So tired and in such a foul mood!!
Poor DP can't do anything right!
Wish I could do anything to stop feeling so sluggish and bloated. Any suggestions?

freneticfox · 22/06/2014 13:39

Feeling quite low today. MS has properly arrived the past two days and I keep having hour-long waves of nausea, no sickness yet though thankfully.

People keep telling me it's definitely going to get a lot worse before it gets better, despite knowing about my phobia - not that I want people to sugar coat it, but it'd be nice if there were stories of SOME people not going downhill.

7w today and all kinds of emotional :(

donkir · 22/06/2014 13:58

According to my App I'm 7 weeks today but midwife reckons I'm 3 days behind that. My mood swings are all over the place it's like pmt x100. I've got the nausea but no ms as yet. Gone off food completely it's an effort to eat anything and when I do I'm left bloated. Roll on 12 weeks. I'm waiting not so patiently for the glowing stage.

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 14:47

Freneticfox is it the actually being sick that bothers you? I have had awful nausea but have only been sick once in the supermarket, Can you go to the docs and get some meds? i have cyclazine and it has almost completely stopped my nausea, im still feeling rubbish but not sicky.
Dh also can do no right here, I have been in bed all day he has done a food shop, walked dog, took ds park and made me lunch yet him eating crisps set my teeth on edge and I snapped, he is being a total star but I still may have to kill him Grin

freneticfox · 22/06/2014 15:04

Memphis, it's the fear of just suddenly throwing up without warning. Always has been my issue with my phobia. I would be thoroughly OK if someone said 'OK, you're not going to be sick and you'll just have nausea'. Very weird I know.

If it worsens, I may go back to my GP.

DH is being wonderfully patient with me, I hope that lasts ;)

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 15:20

Of my friends and family that know I am pg only one has actually had bad sickness, they all report of severe nausea but not actually being sick so hopefully you will be ok.

freneticfox · 22/06/2014 16:11

That's reassuring :)

Anyone else feeling like the second trimester bloom is a myth right now? ;)

GeekyHybrid · 22/06/2014 16:16

I'll reassure you too frenetic it's just feeling very nauseous but not actually being sick in my case too. littlemiss as well as being off alcohol I'm off chocolate too, about the only sweet thing I can tolerate is fruit, I eating 3-4 pieces a day and I used to struggle to eat 1! However I definitely spoke too soon, today I feel rubbish again :-( Glad you're feeling better Memphis, may pester my docs again at this rate.

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 17:00

Geeky with ds I craved so much fruit up to giving birth it cost us a fortune and it seems fruit is my thing this time too, never eat it normally, not eaten cakes, biscuits or sweets which I normally adore!
The second trimester I loved being pg last time but as the first wasn't bad last time I am not holding my breath this time, just been for a walk around the village it has about killed me off!
Dh says I need to get some shirts or layers as I look pregnant and he doesn't think I can hide it much longer! Last time I got a bump early on but then it just firmed up and didnt actually expand until around 20 weeks, hoping its the case this time too

LittleMissSunshine33 · 22/06/2014 19:29

Oh dear I was at a BBQ today really didn't fancy eating the thought of meat made me feel sick except sausages I really fancied one so picked up two but they were under done so instead of anything sensible what did I do ... I cried!! I had to run up to the bathroom I could not stop! my OH thought it was hilarious!

freneticfox · 22/06/2014 19:46

Thanks for the reassurances, ladies. I'm feeling a little better, less tearful. littlemiss, I hear ya on that; I'm crying at the most random things at the moment!

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 20:15

Frenetic glad you feel a bit better.
Littlemiss oh dear...I cried today because I am so hungry but have no energy to eat, 8 nibble a bit then it zaps my energy. Yesterday our wedding video arrived...... Imagine the tears....I actially cried because I looked gormless in one shot Grin

JacktheLab · 22/06/2014 20:37

Hi guys,

I'm quite emotional at the moment too, I can't remember what it was but there was something really daft that nearly set me off a couple of days ago!!!

Seven weeks been and gone, only five more till I can get a scan and hopefully confirm there is something in there!!

ProudlymadeinSA · 22/06/2014 20:55

11 hour overnight flight back to UK with awful nausea. Aaaaaaaargh.

Surf25 · 22/06/2014 22:22

Oh yes, just waiting for the emotions to go into overdrive any day now! Hope you do feel a wee bit better frenetic, I genuinely know a lot of ladies in rl who have escaped ms altogether or just stuck with nausea that didn't progress... Fingers crossed for all of us!
And yes, Memphis, two daughters here so time will tell whether the differences so far are in any way gender related! I also had that horrible tinny metallic taste in my mouth all the time before, but not this time..funny business!
Would encourage anyone who is feeling awful with nausea and sickness to pop along to the GP and try some medication lots of folk find it a massive help Smile

lawyeredout82 · 23/06/2014 10:24

Some good news from me! Been for follow up scan today and they saw the (tiny) baby, heartbeat and fetal pole. We were very prepared for bad news (given that last week they told us they are very rarely wrong
) and am now feeling terrible as I had a few drinks last week as it was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to cheer
ourselves up. We are nonetheless delighted and surprised so that baby on board badge will be coming out after all!

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 10:38

Scan went well; 1.8mm heartbeat! Am actually closer to 6 weeks than 7, so a bit deflated at the thought of feeling sick for longer, but nonetheless, seeing a little flicker in there was incredible!

JacktheLab · 23/06/2014 11:59

Hurrah frenetic and lawyered great news :)

Memphisbelly · 23/06/2014 12:07

great news both of you!

Surf25 · 23/06/2014 13:44

Aw great news lawyered and frenetic! So pleased for you both!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 23/06/2014 14:21

Aww fantastic news! Must be so exciting to see a little heartbeat Smile

lawyeredout82 · 23/06/2014 14:37

We could actually hear the heartbeat as the sonographer turned the sound on - this is our first pregnancy so a whole world of wonders but even so, that was pretty exciting. Very strange to think it is only 3mm long but still has a heartbeat!!

Mimosa1 · 23/06/2014 15:19

Hurray lawyer and frenetic - am thrilled for you!

Ladies who have been PG before, when was your MS the worst? I'm 8 weeks and feeling really rubbish and hoping it will get better soon.

Also roots are really starting to show (am v grey). Anyone taken the plunge dying their hair?

Welcome to all the newbies! Xx

VegasCupcpake6 · 23/06/2014 15:31

Afternoon all
I know this is tmi but I'm hoping for some reassurance!
Been to the loo at work and everything seemed fine except when I wiped there was a little light brown discharge. I haven't got any pain and it really was a very small amount but its our first baby and I'm not sure if this is normal!

JacktheLab · 23/06/2014 15:34

Vegas I had that last time, ds was totally fine. It's bright red blood that you need to worry about :)
