Peace of course I'll tell you guys. It's just the fifty millon opinions IRL I could do without. As well as the patting. Stop. Touching. My. Flab.

Bravissimo are the big boob specialists and they pride themselves on making big boobed woman feel more comfortable in their own skin and with their mahoosive hooters. They wont make you feel crappy at all. They have their own sizes and will measure you up properly and make sure you walk out supported, with your head and boobs held high. They look the swank but every one I have ever been in has been so friendly, especially if you tell them that you are nervous!!! Go see them! They have to be better than trawling round department stores looking for the hens-teeth-rare bras in your size which you take into the changing room to the hushed giggles of the changing room staff "Shes's got the double Js" "Noooooo! The HEFER!!!" and then when you try them on they make you look like a shelf.

oohdaddypig · 15/07/2014 22:31

MEN!

Me - to DH "I'm bricking it about my 20 week scan"

DH "why?"

Me - "oh well, you know, it's an anomaly scan, you know I hate a scans, you never know..."

DH "stop worrying"

Excuse me whilst I thump my head off the wall. I have morning sickness, constipation, piles and scan neurosis. DH honestly lives in a dream world.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/07/2014 22:49

It's the band size I struggle with tbh. I was a 42F before I got pregnant.

CatFaceCrayola · 15/07/2014 22:58

taura I'm really struggling with my hips.

Doctor just said "take paracetamol"

One commenter says "I know a Rueben, his parents wanted something spelled unusually, all it's meant is they've spent 11 years spelling it out"

miraculous2 · 15/07/2014 23:19

I can vouch for Bravissimo too. They have a really good approach to pregnancy and nursing bras, my fitting was professional, friendly and quick and they'll give you some info to keep you right as you go through the months to come. I got fitted two months ago and that bra saved me - I was in so much pain from the impact of just walking!

Ladylel I'm so excited for you! I realised just how much I assume mine are boys when we got an accidental full frontal yesterday and I really wasn't that surprised (I thought I saw a scrotum). Anyway, I posted about it elsewhere and now I think I don't have much chance of being right (well, apart from the obvious 50%). I'm quite happy back in surprise land. I have fraternal twin nephews and they are utterly adorable (one is called Jude!). I worried a lot about mine growing at different rates early on so I read a lot about it and felt better when I realised how common it is, even in identicals (without the kind of disastrous situation mine are in). I'm sure your little guy will catch up - there's every chance even mine will Smile.

I still can't feel these two! I know, only 19 weeks and it could take a while yet, but ugh.

Tomorrow will be our number TEN scan this pregnancy. The hospital can hardly be bothered giving us pictures any more.

Thanks again for all the support. You lot are keeping me sane Thanks

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/07/2014 23:29

Haha Miraculous you could fill an album with just scan pics! Best wishes.

Taura · 15/07/2014 23:42

I like Bravissimo-ish. They have a super approach, a good range, totally non-judgmental, but I do find they tend to sell me over-snug bras. They feel OK in the shop, but as soon as I wear them at home, they somehow get about 2 sizes smaller. I got 2 a couple of weeks ago and just can't wear them as they are too tight. Back to the shop on Saturday, I hope they will swap them. :(

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 16/07/2014 07:16

I havent felt the baby move since yesterday. Can it vary at this relatively early stage? Might call the midwife in a bit.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 08:33

BigHairy I only feel mine every few days. It's still really small, don't worry.

LisaC2611 · 16/07/2014 08:35

Hi all

I've had a stressful couple of days. Ended up at the maternity triage dept Monday night as when I went to the toilet and wiped there was a pink tinge so obviously panicked.

Spent 3 hours there waiting for a dr to come and see me to tell me that I didn't look like a woman who was having a miscarriage. I did hear the heartbeat but it took them a while to find it which made me more worried.

Had a bit more pink tinge yesterday morning but so far nothing today, fingers crossed it's getting better, whatever it was.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 08:38

Oh Lisa that's awful, how scary. Did they tell you why it might have happened?

LisaC2611 · 16/07/2014 08:53

Hi peace

No they said it could be a urine infection or just a change in my discharge. But it's really scary.

Haven't felt any movement since it happened so just tried to phone the midwives to see if I can go and hear the heartbeat again, but no answer so will have to try again in a bit.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 08:57

The fact that it's pink rather than red is a good thing, I would have thought? Have you been having penetrative sex? Maybe it's a scratch to your vagina or, as your cervix is so engorged, maybe it got "bumped" or something? Not trying to put you off sex at all, that's just a simple explanation for what it could be. I hope it stops soon anyway, best wishes.

LotsaTuddles · 16/07/2014 09:00

BigHairy I sometimes don't feel mine for a couple of days. MW said it's normal before you start feeling definite strong kicks to go a while feeling nothing, doesn't mean baby's not moving, just means you can't feel it. If you're really worried drink an ice cold drink andsit down with your feet up or lie down .

Went to the GP yesterday about my scar being sore and sickness. She said scar is fine and normal it's just where it's so fresh and stretching (which is what I suspected) and just to take paracetamol but I'd it's really bad it might not be worth it as it won't touch the pain Hmm she also gave me Metoclopramide for the sickness

ffallada · 16/07/2014 09:10

Hi Lisa,
What a shock you must have had - hope your comforted by hearing the heartbeat.

Congrats ladylel. Two boys! How exciting. doesn't really cover it, sorry

I think movement really varies at this stage, I'm 19 weeks and only feel sharp kicks every other day or so. Haven't got to the 'oh lovely, a kick' stage yet. Am still on 'ow, that's bloody painful' and 'I didn't know I could hurt there' stage.

Wondering at what point being sad turns into depression? I can't eat, get out if bed this am. Am extremely tired. No motivation. Sad. Could just be sad though.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 09:28

Ffalada, sad is usually diagnosed as depressed when being sad interferes with your daily activity, ie, not being able to get out of bed, not being able to go to work, not being able to eat. How long has it been like this?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 10:24

Off to the midwife in 20 mins. I'm leaving early so my blood pressure isn't too high after walking there Grin I have a habit of stomping rather than ambling.

DrewsWife · 16/07/2014 10:36

Hugs Lisa. Xx. Ffl sad can become depression. Best to get it checked out. No one will judge you and staff are very kind and helpful. We have a lot going on with growing our babies and trying to do everything we normally do. Thanks Be kind to yourself and make a wee appointment.

If your near Glasgow ( I think you are.) Fancy meeting for a coffee one day?

DrewsWife · 16/07/2014 10:41

I'm currently sat waiting to see the midwife. I'm not looking forward to it and fear a bun fight. I felt railroaded last time and hoping she has stepped back this time. Who knows. Maybe I'm just a hormonal wreck.

I don't feel baby move. Just the odd squidge or flutter. So living on my nerves and find myself back on knicker watch. Which is stupid. Think my stress levels are clearly rising!

Boss last night said that he will be sending telesales team 9 of us to Arran for a spa weekend. Talks are ongoing. And I'm rather excited. I will miss hubby lol but a spa break is exactly what I need just now. Wink

PunkyPod · 16/07/2014 11:08

Catface we do have a washer-dryer but we have never tumble dried our nappies. In the winter I get them on the radiators with those little radiator racks you can get in Wilkos etc to dry. In the summer they go out on the line. We have a 2 day supply so one day's worth takes a day to dry while the second lot is in use.

I had my scan yesterday and it was absolutely wonderful. Baby. Was awake but not kicking about as much as DD was at her 20 week scan. Got all the measurements and the sonographer was fab and explained everything she was checking and showed us the baby's face and arms waving etc. then she asked if we wanted to find out the gender, we did so she went looking. The little monkey had a foot virtually up its bum so we couldn't see, she was jiggling it about but then it would just go into another awkward position. We thought she'd have to give up because it was taking too long, and then she suddenly said she thought she'd seen something "extra". She then took another freeze frame and there it was, definitely something "extra" between the legs. Oh my goodness we're having a son!!!!!! DH and I were both speechless, I even had a little tear. We both fully expecting to see a girl because all the kids in both of our families are girls. But we are having a boy! Completely over the moon. Got home and told Dd (25months) and she said "no, baby sister!" So we'll have to gently get her used to the idea that this is a brother.

We've been trying to figure out a name.... We both like Sonny and Flynn. I like Felix and Ezra too but DH does not. Anything else similar?

20+3

Ladylel · 16/07/2014 12:15

Thanks guys!

taura that is such an interesting thread maybe I've been spelling it wrong all this time. Especially after reading rueben is German for turnips! Reuben is probably the way forward :)

miraculous I was pretty sure it was boy girl but I think that was all based on hope as before the scan my mum said what do you really think they are and Id said it's more than likely two boys. Me and oh even shook on if it was two boys if let him name baby boy 2 chandler but that's only because I was sooooo certain it wasn't. As he's also F1 fan and I've decided I like the name maxwell it helps there are yep f1 drivers with the names Reuben and Max lol! Backtracking in progress!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 12:26

Midwife was very nice and efficient and patient with me, especially when I cried at the end talking about feeling suicidal.

She booked all my appointments and GTT test etc for me, and phoned the hospital to get my blood results (I had them done at a different surgery), and it turns out the stupid midwife there (who made loads of other mistakes with me) put THE WRONG NAME on my bloods, so the lab rejected them, and we have no results. I'm so impatient to find out my blood type! They told me when I had my termination, but I've forgotten if it was AB- or A- :(

I'm now in the local cafe knitting and digesting my new notes (she put them all in the right order for me!) before heading home. Is it hot all over today or just dahn saff? It's bloody unbearable.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/07/2014 12:30

Ladylel I definitely prefer it spelled Reuben if that has any bearing on your decision! And Maxwell is much much nicer than Chandler IMO.

I love names with V in them, like Vivienne and Eve, but they just sound horrendous with my married surname :( I had a very unusual maiden name and couldn't wait to change it and stop having to spell it out every time, so feeling a bit silly now!

oohdaddypig · 16/07/2014 12:44

lisa how stressful for you. I don't know if my story helps but this happened to me with DC1 in the second trimester. all was well and it didn't happen again. horrible at the time. Have you done any ususal activity? I had just been for a swim and wondered if that triggered it...

hairy I definitely find movements are more pronounced one day and less the next. I think it depends on position and your own level of activity. On my days I'm not at work I hardly feel a thing... I don't really feel very many strong kicks at all - maybe 1 a day. I'm still at the flutter stage.

ffallada I think you sound a bit depressed IMHO. why not have a chat with the midwife. I agree no one will judge you and if you can't eat, that isn't good for you or baby Flowers

AFM, I now have DC1's tummy bug. Delightful given the rest of my ailments but hey, at least it's cured the constipation....
