At the docs at 4:20 to make it all real! Stuck at work with the worst head ache ever ha!

Just remembered they are planing a deep clean, I work in a child's play centre and not really sure if it will be ok to do it or not, it involves cleaning the whole play frame that's thick with dust :/ xx

persepolis123 · 02/06/2014 13:41

I’m jealous of all you having midwife appointments already. They won’t see me until 10 weeks here, unless it’s changed since last time.

You finally decided to join us then? We are on the same Nov 12 thread together (I was apple).

Ernie1 · 02/06/2014 13:50

Hey jdr I don't feel like I've got symptoms either Hmm

No sore boobs, no real nausea, bit lightheaded but not as much as last week. No headaches either which I've had before. I am getting some slight cramping/twinges but that just makes me worry all the more!

Wish these first few weeks could go a bit faster...

mrshjb · 02/06/2014 14:02

I've made my first midwife appointment for Monday 16th.

I'm beyond tired at the minute. No idea how I'm going to get through the afternoon! Definitely wish these first few weeks would go faster and then you can openly moan about how rubbish you feel!!

Memphisbelly · 02/06/2014 15:19

It is 7 weeks for first appointment here. I said I know its early but due to my health issues I thought I best come and he said that 7 weeks is perfect.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 02/06/2014 15:26

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm also on the Jan thread as originally thought my EDD (by my lmp) was 17th Jan but we had an early scan (privately) yesterday and the little bean measured at 6+1 giving me an EDD of 24th Jan. It's all very confusing!

I'm 27, this is our first pregnancy and I love reading all the threads on here - definitely reassuring to read people's stories and symptoms and makes me feel much more sane/normal!!

To date, no actual sickness but LOTS of nausea and complete exhaustion which makes me wonder how I'm going to get through a 5 day week. DH is being absolutely wonderful doing all the cooking, dog walking and cleaning (well he classifies it as 'cleaning') but I still feel so guilty about being in bed at any opportunity

ZebraZeebra · 02/06/2014 16:52

Hi - can I join? Just got a very faint BFP today, three days late on AF. Due date is 9 February. We have DS1 already, he's 19 months. We'd been TTCing for about five months.

Congratulations to everyone :)

jdr1234 · 02/06/2014 17:24

Oneday- did you hear the heartbeat at 6 +1 I was told had to wait till 7 weeks to have an early scan as wouldn't detect anything before this point? I am 5 +5 but that is based on my last period so is prob a bit out!
p.s the jan thread isn't as active as this one!

ZebraZeebra · 02/06/2014 17:47

I can't even remember how you calculate the week+day thing. I was so obsessed with it with DS.

Last time I didn't get MS or nausea - I got the most horrendous heartburn at 6pm every single evening. It made me want to die. But that ended around 12 weeks. But the worst thing was every single month, right up to birth, on the day AF would have been due, was I'd have violent vomiting episodes lasting a couple of hours. Like food poisoning-chugging-water-just-to-throw-it-up-pulling-muscles vomiting, and then it would just stop, just like that. MW reckoned it was my body's reaction to not having a normal period each month. Thanks, body!

Memphisbelly · 02/06/2014 19:10

Zebra that sounds horrific! I suppose thr only good thing about that is you knew when it would strike.
Went chemist today and asked if there was anything for bloating I could take and they said no, I feel fit to pop.

persepolis123 · 02/06/2014 19:25

Is anyone having a private early scan? I'm considering it because I want to tell close family soon but want to make sure everything is ok first. I read somewhere that 97% of women who see a heartbeat at 8 weeks will take their baby home from hospital at the end of their pregnancy so I'm thinking of booking one for 8 weeks.

Memphisbelly · 02/06/2014 19:33

I am getting one on the NHS due to mecical issues but if I didn't zi would have paid for one. I will have a 4d one at 25 weeks though as we had one with ds.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 02/06/2014 19:33

jdr we didn't hear the heartbeat (I think it's much too early for that) but we could see it on the u/s.

zebra that sounds absolutely horrid! poor you!

persepolis personally I would recommend the private early scan after our experience at the weekend. We wanted to tell our parents and I also wanted to stop poas all the time in disbelief! I'll be honest, there wasn't much to see but seeing the heartbeat so strong was amazing and I definitely feel like I can believe it more now!

carmen87 · 02/06/2014 20:11

I went to docs n got folic acid and filled a form for midwife, won't see her till I'm 8-10 weeks :( I'm only 4 weeks 3 days!

Started feeling I'll today! Really bad head , burning up and feeling sick! But it will be soooo worth it!

I went to my friends 4d scan the other week it was amazing so I'm planing in getting one later one! Xx

ZebraZeebra · 02/06/2014 20:40

Those early scans sound so great. Sadly we have no cause to have one and no money to pay for one.

Mimosa1 · 02/06/2014 22:15

Hi ladies, may I join you? I found out I was pregnant a few days ago, and think I'm 5w+2, with an EDD of Feb 1st. My husband and I were in the midst of getting referred for IVF and waiting for 3 day bloods... and AF never arrived! I still can't believe the whole thing. I don't really feel pregnant at all (except for sore boobs) so weirdly looking forward to a few more symptoms to confirm. We're thinking of booking a private early scan next Sat (will just be 6 weeks) as it just doesn't feel real. Have any of you done one so early? What are your thoughts?
Good luck and congratulations to you all :-)

Memphisbelly · 02/06/2014 22:22

Mimoso welcome, sounds like us ttc dc2 and were being refered by doc when I realised I had my dates wrong! With ds I had lots of early scans, I had to have internal ones until 7 weeks as nothing showed on a abdominal scan then I think I was 7+3 when I saw heartbeat, but then again I have a tilted womb so that may be why.

Memphisbelly · 02/06/2014 22:22

*mimosa

Ernie1 · 02/06/2014 22:28

Hi all - still not feeling too bad so worrying lots! I even went back on a chat forum I was on when I was pregnant with DS to check when I got symptoms. Looks like I didn't start feeling too rough until 6-7 weeks so feel likely less worried now...

Mimosa1 · 02/06/2014 22:32

Thanks memphisbelly - am still trying to get my head around it!

Welcome, Ernie

Lydiejo · 03/06/2014 02:13

I think I'm starting to believe that I'm pregnant now that my period is late. I think it's just jarring because DH and I only agreed to start trying for #2 right before we dtd 2 weeks ago. No symptoms here yet.

Scheduled my midwife appointment today for 8 weeks. I think that is the typical in America. Vaginal ultrasounds are not nice but I really like the reassurance before I tell family. Really hoping to find a homebirth midwife when we move out of state in a few months. I'm sure moving with a toddler and pregnant is going to be really fun! Ha

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 06:19

Took another test this morning - different brand, no line. This is torturous.

MrsCK · 03/06/2014 06:33

Oh zebra it could be a different sensitivity? A line is a line after all!!! test again at the weekend if you can bear to wait!

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 06:59

Thanks MrsCK my instinct is it's all ok. Feel very dodgy - sick and bloated. My stomach has gone rock hard like last time. I bought some internet cheapie a and they're arriving at the weekend. I guess it's just a waiting game.

CursiveLetters · 03/06/2014 10:13

How is everyone feeling today? I've had a cold lately, who knows if its pregnancy or not and I'm now hacking up giant sticky globs. What fun!

Felt really uncomfortable last night, just achey all over but am feeling fine today.
