Hah! Poor second child/fourth grandchild!

My DH phoned up to let our parents know that there's another one on the way, apparently they were all pleased but generally a bit meh about it all.

Feel better letting them know, fingers crossed there won't be any interfering, something my side of the family are renowned for!

So glad it's Friday night, I've awfully tired this week.

Hope everyone is well?

freneticfox · 20/06/2014 19:32

Evening Jack! We told our Mums last weekend, and they both get very emotional! I'm an only child so will be my Mum's first grandchild; we lost my Dad 18 months ago so it is a much needed uplift for the fam :)

I feel like I got a fresh batch of hormones this afternoon, suddenly about 4pm, BAM. Tired. No, exhausted. Have only been able to sit on the sofa and whimper since getting in from work 0_o

scummy2b · 20/06/2014 20:10

I'm so sorry Mrsm Thanks and [hugs]

LittleMissSunshine33 · 20/06/2014 20:17

So sorry MrM take time and rest it's a horrible sad experience Sad

thingsarelookingup · 20/06/2014 20:27

So sorry mrsm. That is truly awful to go through. I hope you are being kind to yourself.

thingsarelookingup · 20/06/2014 20:30

Ooh I'm really looking forward to telling my parents jack. It will be their fourth grandchild too but I think they'll still be pretty excited. I think the 'meh' response might actually come from the fact that they know it's really still months away and the pregnancy bit really isn't exciting for other people? I'm sure they'll be excited as the time approaches.

AddictedToRadley · 20/06/2014 20:31

I'm so sorry to read your posts MrsM. Absolutely heartbreaking news. I hope you have all the love and support you need. After a total of 13 mc's I know how awful it is and hope you conceive again as soon as you feel ready. Good luck for the future.

AddictedToRadley · 20/06/2014 20:36

I had to post this message separately as I felt bad adding it on to my post for MrsM.

So I went for a scan yesterday and I'm pleased to say that baby has a heart beat and a fetal pole :) All is well and I'll have scans every two weeks (thank goodness! I couldn't manage with two scans in my entire 40 weeks!!). It is def only one baby though which I must say surprised DP and myself as I'm showing so much that I'm already in maternity clothes and look nearer 4 months!! Lol

On the scan she noted that she couldn't see my left ovary and this is the second time that's been noted - does anyone know if this is normal? I know I ovulated from my right ovary as I had slight cramping at ovulation but just wondering if left ovary is ok! Lol

Memphisbelly · 20/06/2014 20:58

Jack your post made me laugh!
Dh told his family the other day, I had ante natal and post natal depression last time and was sure mil had it in for me (obviously hormones) she wasn't excited at all about ds. Looking back we had only been together 6 months and she isn't a loving person like my mum but she was very happy when he told her...well she guessed. And when he told fil he kept saying well done over and over again Grin mil has annpyed me over the past year or so asking if we are trying for a girl....noooo we are trying for a baby!

So glad to not feel sick again today, These tablets are amazing!

freneticfox · 20/06/2014 21:30

Random Q, does anyone feel queasy after taking pregnancy vitamins? I'm taking a multi-vit with Folic acid, and I always feel a bit sick after taking it, despite making sure it's with food...

Memphisbelly · 20/06/2014 21:35

I haven't been taking mine as I have been too ill to swallow it but will be trying again tomorrow

donkir · 20/06/2014 21:46

I take mine at night I'm currently taking pregnacare every night and a separate omega 3 one every other night. The omega 3 definitely makes me feel worse. I know I should take with food but I'm so rubbish if forget so I just got into the habit of switching my contraceptive pill to vitamins. I was taking 7 seas vitamins and these didn't make me feel I'll and are so much smaller.

freneticfox · 20/06/2014 21:51

I've been REALLY lucky so far (touches wood) in that I've not had any major food aversions but my vitamins always seem to set off my tum.

GeekyHybrid · 20/06/2014 22:31

Thinking of you MrsM, be easy on yourself and we wish you all the best for the future Thanks

Skye89 · 20/06/2014 23:58

So sorry MrsM, take care of yourself and I hope you're getting the best rl support Thanks

fluffymouse · 21/06/2014 07:56

Hi all, New to the thread. Just got bfp and due date is 28th February :)

Memphisbelly · 21/06/2014 08:46

Welcome fluffymouse.... To have a Feb 28th now on here that means within the next week a March 2015 thread will pop up soon and we wont be newbies

I slept 10 hours last night, still fighting sickness in the mornings until my tablet kicks in and I am totally gutted I don't fancy a cuppa at all!

Ticktick · 21/06/2014 09:14

Morning ladies, room for another one?

I got my bfp about a week ago, my edd is 11 feb and I am 6w+1. It's so tricky not being to talk to people about being pregnant and all the worries of the early few weeks.

So glad I have found this forum!
