I just have constant nausea at the moment. Just trawling old posts to see if any good remedies. Sometimes I think it would be better to be sick.

I dyed my hair on week 5 with no problem. Used the same home care kit. Your skin is more sensitive when pg so do a patch test. I think the only thing that's not so great is bleaching but more to do with inhaling fumes.

Purpletoes · 23/06/2014 16:52

Hi

Can I join? Got my BFP on Friday. It's been a bit faint but have been seeing if the line gets darker everyday.

I have a digital test but trying to hold off till next week to see 2-3 weeks.

My lmp puts me at 27th feb.

I am a bit anxious as I have previously had a mmc but since have had DS who is a typical 2 year old at the moment.. Grin

I have no ms yet but do feel drained. I have had some brown and light pink mucus but no cramps so fingers crossed this time but still feeling anxious. Looking forward to reading through the thread. Smile

Memphisbelly · 23/06/2014 17:37

mimosa I dye my hair every 3 weeks so done it a few times its totally safe

Petal7 · 23/06/2014 19:01

Please may I join too?
I got my bfp last Saturday, which makes me 5+2 (edd 19th Feb) with number 4!
Very tired, but otherwise well. Dreading morning sickness, which has got progressively worse with each pregnancy.
Look forward to having a moment to read back through the thread and sharing the coming months!

fluffymouse · 23/06/2014 19:10

Welcome purple toes and mimosa. Yet more February babies!

Did you include your cycle length in the calculation when working out due date? I'm just saying this as it can make quite a big difference if you have a cycle than significantly varies from 28 days.

fluffymouse · 23/06/2014 19:13

donkir I found that ginger biscuits worked well last time I was pregnant.

I have started with the 'morning' sickness now. It's more in the evenings though! :(

First day at work since bfp was tiring!

VegasCupcpake6 · 23/06/2014 19:38

The spotting I had earlier became more red coloured this evening so just got back from the walk in centre. They've booked us in for a scan at the early pregnancy unit on Wednesday morning and told me not to go into work t. Wish I could e

VegasCupcpake6 · 23/06/2014 19:39

Oops, that wasn't finished!
Told me not to go into work tomorrow. Wish I could enjoy having the day off and having an early scan without having such an awful feeling hanging over me!

BanglesSpangles · 23/06/2014 20:52

Hi everyone,
I've been merrily hovering around various boards on mn for the past few months (feel like i know the ladies in the 'just shagging' threads intimately...like an extremely covert spy...or some kind of stalker). Anyway, now I have my bfp, thought it was time to stop being rude and say hello

Some stats- held out for as long as i could and did my one and only test at 20DPO last tuesday, reckon im coming up to the six weeks stage now, so expecting dc1 around 19th feb

LittleMissSunshine33 · 23/06/2014 21:03

Welcome bangles!

Vegas stay positive some ladies can bleed early on. How many weeks are you?

LittleMissSunshine33 · 23/06/2014 21:03

Has anyone taken paracetamol? Heard it's ok but worry about tablets etc?

Surf25 · 23/06/2014 21:08

Welcome new ladies! Paracetamol is fine, just take as prescribed/directed on the box. Don't take ibuprofen tho. Hope that helps, little miss

BanglesSpangles · 23/06/2014 21:13

Thanks sunshine :)

From what i understand, in the early stages paracetamol is ok, ibuprofen not so good- I wrenched my shoulder last week and did some reading- in spite of finding out paracetamol was fine, i still tried to sit it out but ended up caving at 3 o clock in the morning when i couldnt sleep because of the pain!

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 21:15

Paracetamol is fine; my midwife assured me it's fine to take at any point in pregnancy :)

LittleMissSunshine33 · 23/06/2014 21:35

Thanks ladies am popping the pills right now!

Am suffering with such bad hay fever it could be a cold but either way it's hard to do anything when I feel so rough and I have presentation tomorrow for my new September parents (teacher)! Roll on Summer holidays! Grin

JacktheLab · 23/06/2014 21:50

Vegas, will be thinking of you, am sure everything will be fine thoughThanks

Hello to everyone just joining ;)

I'm shattered I'm sure I wasn't so tired last time and low level ms all day, wah wah! DH works away Monday to Wednesday night and ds was being brilliant tonight so I've been mostly vegging on the couch since we got home :)

Cried buckets at a film tonight though, it's a bit pathetic!

Ticktick · 23/06/2014 22:16

Weird question.... Anyone else REALLY thirsty? Dry mouth and lips all the time, its driving me nuts!

Memphisbelly · 23/06/2014 22:19

Ticktick normally when not pg I only drink about half a litre of fluid a day but I am drinking loads and loads, I did with ds as well and I think that is one reason I got no stretch marks as I was so hydrated for first time in my life!
Dh is being amazing he is still doing everything without moaning at all, i need to get new bras too, all of my bras are too small and when I take them off my chest hurts.

fluffymouse · 23/06/2014 22:34

Anyone else waiting for the March thread? It will make it feel a bit more real for me.

blankfornames · 23/06/2014 22:51

Ticktick, I'm like an old lady with false teeth the noises I make from having such a dry mouth! I couldn't understand it!
Welcome to the newbies & also to those due on 19th of Feb..me too! Had my first dose of ms today. I quickly ate an orange&, instantly felt better. It's reassuring all the same!
Vegas, hope everything's ok. Thinking of you.

Surf25 · 24/06/2014 06:42

Morning everyone! Thinking of you, Vegas.
Ticktick - yep! Thirsty all the time, must be drinking about 3L plus a day of water and juice as well as copious amounts of tea!! Weirdly found that having a few skittles yesterday helped!
DH is also being quite sweet here, has been quite kind and thoughtful since we found out. Wondering what the girls will make of it all when we tell them, not sure when that will be...
Hope everyone has a good day and not too much ms

angeltattoo · 24/06/2014 07:23

Great news lawyer and others who have seen a HB.

Keeping everything crossed for you Vegas.

Mimosa, I have been pg before and I was sooo ill at 8 weeks, I went to a friends wedding and spent half of it with my head down the loo, I ha burst blood vessels in my eyes because of throwing up :-/ so 8 weeks was definitely the worst bit, I started to feel better soon after. I was still sick (every day until 23 weeks!) but the nausea and feeling constantly hungover got better soon after 8 weeks. Hang in there!

Yes to being thirsty here, also very tired, not much nausea but an hour's worth yesterday brought it all back to me.

6+3 today, I am considering booking a private early scan at 8 weeks to see if thins are ok.

Memphisbelly · 24/06/2014 08:49

I am now 9 weeks and still taking sickness tablets, but for past 2 mornings I haven't woken feeling sick which is a bonus. I put the tv on last night and it was a cooking program, the sight of food made me heave. I just don't fancy any food at all.
I am still waking feeling shattered though!
Anyone elses hair greasy? Mine is going greasy really quickly and its driving me mad

JacktheLab · 24/06/2014 09:41

Yup Memphis, tired all the time, more than last time but then I wasn't toddler wrangling too then Wink

I want to book an early scan but my dh isn't bothered, I'm hoping a i can get a early dating scan as we are on holiday over the 12 week period Grin

freneticfox · 24/06/2014 10:02

I have discovered a new nausea repellent. Full fat coke (which I normally hate) and cheesy Quavers.

Went out to the sandwich van at work and got 'em both on a whim and they're REALLY helping.

I can definitely see myself munching my way through the next six weeks.
