hi all, seeing nursery pictures is really making me think that I do need to stop procrastinating and get on with clearing out the babies room. Think I will do some tomorrow. its highly unlikely that I will manage more than the odd day off from work until I finish the week before my due date so its gonna have to be on weekends.
I'm almost 25 weeks now and my bump only popped out in the last week, but I have been feeling quite a lot of movement and even seeing my tummy move now. it's all getting scarily real!

Teabiscuits · 07/06/2014 20:56

ilove hope you start getting more kicks soon. If not would it be worth getting checked over? Almost certainly baby is fine but it would put your mind at ease x

ilovemonstersInc · 07/06/2014 21:02

There's s festival on here and rounds closed atm if inhad to go I could go anothrr route but would be stuck in traffic for hours. Keeps feeling like I have to bear down. I dont bloody like being pregnant as I dont have easy pregnancies. Im going to see how everything is. Hes moved again since after having a good poke from me obviously if I get any pain or anything will go n get checked

Thanks for the nursery chair suggestions, I will check them out. :)

Hope baby moves more for you soon Ilove.

I ate two krispy kreme donughts tonight in a row. Blush oops. Also in my shopping basket while buying the donughts was a pack of knickers a size bigger than I usually get. Hahaha oh the irony.

Hello all, I have my GTT on Monday, only risk factor is high BMI, after reading into the testing I find it rather awful to go through when pregnant, not eating breakfast especially!! I usually have 2 lots by 10am!!!

I'm expecting my first, we don't know the sex, thought we would wait till it appears, however must admit we started buying from 22 weeks onwards and it's been rather diifucult and boring all the white and cream! I'm now 27+4 and have quite a lot of feelings inside but I still doubt wether it's baby or not...

Rocking chairs, we have brought a similar ken from ikea. The one I liked in mamas and papas was ridiculasly over priced!!!!

We have been looking at pushchair and think we are having the skoke crusi, has anyone got any bad reports on this make and model at all!??

Xx

Ella it's either one or the other. Think im going to have to go and get checked. Hes really not moving properly. I got 3 movements including the 1 I posted about and then f.a hes usually all over the place in the morning amd night!

OP posts:
Bananapickle · 08/06/2014 07:16

ilove hope you're doing ok. Don't stress about getting checked it's what midwives are for and in my experience they really don't mind mums coming in to get checked.

Ella the scan is of the bottom with legs coming out to the left, yes?? In which case I'm going to be brave and say I think you can be confident you're having a girl. At my 20 week scan the boy bits were so obvious. From this angle there is no where for your baby to hide their bits. I think your SIL is being mean, especially if she knew you were questioning the sex. Try and not let it worry you.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 08:01

Exactly what banana said ella dont let her get to you.

Thank you banana. I won't be able to go in and get checked until midday as I will leave baby with mum so will go once he's had dinner. Will have to takw ds1 as mum wont be able to handle him atm.

This has been worrying me a bit about his movements as been having the period pain too and some strong bh but didnt put 1+1 together. Hes still giving me the odd movement but its not even half as much as normal

bugoven · 08/06/2014 08:05

Ella I am pretty sure that's a little girl =) Don't let anyone wind you up, especially as they seem to be enjoying it so much!

ilove call your midwife. I had a couple of quiet days last week. I called my midwife on her mobile and she was happy to see me at hospital where she happened to be doing her shift at that time. I didn't end up going because after sitting still, drinking a cold fizzy drink and putting mu hand on my bump he became very active. I was told to call again, any time, if I was concerned. Hope all is well and sorry your little one is causing you so much worry X

bugoven · 08/06/2014 08:07

Sorry ilove crossed messages. I've had a lot of BH too. Midwife and I have put it down to dehydration due to a busy week and a cold.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 08:08

Thank you bug. I admit I do need to drink more. Been having 4 big glasses at least a day but atm I dont fancy food or anything so getting harder to drink too.

They worry you inside and out!

lilone1234 · 08/06/2014 09:52

ilove Hope all is well with your little one!

Ella That looks like a girl as far as I can see! I know how you feel as i've been told girl too and also can't help but worry, although the ultrasound technician seemed pretty confident. I'm sure in reality the instances of them being wrong are very small, it's just typical of people to always come up with 101 stories of when they've heard of it happen! At the end of the day a healthy baby is all that matters!

petitverdot · 08/06/2014 11:03

Hello everyone! Checking in for the new thread. Ella I'm not a doctor but that looks like girl bits to me Smile My boy's tackle was really obvious from that angle!

Suffering big time with hay fever today - going to pop to the pharmacy today but I thought I read that Beconase and Opticrom eye drops are ok... Is that right?

whiteblossom · 08/06/2014 11:17

petitverdot I use Haymax pure balm, its brilliant. I apply it to the inner rim of my nose with a cottonbud after ive done my make-up. I was sceptical as my hayfever is really bad but this stuff is great. I found it gets better with use too. Instructions say to re-apply after nose blowing but ive never needed to unless I had Just applied it.

ilove try not to worry, ive found that makes it worse. Babys sleep and have quiet times too but only you know, I think gut instinct should not be ignored x

Ive been gardening this morning, the sun is shining here.

I also checked my weight progress on the scales yesterday...1 stone up.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 11:19

Hes decided to cooperate lol
Hes moved a few times since coming over to mums but will keep eye on things if anything changes will get checked if not I have a scan on Wednesday and dr so will mention it

OP posts:
Teabiscuits · 08/06/2014 11:20

ella is your sis in law a trained sonographer who identifies babies bits day in day out? Unless she is I would ignore her, sounds like she's jealous.

I thought I could see a bit of a Willy on our scan, but sonographer had a good look and says she's 98% certain its a girl, I could see a bit of umbilical cord! Also my hubby is one of 3 boys, who all seem to produce boys and he's managed a girly sperm so I wouldn't over think it x

ilove hope you are ok and getting more movements x

petitverdot · 08/06/2014 11:41

Thanks whiteblossom - I've tried haymax and it doesn't seem to be touching it unfortunately Sad

Glad things seem to be back to normal now ilove x

Ella that's just weird reaction from your SIL ! How would she know and how would she assume she understands better than the sonographer doing this for their day job several times a day? I can't see your photo on mobile app but in our 20th scan the boys bit where too obvious to miss, just hanging there :)

Just checking into the new thread, can't believe we're going into the last trimester! Hope the pregnancy does go quick right to the end though! Hate those final weeks of waiting!
ilove how's bump now? These babies do like to be mischeivious don't they! If your at all worried though deffo call midwife or switch board, especially if your used to certain times of the day. I've had a few times of worrying and i know how stressful it can he waiting for a kick! Has everyone had a nice weekend?

DearDinah · 08/06/2014 18:32

ilove how have movements been today?
ella definitely can't see any testicles on that scan!
Thunder here again, I hate it so much, my dog is terrified & we've got to go out, I've got curtains shut, TV on, radio on, he's wearing his thundershirt I really don't know what else I can do! Poor pooch.
