Possibly. They only moved it by a week, and CGH is 6ft 4 as well so it's entirely possible that baby is tall.

Just a bit miffed that it's not moved down at all.

No, was offered one before she discovered how high baby was but she said she couldn't do one after. Got another appointment next Wednesday if I go that long so she could possibly do it then.

Just irrationally fed up.

SinkyMalinks · 13/08/2014 21:52

It's shhiiiiiiittttt going over ginge. You have my sympathy. I have no advice, other than do not try and induce labour with pineapple. Yes you have to eat a lot. Yes I tried. No, I haven't been able to look at pineapple since. And no. It didn't work.

It's probably just womble stretching pains bugs. Call the day assessment centre if it keeps worrying you though, that's what they're there for.

I had the same - really unrealistic expectations of what a heavily pregnant woman could actually achieve in the time available. It doesn't help if you're a bit anxious about baby as well. The advice from triage sounds sensible - and at least you're closer at work than at home.

Sinky, I am staying AWAY from the pineapple. I love pineapple, and the thought of it putting me off forever is enough to make me not want to try (especially as I really don't want to eat about 8!)

Well we've tried a hot curry (nope), sex (lots of BH, we'll see about this one...) and I'm just about to neck my 6 dates Grin

I basically worked my arse off finishing everything I possibly could (left work around 8pm on my last day Sad) and still had to leave my cover with a massive email of things she still needed to do.

You just can't physically get everything done if he keeps moving the goal posts, and his poor management style shouldn't be a cause of you getting stressed.

If he asks you to do anything else, say you don't think it's realistic and you'd rather be able to finish the things he's already asking you to do to a high standard than do a shitty job on a million more things. He might respect that, he might not, but at least you won't have more stress on your plate. I felt shocking the last few weeks before I finished because I was so knackered.

Ahh, good old differ CM! I'm so looking forward to it clearing up after I ACTUALLY GIVE BIRTH!

eurochick · 14/08/2014 19:15

I'd swap the lochia for differ CM any day. 4 weeks (and counting) of sofa cushion sanitary towels in the middle of a hot summer is not good.

FrankelandFilly · 14/08/2014 19:23

Oh Euro it's not fun is it, they never tell you how long it goes on for either! How us C doing? Chubbing up nicely I hope? Didn't you say you had an estate agent round to photograph your house before C arrived? Have you put it on the market yet/any interest? Have you found somewhere to move to?

Sorry you're still waiting Ginge, any twinges at all?

Definitely not! I used Boots and Tesco, both were good. Once it starts easing off you can use the thicker sanitary towels instead.

eurochick · 14/08/2014 19:55

I prefer the Boots own brand ones bugs. I've used a mix of those and Mothercare. In the early days I was double stacking them. As I had to be out and about right from the start, I didn't want to risk leakage. You'll definitely need more than 1 pack. I think I got through 3 10 packs of the Boots pads, 2 24 packs of the Mothercare pads, a few random towels when I was running out of supplies and am now onto thinner maternity pads.

C is chubbing up well frank. She was weighed again today and is a whole pound up on her birthweight. I've just put some then and now photos on t'other place, as she was delivered 4 weeks ago this evening.

We had the photos of the house done when I was 6 days post partum. We've had a few viewings, but no offers yet. We have our eye on one lovely house that we will probably make an offer on if it is still there when we have sold. It backs on to a gorgeous park and would be a lovely place for C to grow up and me to run off the post-baby flab . There is nothing else catching our eye though - the market is really quiet since they introduced the MMR rules. So we will see. We love many things about our current house (3 mins from the station, 10 mins on the train into London, beautiful living area), it's just a little small for us now (new build so no storage). So if it doesn't shift, we will convert the spare room into a nursery and stay here until the market picks up again.

I had a mobile epidural and was drinking apple ribena by the gallon afterwards. Can't remember if I was allowed to eat, I have a feeling I was allowed but not interested.

TheOriginalWinkly · 14/08/2014 20:54

HWCA says I wasn't allowed to eat.

My lochia was only heavy for 2 weeks, then I used sanitary pads for 1 more week and it was done. Tesco maternity pads were fine.

FriendofDorothy · 14/08/2014 20:57

I liked the Tesco and Boots maternity pads. I have got through 6 packs in 2 weeks and only in the last few days have a moved onto using thinner pads. Nobody tells you about nappy rash though! Bleurgh!
