Thank you ladies. DP is doing ok as far as I can tell though he's just dropped that he may not be back til Tues instead of Sun like I was expecting... frustrated that this is because he's having to shoulder the responsibility of everything including something that could be done on Sat but his dad wants to do it Mon... and now I feel guilty for feeling like that...

I have a feeling our name is sorted if we have a girl...

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 19/06/2014 14:23

zing my favourite boys name is Fechin pr. feckin. A minor irish saint. Came across it lot on old gravestones when I was researching around Termonfeckin, co. Louth. Feel free to use it as my husband did veto it for ours. Grin

fifi669 · 19/06/2014 14:58

Bit of advice please! Had anyone had a show? Just been to the loo and upon wiping there's a browny tinge. It's a bit like the beginning/end of a period. Baby is moving fine. Is this a show or just standard stuff? I didn't have one last time....

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 19/06/2014 15:53

I had the clear mucus for a bit but nothing since. Is it jelly like? if so could be the plug I think but am only a first timer...

ZingWhale · 19/06/2014 16:58

fifi

yep, very likely to be a show - well, part of it.

ZingWhale · 19/06/2014 17:01

liquid

clear mucus is more likely to be normal discharge (consistency of eggwhites)
show is a bit thicker, like thick snot.
and tends to very from slightly yellowish to pink/orangey/red/brown - depending of presence of a bit of blood.

ZingWhale · 19/06/2014 17:52

frigging PGP is torturing me again.
I'm in so much pain I can't move.
also making me feel very sickSad Angry

just called DH to hurry home, I can't cook dinner or anything.
thankfully I have showered two younger ones out of their rucksack poos (the ones that go up the back) only half an hour ago so should be ok.
I think bending down to do it triggered the cramping.

Incapinka · 19/06/2014 18:12

Home alone tonight as DH away with work and then heading to Tenby to do a recce of the IM bike route. Am now realising that I really need to sort out DS should I go into labour. If during the day or evening it is relatively simple as a neighbour can watch him until my parents turn up. But what to do in the middle of the night. And first labour was 2.5 hours. And I hate asking for help, especially at anti social times of the day! Parents love 45 mins away which whilst not miles could be the difference between making hospital and not. Saying that I will probably now have a really long one!

Incapinka · 19/06/2014 18:13

Rucksack poos!! Never heard that expression and now will never forget it!!

BlueC2 · 19/06/2014 18:33

inca DS will be going to our lovely childminder (who he adores and has spent his only night away from us at her house) but hopefully will stay here as I will have homebirth... For us the tricky bit is do we put childminder on call as soon as I go into labour just in case I have to transfer to hospital? I don't really want extra people here when I'm in the pool probably stark naked in the middle of the living room... And our stairs go from the living room open plan so could be interesting getting DS out of the house without him seeing me and being totally freaked out or wanting to come into the pool so I haven't quite figured this one out yet!! Since it really is a total one off I wonder if your neighbours would be ok with a middle of the night sit in your living room while your parents drive over?

zing try to sit tight if you can, it's often those odd positions, ie showering the little ones, which can set these things off. My bump has dropped significantly in last few days which has helped ease the back pain I was getting at night though I do now need the loo an even greater number of times per day and night than I did before.

Annoyingly just noticed that baby's insistence on sticking it's foot out to the right hand side of my bump has now resulted in stretch marks there when I hardly had any before!! Not impressed!

No dizziness today just felt sooo nauseous as I did most of last night too :(

36+5 come on baby you'll be term on Saturday and can then come as soon as you'd like :)

icklekid · 19/06/2014 19:31

Might be in early labour...pain started 4.30 called midwife at 6.15 had a bath, timing contractions....terrified!

ZingWhale · 19/06/2014 19:35

inca

that's because I made that up!Grin

blue
I'm curling up on the sofa in fetal position, lying on my left side.
DH has got home on time to make dinner.

I always get broody when our youngest is about one and start planning the next one. I know I'll be in big trouble next summer, wanting another baby so I told DH that instead of saying "No way" he has to remind me of the pain, the never ending nausea and the frustration of being unable to do a thing.
I think going for #8 would be very selfish from my part and he must remind me I said that too.

(because I'm in pain none of you are allowed to hate me when I say that having just found scales I weighed myself today and I'm still 3lbs under my pre-pg weight! Shock
no wonder people are commenting about how well I look or asking if I'm ok because I look as if I have lost weight.
all thanks to nausea/vomiting. yay me)

ZingWhale · 19/06/2014 19:36

ickle

good luck, go girl!Wink

fifi669 · 19/06/2014 19:38

Oh ickle exciting stuff! Are they regular? Any other signs?

Since the bit of brown I seem to have had nothing so I think it's just one of those things. I'll keep looking out for pant snot though :)

GrouchyKiwi · 19/06/2014 19:44

Oooh, ickle, exciting! All the best. Grin

Incapinka · 19/06/2014 20:06

Rucksack poo is genius Zing! And you've LOST weight?! Shall we all remind you of your comments a year on?!

Good luck Ickle!! Keep us posted if you can!

BlueC2 · 19/06/2014 20:15

Ooh ickle exciting stuff ... Envy try to relax and go with the flow and not tense up - your body is designed to do this!! :)

zing write yourself a list of reasons now why you shouldn't go again and put it in an envelope for DH to read to you next summer :) Funny I'm the opposite busy working out when I can sell my maternity clothes as I'm definitely not doing this again... 2 DC is perfectly fine for us!

So it's a football night here tonight - hoping watching England play isn't as painful as it usually is!

MrsA2 · 19/06/2014 20:16

Good luck Ickle, hope things keep moving for you!

Plateofcrumbs · 19/06/2014 20:26

Very exciting ickle keep us posted!

I'm wondering whether to save or sell maternity clothes. I did buy too much on basis I would recover money on selling them. Am also worried will never have opportunity to another baby and having mat clothes knocking around would just rub salt in.

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 19/06/2014 20:47

ickle how exciting! I hope it is really happening and not going to tease you for days! I'm not Envy because I still have some tidying up to do and no parents here yet!

Zing's rucksack poo reminds me! for the first timers the vests or bodysuits with poppers at the bottom and an envelope neck can be taken off downwards instead of over the head in case of poo explosion (or rucksack poo).

And another thing for people planning to breastfeed, if you haven't seen it already the Kellymom website is really useful and worth looking at beforehand.

We are watching the football this evening.

GrouchyKiwi · 19/06/2014 21:37

Why on earth does having a very hot bath feel so wonderful when you've been complaining about the heat all week? Bodies are weird.

We're not watching the football because STV won't work on our TV today. hahahaha

icklekid · 19/06/2014 21:39

False alarm it would seem after being very regular nothing for 45mins now- slightly relieved to say the least- probably why it slowed down because so anxious!

AuntieMaggie · 19/06/2014 21:51

Awww ickle we were getting excited :)

Zing when they weighed me in the assessment unit last week I commented it was the heaviest I'd ever been and the MW told me off saying I was allowed as I was pregnant... I think I love her she was ace with lots of things (except handing me a cuppa as it ended up all over me!)

If I have bought this mattress do I also need a mattress protector? (Driving myself mad trying to make sure I have everything I need!)

justhayley · 19/06/2014 22:51

Grin Today's the first day in weeks hayfever hasn't made me want to rip my face off - now I'm awake with heartburn Confused I had a cup of tea whilst watching England fail miserably and forgot I can't actually drink anything in the evenings accept water Confused It's like my body needs to give me one reason or another to be kept awake all night.

Gosh all these labour signs are getting exciting. I'm 35 weeks today which is my happy point as DS was born bang on 35 weeks so with 1 more hour to go I think it's pretty safe to say this little bubba has beat her brother Smile
I have officially never been his pregnant lol.
My next goal is getting to 37 weeks so I can have my homebirth. Then baby can come, actually 37+2 would be perfect, as the outdoor cinema is coming to my town on 37 weeks and we have a big girlie night planned, watching Greece in the Parkin the evening with a picnic Grin. The next day I think I'll be too tiered to labour so 37+2 it is Grin I have it all sorted out lol.

justhayley · 19/06/2014 22:57

Actually does anyone else not really feel like they are about to have a baby? I don't know what it is, or how to even explain it. I'm getting everything ready, & am even quite excited about labour (excited in an odd way - I'm not a freaky pain worshipper), but I can't at all imagine my house with a baby in it.
Also getting moments where I'm almost in tears at the thought of mine and DS's bond / relationship not being the same. People with more than 1 is this normal? I can't imagine loving anyone as much as I do him, and feel sad that our time together will be a lot less Sad
