Mrsm14 · 19/06/2014 15:22

Awful morning here. Got to the airport, having got my head around a bit of dark blood and then went to the loo just before boarding and saw a little tiny clot in the toilet bowl and red blood. Sorry if this is Tmi but had to get on flight in tears and then had a panic attack on the plane. Now sat in tears in a beautiful romantic apartment in croatia with period like cramps, worrying it might all be over. Husband has offered to find a taxi to look for a hospital but I just don't want to go and sit in an er too. Is that stupid? Do I need to go to hospital? There hasn't been any blood since but def have cramping Sad

jenmcspen · 19/06/2014 15:32

I had a little bit of bleeding and a small clot and nearly worried myself to death. Turned out everything was fine and still get the odd bit of cramping now. How far along are you? I hope everything is okay and u actually get to enjoy ur holiday a little x

Mrsm14 · 19/06/2014 15:35

Thanks so much for replying. Feeling awfully alone today. I'm about 8 weeks now. Husband keeps saying maybe we should go to hospital but am I right in thinking there's not much they can do even if something is going wrong? At least in the apartment I am comfortable, even if I am in a bit of a state :(

ProudlymadeinSA · 19/06/2014 15:38

Mrs m -so sorry to hear this. You will probably drive yourself crazy staying in the apartment. While it doesn't necessarily sound like you need ER, it may be hard to find an English speaking doctor late on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning for a GP appt, if you definitely want to see someone. Where are you in Croatia? Can we help with googling hospitals/doctors? The alternative is sitting it out, which may not be much fun either. Again, I'm so sorry and am keeping my fingers crossed.

jenmcspen · 19/06/2014 15:43

Is your cramping a similar level to period pains, or much worse?

ProudlymadeinSA · 19/06/2014 15:59

I've just realised it's Thursday not Friday! What an idiot. Sorry!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 19/06/2014 18:24

MrsM hope you're ok must be hard on holiday but I would check it out otherwise you will worry your whole holiday Sad must be scary abroad but reading about it ladies have had this and been fine!

blankfornames · 19/06/2014 19:52

Hi MrsM, sorry to hear you're going through this. I'm sure it's nothing but perhaps go see if you can see a doctor. That happened me when i was in Thailand & they did an ultrasound on me. They did one the following day also as I kept cramping & they could compare photos. For the sake of your holiday & piece of mind. Ask reception, they'll point you in the right direction. Hope you're ok

GeekyHybrid · 19/06/2014 20:33

Thinking of you MrsM, fingers crossed that you can get some reassurance and get on with your holiday.

I had a fun day, sat down with the boss to go through the 3 page 'instruction' regarding company policy on maternity followed by the 9 page risk assessment for expecting women. So as well as no chemicals or heavy lifting I now also have to avoid livestock / wildlife, no ladders and worst of all, no tractor driving :-( At least we managed to have a laugh at some of it, 9 pages, yeesh!

Memphisbelly · 19/06/2014 20:52

Jenmcspen I don't know of many people who take their dp with them for booking in, it is just checking your urine, taking bloods, filling in a book and giving you loads of leaflets, all they asked me about family history with heart problems and diabetes. With ds I just took dh around 18 week mark as then they could hear the heartbeat.

Mrs how worrying, really hope it passes, thinking of you.

Went doctors today and got some sickness tablets, managed to hoover! Still feel very dodgy and went tesco for tea and left with some muscles and blackberries then had to leave heaving, thought of eating meat makes me so ill.

Josieurso · 19/06/2014 21:43

Hi everyone,
My name is Josie. My friend adviced me to join this as I am pregnant with my first baby. I'm 36yrs & I am 8 weeks pregnant. My due date is 2nd February 2015. I've been with my partner for nearly 11 years & we only started trying for a baby at two months ago. We are exstatic!!!
So far I've been getting really bad wind & mild cramps, also this week my boobs are really sore. My stomac is huge! There are twins in my family & kinda scared at the rate I'm growing!! Lol
Is it just me or does everyone feel like all they want is to fast forward time to the 12 week scan so as to hear the heart beat & know everything is okay?
Anyway congratulation ladies! Yey here's to our February babies ;)) xx

Memphisbelly · 19/06/2014 21:55

Welcome josie! I cannot wait for 12 weeks just so that it can be common knowledge, I feel like I am lying to everyone by keeping it a secret, we told inlaws at the weekend as I have been so ill they were getting suspicious that I was in hiding!

Phantomteadrinker · 19/06/2014 22:48

Hi, can I please creep in...?got my bfp this week. Completely surprise dc3, slightly terrified Smile

donkir · 19/06/2014 22:57

When do the hormones stop going haywire I'm completely psycho at the moment. OH doesn't seen to understand that all I need is a hug. Even 12yr old is asking when mummy's hormones will be better Hmm

angeltattoo · 20/06/2014 07:16

Ok ladies I am officially delurking!
I am 5+6 with DC2, my DD is 14 months old. I am 6 weeks tomorrow. Smile

My symptoms have been tiredness and needing to pee a lot, but not much else. Some very mild cramping. With DD I had terrible morning sickness, was sick everyday until 23 weeks. So the lack of MS is worrying me! Ha, remind me of that in two weeks when my head is living down the toilet!

We conceived quite quickly, so I'm feeling very lucky. Unfortunately a few friends have MCed recently so I'm just hoping, praying, wishing everything goes well with this one.

Sorry I'm on my phone so can't namecheck, but with DD I had some red blood and a clot at 6 weeks, she was fine. Early bleeding is common. I remember the feeling though. Hoping you have no more blood and can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Mrsm14 · 20/06/2014 07:45

Thanks for the messages ladies. Unfortunately I started to get a lot of pain and bleeding and had to go to hosptital and we have lost our little one. Had to have a general anaesthetic for a

Mrsm14 · 20/06/2014 07:48

Sorry. A smm procedure so all in a horrible 24 hours. I wanted to say thanks for the support and I wish you all the best for happy healthy babies. Fingers crossed we can still have a little healthy bean of our own in the future xx

Memphisbelly · 20/06/2014 08:26

Mrsm14 I am so sorry to read this Sad

Mimosa1 · 20/06/2014 08:28

I'm so sorry too, mrsm :-(

blankfornames · 20/06/2014 08:38

Mrsm14. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad you got good treatment where you are. There's an amazing thread on here that I got lots of support from when I had my mc. Hope you're ok.

I woke up to some blood on my underwear (sorry tmi before breakfast) this morning. My doc has advised me to have a progesterone shot, has anyone had this before in early pregnancy?

bellaboo88 · 20/06/2014 08:58
