bollocks, just sneezed and wet myself a bit. The joys!

PresidentSpreadable · 19/07/2014 12:27

We're not finding out Drews, I would love to know but figure a surprise on the day will be quite something. I think if it wasn't my first I might find out, just to prepare the existing child/ren. Secretly hoping for a girl.

19+4, scan on Monday!

miraculous2 · 19/07/2014 12:47

Bit traumatised this morning. Weighed myself late last night on new digital scales I got because I was advised to keep an eye on my weight between scans - it's one way to monitor fluids. Saw a big increase which should set off alarm bells but since I hadn't weighed for 36 hours and had had a scan that already told me I had increased fluids, I guessed I should wait and weigh again in the morning.

Then, terrible night's sleep, up at 3am for a pee and my bump is huge and hard as hell, more alarm bells. Back to bed, fitful sleep and dreams about TTTS. Also aware I'm very, very constipated and put the hardness down to that at least in part.

TMI - Had to drink coffee this morning to get my bowels going and then wait for the most traumatic shit of my entire life. Thank everything my chances of having a section have recently shot up to about 95%. That. Was. Horrific.

Anyway, bump has softened, weight is back down where it was on Thursday (heavy poop, right?!) and I'm now thinking about doing something with my day other than hanging around daycare and sonography. But the weather sucks.

Drews we're not going to find out if we can avoid it with all these scans!

My wonky placenta is also anterior. So the reason my babies are in so much danger is also the reason I can't feel them yet. Great!!! Angry

I'm off to find a way to get my good mood back! One that doesn't involve a pint of wine...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/07/2014 13:28

Drews my scan isn't for another month Confused we're hoping to have a surprise, though "helpfully" the week by week pregnancy app I'm using has shown me exactly what to look for Hmm

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/07/2014 13:33

Although tbh my scan probably won't be terribly clear as there's an awful lot of blubber to get through Grin

Somersetgirl1990 · 19/07/2014 14:26

Peace, they have to look from a specific angle to see the sex so you won't just see it's bits if they don't go looking Smile

Pepsiaddict · 19/07/2014 15:12

We're not finding out the sex - I loved the surprise with DD and also the fact that Paul was the first to find out (he was down the business end) and tell me. Mira ulous - I reckon the reason I pushed dd out with two pushes was that I'd had plenty practice from being constipated :-(

No movements felt yet at 17+2 had an anterior placenta last time and suspect same again.

LotsaTuddles · 19/07/2014 15:42

Still haven't got a date for my scan

Ds thinks he's hilarious, he keeps playing drums on my bump and nuzzling into my boobs, think he knows that when he does it, it hurts them and makes them go rock hard

LotsaTuddles · 19/07/2014 15:43

Forgot to add 17+1

DrewsWife · 19/07/2014 15:47

Phew a fair few of us then ;). I picked up one of those gym balls to sit on on advicefrom the physiotherapist and it's wonderful really helps my hips

Sadly I have slept most of today as been poorly. Going to head into Glasgow now to pick up tickets for tomorrow's end of commonwealth baton relay

Hubby is working until tomorrow. So sat watching awful telly.

oohdaddypig · 19/07/2014 16:27

miraculous I'm on lactulose for the poo issues. Works well (as does a tummy bug Hmm)

Also not finding out sex here. I never do as I swear it's the only thing that gets me through labour!

LotsaTuddles · 19/07/2014 16:32

Don't think we're going to find out the sex.

Mexican chicken also helps with constipation Grin at least you're not watching cbeebies Drews

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/07/2014 16:34

Jealous of everyone watching telly and snoozing! I'm at work for another half an hour Hmm I was going to close at 3pm because I'd have been on my own, but a volunteer stepped in at the last minute, so I'm still here. Ah well, at least we're taking money.

SassehMonsta · 19/07/2014 16:41

Also another surprise gender here. Scan next Thursday.

Yay Miraculous that your two are still fighting strong - you go boys!!

Any of you twin mummies having Identicals?

Tired myself out today with 2 dog walks - one in the morning with lots of female dogs in the rain, and then one just after lunch with mostly male dogs in the sunshine. Chip (my staffie cross) was super happy as he got to run around off lead with no muzzle on on both walks, so down the canal, acrosd feilds.and all through the woods. Had to come home and have a nap - dh made some pasta to keep me going but fell asleep before it was ready... Ooops!!

Lots of sneezing and.knicker wetting going on here. Boo. Bring on scan days! 19 weeks today

Ladylel · 19/07/2014 17:01

Not identical my end. Fraternal dcda's I think it's what they technically are. Get to see them again on Tuesday for a 'growth' check.

I also walked dogs today. Here in the sunny south it's incredibly muggy and humid. Walking in the woods felt so close and clammy. Thunder storm Thursday night, drizzle last night but the days have been sunshine and hot.

omama · 19/07/2014 17:34

Hey ladies. Not posted in a while, have been busy with work & then holidays. We did an active hol in the Austrian alps - can't quite believe I managed some of the walks but I did & it seemed to do wonders for my back pain!

Hope everyone is feeling ok - esp in this heat? Cant believe how hot it was last night - I woke at 4am & couldn't get back to sleep. Early to bed for me tonight.

I've only read back the last couple of pages - miraculous glad your little ones are doing ok & very excited for everyone else who has had or is having their 20 wk scans in the next week!

I had mine yesterday - was amazing to see baby again & we are relieved all looks healthy. However, I've got a low lying posterior placenta, sonographer said it was over my cervix so got to go back for a further scan at 34 weeks & have been instructed not to allow anyone eg midwife to do an internal examination before then. I didnt really think to ask any questions & now not sure if its ok for dh & I to dtd anymore?

Sonographer said it may well move out of the way by 34 weeks & if it didnt it'd be a c-section for me. I had a quick google when I got home & really wish I hadn't Confused.

We had a surprise last time round but decided to find out this time so we can talk to ds about baby & get things organised!

And we were completely shocked & thrilled to discover.....its a GIRL!!!Grin.

I had secretly hoped it would be, but we've been so convinced it would be a boy I still can't quite believe it! Am dying to go & buy something pink!!

DS is very excited & is coming up with name suggestions already. Smile

I am now getting ready to start a mammoth round of ebaying - all ds' old baby clothes - wish me luck!

Taura · 19/07/2014 17:45

Just had a hormonal meltdown in bravissimo. Well first I had a snooty manager in Long Tall Sally tell me that "all the other mums" just wear normal tops (long length) and there's no point getting special maternity ones. (Fair point, but I was having a rant at them for only having 3 items of maternity clothing and they are all trousers and all online only), and then I had to take a couple of bras back to bravissimo because they were too small (bought 2 weeks ago but just weren't comfortable). So as I walked up through the shop looking at all the pert pretty bras on size 8 mannequins, I just broke down in tears that I'd never find anything to fit me (up to about a 38HH or J at the mo). The lovely assistant Margaret sorted me out though and I managed to find a nice fitting fantasie bra of the same model as one I already have and find comfortable (I even said as I put it on that it was like putting my own bra on).

So by then I had calmed down and stopped crying so I went to cash my free cake-and-hot-drink voucher in Johnny Loulou.

miraculous2 · 19/07/2014 17:55

Identical! Still don't know the sex but thanks for the boy vibes, Sasseh!

I read earlier that dairy and peaches are good for constipation so I'm about to have a bowl of peaches and cream Wink

Drews I might make it to the Baton Relay stuff tomorrow too, we shall see.

DrewsWife · 19/07/2014 18:06

Miraculous. Cool if you do. I have no idea how to get to Partick but assume transport will be good. Coming from Kilmarnock. Should be fun. Then going to grab food I think. Let me know if you fancy meeting for coffee!

SassehMonsta · 19/07/2014 18:10

Doh miraculous - think cos my friend has twin boys thats my first automatic thought!!!

Any else suddenly ballooned this week? Im massive! Attempted to attach a pic but phone is on the blink... If ive managed it its me at 18+5

OP posts:
DrewsWife · 19/07/2014 18:23

Sasseh yes. Me too. 18+1. But my bump seems to be in 2 parts. The upper in guessing is my stomach.

Joys of me being a fatty lol. Still only once in a blue moon movements. Hmm I want proper kicks. :(.
