Thanks Memphis have my early scan appointment tomorrow morning so touchwood that will bring only good news!

cactusnic · 04/07/2014 23:31

Good luck on your scan LittleMiss.

Nice to see others have had their scans too, and they went well.

I'm really hoping that my dating scan will put me back to where i "should" be, more or less. We're desperate to tell DS (and the world!) but don't want to till around 12 weeks.

I've not been nauseous today, but am shattered still - still not sleeping at night, napping during the day, but wrecked.

JacktheLab · 05/07/2014 07:01

Memphis, you probably do the right thing, I have soooo many clothes and toys left over from DS we are drowning! But my husband says if it's a girl then he wants to get rid of most of the clothes and get new ones, but I'm a bit, maybe, what about the cost!!!

Memphisbelly · 05/07/2014 07:55

Jack the lab. When ds was little my mum bought him a new top or outfit weekly I cannot see this one being any different, slightest break on a toy and its in the bin, dh hates stuff going in the loft for no reason so after this baby as its our last everything will go as they grow out of it. Ds was a summer baby so I am glad I kept nothing as this one will need cardigains, snowsuits and wooly hats.
My friend doesn't want any more children but cannot bear to get rid of any of her clothes, pushchairs or anything, they are moving house now and she is still taking it with her seems utter madness!

Wth ds I bought a packet of vests and baby grows in a different size every month so by the time I had him I had all the basics for the first year, I also bought nappies and wipes and bought none for 6 months, won't have the room to do it this time though.

JacktheLab · 05/07/2014 09:36

I'm a bit luckier as Jacob was an October baby so I think I might get away with his clothes for the next one. This is our last too so as we use up/grow out of things then they will have to go, sob!

If it's a girl then we will need new clothes after she's six months as the clothes we have are very very boy, but that could be fun shopping :)

Hope everyone is having a good saturday? Nine weeks here so still three weeks till I might have a scan, but we go on holiday next week for a fortnight so it hopefully wont feel like such a long time :)

hufflepuffle · 05/07/2014 13:10

Memphisbelly · 05/07/2014 18:01

Ah thats a fab pic, I cannot wait for my next scan!
Really tired here again today, dreading ds's party tomorrow the noise and all the food is making me feel nad already, luckily mum is coming to do the buffet for me

pillowaddict · 05/07/2014 23:36

Hi all, can I join? 9 weeks in and feeling the pain of tiredness and sickness, wishing the next few weeks away to hopefully feel better! Already have dd who is 21 months.

GeekyHybrid · 06/07/2014 08:56

Welcome huffle and pillow. Great scan pic littlmiss.

Well made it to my mom's, managed to keep her clueless about her surprise birthday party. I had planned to tell her after the party so that she didn't blurt out anything whilst drinking! An hour before she asked "you're not preggers are you?". I avoided answering, got the party out of the way and then presented her with her happy birthday grandma card. Yeesh! How do they 'just know'?. Apart from me being really tired, going to the loo all the time, gaining weight, skin gone mad and not being able to eat a full meal. OK - maybe it is obvious to those who know you! Just can't wait for the first scan now so that we can relax / start getting excited.

Memphisbelly · 06/07/2014 09:24

Ah geeky! They do just know, we told mum as soon as we got a positive test but she had asked the week before of I was pregnant, dh's mum also guessed but a few weeks later (by then I had avoided her for weeks through illness though)

blankfornames · 06/07/2014 09:37

My Mum definitely knows even though DH & I have decided to wait to tell them after Tuesday's scan. They know us! She made a comment to me last week about a good maternity hospital nearby...! I can't wait to tell her! It'll be her first grandchild to live within a 2 mile radius of her (Fx).
How did you/do you plan on telling them?!

Memphisbelly · 06/07/2014 10:46

I just said you are going to become a nanny one last time. she said you? my sis has no womb and my bro won't have anymore so I don't know who she thought. then once it sunk in she said she had a feeling.we plan in taking a pic of ds at scan and saying he has some exciting news and thats how we plan on telling everyone.
I can't wait to tell people, they know we were desperate for another and docs said to stop trying at 32. I am 32 in new yearGrin Grin

blankfornames · 06/07/2014 10:50

Good timing on your part Memphis!!
Ah that's really sweet! My sis & brother know but wanted definite scan confirmation before we tell the parents...otherwise they'll be worrying!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 06/07/2014 14:13

We told our parents on Fathers Day giving our Dads Happy Grandad cards instead, it was lovely to see their faces as they worked it out! How did the party go today Memphis?

After our scan yesterday my OH has become very keen and is reading lots online and having pleasure telling me about hemeroids, swollen ankles and the labour!!! So much to look forward to! Wink

blankfornames · 06/07/2014 16:21

Welcome Pillow...congrats!
Little miss, that's really lovely that he's getting so involved now.
My DH hasn't been saying too much, hopefully the scan on Tuesday will bring things to life more for him. I think he's afraid to get too attached to the idea again after our previous mc.
Roll on Tuesday!

SaltySeaBird · 06/07/2014 16:51

I've only posted on here once but despite seeing a heartbeat at 7 week scan I miscarried and had emergency erpc last week due to uncontrolled bleeding. Good luck to all of you with your pregnancies.

Memphisbelly · 06/07/2014 17:38

So sorry salty

Memphisbelly · 06/07/2014 17:41

Little moss thats nice that your dh is more keen now, the party was fab thank you a total success, my lovely friends who know I am pg tidied up for me as I cut the cake up and sorted party bags, dh chatted to his friends who don't know and I tried to stay away from them for fear of them spotting it, then my lovely mum came back and helped empty the hall of party stuff and took ds for afternoon, are going for a curry tonight and she will come back and put him to bed, wondering if I manage to eat tonight, fancied a chinese last night, it came and I picked it again!

JacktheLab · 06/07/2014 18:00

Oh salty sorry to hear your news Hmm

blankfornames · 06/07/2014 18:07
