Lovely pics miraculous.
We had our 20 week scan today, all is as it should be, so relieved. We are having a little boy! Just as I had suspected since day 1. Am so happy and can't wait to go find lots of cute boy clothes. Had always imagined myself with a girl before now but it feels so right now to be having a son, super excited!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/07/2014 08:42

Slept really badly again last night, even with five pillows in a fort around me! I did some googling and found several sources that say lying on your left side is not mandatory - it's just that lying on your back or right side will become uncomfortable in time. I'm so pleased because I am so much more comfortable starting off on my right side. I flip over in the night but can't seem to fall asleep on my left!
Anyway I woke up at 4, then 5, and then at 7, so I'm up beautifying myself for our day out to visit my family (who are all in the same place for a day! The planets have aligned!)

LotsaTuddles · 12/07/2014 10:57

We can't decide whether to find out the sex or not.

If we do, our families will go mad shopping, but I don't know, this pregnancy feels a lot current different to when I was pg with DS, it just doesn't seem as real, even though I've felt movements earlier this time, have had my scan and have heard the heartbeat it just doesn't seem real somehow

CatFaceCrayola · 12/07/2014 11:31

I agree lotsa despite all the proof I doesn't seem real that I'm pregnant. Went and bought a couple of cute brightly coloured baby grows yesterday which possibly helped.

I'm also sleeping terribly. Been awake since 6, read for a while then got up and have been busy busy. DH is only just surfacing!

Just turned down an offer of a pram and feel a bit daft, but it was BEIGE! I absolutely despise beige and cream and browns!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/07/2014 11:38

Shit no Catface, fuck beige!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/07/2014 11:48

yeah beige is shite!
I feel great today. Had a good haircut yesterday and dont look like the wild woman of borneo anymore! Got loads of energy and feel fabulous. Could it be this blooming of which they all speak? I hope so i'm so sick of feeling like crap as i am sure the rest of you are too.

I think i have worked out what we are doing in regards to the sex. I really feel like i need to know because i feel it will help me bond. Plus it took us 6 months to name the cat so we need to get a head start. However we won't be telling anybody else what it is.Grin please excuse the old grammar spelling and capital letters i'm using the text to speech function on my phone because i'm busy doing housework at the same time!

ffallada · 12/07/2014 11:59

Great multi tasking spider - I'm lying in bed with my phone typing, still multitasking but not quite so useful.

Didn't get home from holding my mums hand through A&E till half three this morning, so am allowing myself a rest before springing into the shops to buy some bobs to make her stay in hospital a wee bit nicer.
my unmarried, and more importantly, unpregnant sister was tucked up in bed last night cause she was tired. I know pregnancy isn't an illness but I do feel a wee bit peeved that she didn't think that I might also be knackered. Where are the benefits to being pregnant? I don't really take pubic transport, so no one gets up to give me their seat (mind you, I don't look pregnant ATM, just fat). Where's the ''people are nice to pregnant ladies' thing? Perhaps it doesn't exist.

I'm sure baby is kicking me, is 18 and a half weeks not a bit early?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/07/2014 11:59

I have socks wadded underneath my bra because it's so tight and sore! Fuck my life.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/07/2014 12:03

ffallada, I've been able to feel mine for the last week. little flutters, especially when I have just eaten or have lain down to sleep!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/07/2014 12:03

am 18+ 5 Grin

CatFaceCrayola · 12/07/2014 12:17

Haha. Glad some of you understand the evils of beige!

miraculous2 · 12/07/2014 12:46

I'm frightened and sad today. A bit teary. I haven't got out of bed - no motivation. We had another lovely day out feeling quite normal yesterday so I was wondering when it was all going to start sinking in. I wish these babies would start kicking me. I wish I could start nesting and making plans and joining in more. It's just not that kind of pregnancy any more. I'm also getting bored but I can't decide if I should go back to work on Monday or not. I'm still on three weeks' annual leave that I booked to go freelancing in Japan. Feels like a waste now.

"Fuck beige" gave me a laugh, though. Too right.

I'm going to have a bath and try to pull myself together for my niece's 1st birthday bash later on. I've already missed a friend's kid's 3rd birthday party today.

ffallada I hope things improve for your mum soon.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/07/2014 13:07

Miraculous, you are bound to have shit days. You've been so strong so far. I think I would have fallen apart a while back. Your pictures of your babies were beautiful.

You gave yourself some.of the best advice a while back. Take each day one at a time and each day that passes is another day you are the mother of twins. I know its not much comfort but people in this group all care and support you, and that support will still be there whatever happens. You are allowed to have shit days, its a shit situation. Please don't feel like you cant rant about it on here, because you can. Lots of love and cuddles...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/07/2014 13:22

Just echoing what BigHairy said, Miraculous. Take care

Ladylel · 12/07/2014 18:05

You'll get there miraculous. I haven't felt kicking yet, I think the odd flutter but I do get bummed that there's two and doesn't seem to be any movement. Perhaps they are just kicking each other :) one day at a time :)

Here's a link ( I hope it works) made me laugh, her voice is a bit Whitney but she makes a point

Happy Saturday people!

Ladylel · 12/07/2014 18:06

Whiney* not Whitney pfft

LisaC2611 · 12/07/2014 18:36

Sorry to hear your having a rough time today miraculous. As others have said just take each day as it comes, some will be better than others.

I woke up with a bad back this morning after an unexpected lie in. Normally out the house at 7.00 am on a Saturday but got a text cancelling my session at 6.50 so went back to bed. Probably would have been better off just to get up.

Was looking at the dream genii's in mother are this afternoon but couldn't decide whether to get one or not so didn't. Did buy a few maternity clothes though.

If anyone is interested, I found the tommee tippee complete starter kit steriliser on amazon yesterday for £50 which is half price and free delivery.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/07/2014 20:10

That really made me laugh, despite her whitney voice! It's the hungry one the most.... my partner practically throws food at me then stands back whilst I trough it when we're out.

Last weekend when I was in cornwall, I ended up overhungry and crying until we found a pasty shop where he bought me two, plus a lemon tart which he left me alone in the car with until I'd eaten and calmed down a bit (I didn't eat both at once, there was a gap of oh, about an hour). Then I needed gaviscon. A lot of gaviscon.

Bettycakes80 · 12/07/2014 21:27

I really wish there was a 'like' button on here you could select like Facebook. So many of your comments cheer me so much but I never seen to have time to respond to many.

CatFaceCrayola · 12/07/2014 21:39

Out at the pub for a leaving do. Alternating between j2o and pepsi. Regretting not bringing some gaviscon with me (need to find a handbag sized mini bottle to transfer some into)

Gosh busy thread, as usual!

Bloody nackered - kids' party, afterwards had afternoon catch up with girls and party tonight. Had people for dinner last night. Seeing friends in morning. I'm a fool! Exhausted.... Need to pace myself. I look like crap.

miraculous you are an absolutely amazing lady and I find your posts inspirational. I'm not surprised that there are some shit days. Please know that all of us on this board have everything crossed for you and your babies and are thinking of you xx

What is the dream genie of which everyone speaks? I still sleep on my back.... Did last time too (v bad but tis comfy....)

Night xx

CatFaceCrayola · 13/07/2014 00:47

I got a dream genii for a tenner on ebay but I don't rate it much.
I'm having more luck sandwiched between a V shaped pillow and a long tubular one which is like wrestling an alligator (both donated by different ppeople)

However I currently have a giant sodding moth in the bedroom :(

oohdaddypig · 13/07/2014 07:00

Oh. By the description, I thought it was a hot man in a sarong I could rent hourly, to mop my hot brow through the long nights....

LotsaTuddles · 13/07/2014 08:52

Not having a great morning. CD really doesn't seem to like me at the minute. DH got up with him yesterday and he was really good, ate his breakfast, DH managed to wash up and do a bit of washing.

I got up with him today and he's screamed at me since we got down stairs, had about a mouthful of weetabix and doesn't want anything else, so now we're laying on the sofa, him getting over a screaming fit, me trying bit to cry

miraculous2 · 13/07/2014 09:45

Oh well, so I cried all afternoon and didn't go to Matilda's 1st birthday. I did feel better after a bath and making/ eating a big curry.

Brighter start this morning as we've made it to 19 weeks Smile. Come on babies, nine more to the big milestone - 28 is the goal, then they can come out and fight (or cook longer, I'd hope). I'm going to make a little wall chart so we can pick off the days and see how far we've come.

I got a dream genii for a tenner on Gumtree and I don't rate it either - I still need three other pillows.

Going to meet a friend for coffee this morning in a local organic bakery (yum) and I haven't seen her in ages - she is the sweetest lady, can't wait. Smile
