Thank you Memphis.

Welcome ticktock!

fluffymouse · 21/06/2014 10:15

I feel like you too ticktock. I haven't told anyone apart from dh. It doesn't feel 'real' yet.

freneticfox · 21/06/2014 10:46

Hi to new BFPs! Prepare for a weird couple of weeks; I'm 7w tomorrow and it still doesn't feel real!

Hi Tori! Nice to see you here. Feel like I'm cheating in our bonanza club a bit but its better now there are two of us!

Being preg so far is very surreal, nothing has changed and I'm still poas every week to make its real. Symptoms so far are big boobs, massive thirst and tiredness. Booking app is not till 24th July at which point I will be 10w+6! It's like a lifetime away. Strongly considering an early scan to make it all real.

Tori how many weeks are you? It's been a while since I was pregnant so don't remember about timing of arranging for the booking appointment. Did you just request an early pregnancy scan?

Memphisbelly · 21/06/2014 17:56

I am shattered, going out tonight for my friends birthday, luckily mum can only babysit until 11 I am so tired, been asleep on sofa for 2 hours!

bellaboo88 · 21/06/2014 18:43

I've just got my booking appointment through too for 7th July.

Really confused on dates...

Lmp5/5, first hint of a line 7/6 & my cycles are either 27 or 32 normally. I got bfp two weeks ago today but at my epu scan on Thurs they said bean was 4mm n that puts me at less than five weeks...at the time LMP said 6-4 & I thought 5-5? Any ideas? X

thingsarelookingup · 21/06/2014 18:53

Bella you might have ovulated late and got an early positive in that case. I first tested positive when I was 3w + 3 (10dpo). If we assume the same for you, you would now be 5w + 3 so that pretty much fits in with the scan. Does this sound possible to you?

bellaboo88 · 21/06/2014 19:40

Things, that does sound more realistic. It would put me at ov on cd24, around the time of faint opk & mental dream about dating bill Murray, but last DTD was cd20...my dp I'm sure would be super chuffed with super spunks lol! Xx

freneticfox · 21/06/2014 20:32

I've apparently been visited by the morning sickness fairy today, feeling awful. Meh, curling up into a ball is inevitable. Wake me when it's time for the 2nd trimester?

A dream about Bill Murray when you possibly conceived! I love it, but I also find it a little disturbing. I think it's something you best never tell your child. They might not bounce back from that knowledge Grin.

Frenetic I hope you feel better soon. I have been lucky in escaping morning sickness so far so you have my sympathy.

freneticfox · 21/06/2014 22:10

Getting over a sickness phobia so it's quite tough. I'm seven weeks tomorrow so keep telling myself it would have hit by now if it was going to get really bad.

Yep. I'm delusional.

Surf25 · 21/06/2014 22:24

Sorry you've been feeling rough frenetic. I've been v surprised to not have ms yet, as did with previous two esp dd1, but then I can't really remember when it started with them (and it wasn't even that long ago!!) so am trying not to lull myself into a false sense of security incase it is just round the corner! Same for a cuppa in the morning Memphis - I feel your pain as had that before though am still able to stomach it as long as I drink it v hot and not too quickly...doubt that will last..! It is funny keeping the secret although in a strange way I quite like it, although have had a few random folk asking if we would have more this week and have been trying to give a non-committal answer while smiling to myself!
Welcome to the new folk! Does start to feel more real once any new EDDs will become march! And with booking apointments scheduled - haven't booked mine yet...

Memphisbelly · 21/06/2014 23:49

Surf have you got two daughters? i had no ms with ds at all and my doc said ms is more common with twins and girls.
Instead of tea I am drinking horlicks!
Been out tonight and my two friends know I am pg but in the pub three people asked if I want anymore, also my friend put pics on fb of me drinking out of a tankard and I got two messages saying erm I hope you aren't drinking.....so it had people fooled, it was ginger ale Grin
Dh is out tonight at a big Kasabian gig so I have the bed to myself....bliss

fluffymouse · 21/06/2014 23:55

Gosh morning sickness is such a misnomer. It should be all day and night sickness. I can't remember when it started last time but it was terrible and lasted till the end of pregnancy.. I remember retching the night before I went into labour!

Memphis good idea. I went out with the car so had a good excuse not to drink. Was weird to be sober amongst a load of very drunk people though!

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 00:40

Fluffy until midweek I haven't been able to function but the sickness tablets the doc gave me have changed me, also came home to find 2 weeks of ironing all done by my lovely mother!

AddictedToRadley · 22/06/2014 03:56

Anyone else struggling to sleep thanks to ms? This is rough. The only thing that calms it a little is bananas and I've eaten so many in the past couple of weeks that I think I need to buy shared in the things! Also worried baby will come out looking/smelling like a banana!!

It's almost 4am and I can't sleep thanks to headache, dizziness (really bad!) and the oh so glamorous ms. I'm so tired I could cry :'(

Oh well mustn't dwell on it - got to remember that there's a beautiful bean growing inside me and remind myself that all the horror stories of 9 months of ms are few and far between (please not me! I couldn't cope with 9 more hours let alone 9 weeks or worse 9 months.....)

bellaboo88 · 22/06/2014 06:41

Bless you all with ms :-( at what point has it all kicked in?

Had another look at scan notes, did more googling & if going by scan, I'm deffo only 5w3 today, seems its quite possible I found out at 8dpo with a veeryy late ov...but I've known for over two weeks now. Impatient already!

My app lies& puts me at 7w today :-( xx

GeekyHybrid · 22/06/2014 07:32

Hi bellaboo, my ms kicked in on week 5 and fluffymouse is correct in stating ms is a misnomer, everywaking hour sickness more like! Bananas, crackers and bread are all good. On the plus side I'm either getting really good at managing it or it's easing slightly
Today we're off shopping to source the cider for the church fair, now normally I'd be chief taster (hence I was assigned the job!) however I don't even fancy tasting cider at the moment (you know something major's happening to your body when that happens!!) so looks like I'm driving and he's tasting :-\ I just hope I've provided sufficient training for him over the years ;-)

LittleMissSunshine33 · 22/06/2014 09:32

Welcome any newbies!

Sorry the dreaded MS has got some of you!

Geeky I haven't fancied alcohol either which is great as before I would love a wine with dinner but I fear that chocolate has now become its replacement! I read most women will put on at least 2 stone! Ahhhh! I think I've put on 3 pounds now but at least 2 of those are my boobs!! Need to go bra shopping, a plus side to pregnancy Grin

Memphisbelly · 22/06/2014 09:45

My boobs are already hideous, grown to an f cup and veiny blurgh.

We have been invited to a BBQ and we can't go as I cannot stomach being near the smells of cooking and I have stopped eatimg meat as I wretch at thought of it. I can safely say if I felt like this with ds we would have stopped at one, it will all be worth it but I am struggling.

JacktheLab · 22/06/2014 12:54

Afternoon all,

I'm feeling the ms pain, although its really not bad at all, just a general bleurghyness, so much sympathy to others with proper symptoms!
