Morning all,

Still very few symptoms here! I was worried enough I do another digi test yesterday, it showed that I'm one week further on from last week, so feeling a bit more reassured Grin

Zebra, fingers crossed for you, can you get hold of a digital test which would tell you how many weeks you are?

Got an appointment at the docs on Friday, but I vaguely remember not having my first appointment with the midwives until I was 14 weeks so ages to go!

One weird symptom I seem to have is going off my food a bit, with my ds I was always hungry so maybe a girl?Wink

chypie2011 · 03/06/2014 12:18

Hello can I join?, ive just found out that im pregnant with baby number 2 and im really excited but nervous, I had pre eclampsia with the first and pregnancy brings back so many awful memories, so hoping this one will be better. Congratulations to all on the thread!!!

EMac66 · 03/06/2014 12:24

Hi all, been a few days since I posted because I had a few issues and - sorry if this upsets and frightens some of you - turns out I miscarried yesterday :(
We had barely been trying a week when I fell pregnant so I can't get too down - onwards and upwards! Good luck to all of you and I am praying for safe pregnancies. Enjoy every second!! xx

JacktheLab · 03/06/2014 12:49

Oh eMac sorry for your news, hope you are ok though and best of luck for the future x

carmen87 · 03/06/2014 12:55

Sorry to hear eMac, that's my biggest fear right now! All the best for the future x

persepolis123 · 03/06/2014 13:40

I'm so sorry to hear that emac. Hoping you will get a sticky bean soon x

lydie same here. We only decided at the end of April to ttc again and we missed the fertile window so May was our first month of trying. I was thinking it would be great if it happened within six months as DS took 11 months to conceive.

We initially wanted a 3-4 year age gap but all being well it will only be 27 months which is a bit scary. DS is still so small and dependent on me. Will probably still be in nappies too.

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 14:18

oh Emac I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm sure you'll get a sticky bean very soon, I think you're most fertile after a miscarriage.

I got two BFNs and a BFP today, still so faint as to be barely there though. Sick to my stomach all day, massive boobs. I'm just gonna have to wait it out - money is pretty tight and I can't afford to spend it on CBs or FR - they're so expensive! It will become apparent if I'm pregnant or not (and I think I am!) soon enough.

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 14:21

Persepolis DS will also be 27 months if all is well with this pregnancy. I got upset last night, thinking about how much I love him and how he was when he was first born. We co-sleep - it was planned - and though he's sleeping through reliably, sometimes he stirs when I come to bed. I was getting mildly anxious last night thinking about how I'd get to bed with new baby without disturbing DS.

persepolis123 · 03/06/2014 16:12

We still co-sleep too zebra. Think we will need a super king size mattress for when the new baby arrives. At the moment we only have a double and it’s a bit of a squeeze with three of us especially with the way DS likes to spread out.

I will speak to DP tonight about booking a private scan. I expect he will say it’s a lot of money and we should wait but if I really wanted to I doubt he would object.

mrshjb · 03/06/2014 16:13

Sorry to hear your news Emac Thanks

Congratulations to all the newbies! Someone asked me at some point where I'd read about morning sickness has usually kicked in by the end of the 6th week but I'm not sure to be honest because I've read so much stuff over the last couple of weeks. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow (by my calculations) and it seems like such a milestone!!

Does anyone know whether the midwife will calculate your due date based on your lmp and then correct it at the scan or whether they will take in to account your cycle length? Based on my lmp I would be a week further on then I think I am, so part of me thinks I don't want to tell them so I can have a scan earlier but part of me thinks I should just tell the truth. But then I don't know if they would listen to me anyways?!

kalidasa · 03/06/2014 16:36

Really sorry to hear that emac, hope you are feeling OK. I had two early losses before DS and conceived again the following month both times, so it can happen again pretty quickly if you'd be open to that. On the other hand, if you would prefer to have a bit of a break, don't assume you won't be fertile within a fortnight - the second time I think it would have been better if we'd waited a bit but it seemed so unlikely.

mrshjb I chart my cycles carefully and have always known exactly when I conceived. My cycles are irregular though so this is never 14 days after my period. But in my experience doctors will never believe you know your own cycle, so what I have always done is to give as the date of my LMP the date 14 days before I knew I conceived! On the other hand, in your circs if you give your real LMP you might get the scan earlier as you say. If there's a discrepancy between LMP date and scan date then, yes, they'll correct your notes in favour of the scan date in my experience.

zebra my DS will be 25 months I think when the baby arrives, if this pregnancy works out.

I have started being sick now despite loads of drugs and total bed rest (have been in bed for weeks as I had v. severe HG last time and trying to avoid it happening as badly again). Bit depressing. On the plus side I am 5+6 today and it was 5+6 that I got sent to A&E and admitted to the hospital for the first time last time. So at least I've got this far without that happening! Hate being so medicated at this early stage though. Have lost weight already too as eating such a struggle.

Hope no one else is feeling too bad.

carmen87 · 03/06/2014 18:36

I can't wait for these next few weeks to be over! Im so scared that I could m/c again! Although I'm doing my best not to think about it's so hard! Esp when last night I had horrible back ache the as when I was m/c !

Really thinking bout going for a early scan x

sophspot · 03/06/2014 19:02

Welcome everyone, I've added you onto the list, hopefully I've not missed anyone out!

Memphisbelly · 03/06/2014 19:18

Those worrying about co sleeping with a toddler and a baby..... What about sleeping with a toddler and a baby bump? Dh and me barely fit in the bed together with a bump last time....he is worried he will be relegated to the spare room! Grin

carmen87 · 03/06/2014 19:40

Doesn't help my partners not all supportive! I had a small bowl of oven chips for tea and he's having ago saying it's not healthy, not because if being pregnant but because I'll get fat! He says I've put loads of weight on in the past month and when I tryed to explain I'm 4 weeks 5 days preg it will be bloating as the same thing happened last time, he's having none of it! Was only a few month ago he wouldn't let me join a gym! Can't win! X

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 19:41

Oh Carmen, try not to worry. I know it's hard.

I'm desperately trying not to think about the very faint line and subsequent BFNs I've had. I had two BFns today and one very very very faint BFP. What will be will be. I'm actually not holding out much hope but AF isn't here and that's as good as I can get right now.

I actually feel a bit of a fraud being on this thread but goddamn, I got a BFP! :) We will see what happens.

Mimosa1 · 03/06/2014 20:14

Oh emac, I'm so sorry to hear it. I hope you're surrounded with lots of TLC.

sophspot · 03/06/2014 20:44

Thanks for the updated list jackthelab :)

MrsCK · 03/06/2014 21:31

Thanks jack for the list. It will hopefully be my DC1!

Regarding early scans...I too am petrified of a mc so really want to have one. However I do have a medical condition and I'm hoping it's the only time it'll benefit me in this pregnancy in getting me an early scan! I'll probably be classed as high risk which means my dream of a water birth won't happen :( so I'm definitely going to try and push for an early scan!!!

jdr1234 · 03/06/2014 22:14

Evening all-I have been taking the pregnacare conception tablets for past few months and have finished so am switching to pregnacare plus tomorrow, is anyone else taking these and any issues with them?

chypie2011 · 03/06/2014 23:20

Thank you Jack the lad, my EDD is 9/02/15 [smike]

chypie2011 · 03/06/2014 23:20

Memphisbelly · 03/06/2014 23:22

Jdr yes I started these around a week ago and had no problems, the conception ones made my urine lurid yellow colour but nothing like that on these.

New symptom is my boobs look really veiny already, they were like road maps by the time I had ds, that was something I put out of my mind until now! Not attractive!
