Hey mimosa, so sorry to hear you are still have a tough time of it. :-( mine is less constant now, but evenings and mornings still a bit of a struggle. Tried 'eating through it' yesterday. Had 4 x peanut butter sandwiches, 8 x crackers, 1 x bowl of cereal, 1 x apple, 1 x banana, 1 x bunch of grapes, 2 x garlic bread half baguettes 1 x packet dried fruit, 1 x packet raisins, 1 x packet almonds, 1 x packet crisps, 1 x appletiser, 1 x coke, 2 x orange juice, 2 x biscuits. Felt like I was going to explode! But, oddly, I did feel a bit better. Just not sure what my colleagues think of my eating non stop all day! And not sure I can keep it up every day!

Lawyer - thinking of you. X

mrshjb · 17/06/2014 21:41

Proudly that's a hell of a feast!! I've had days where I've felt so sick I've had to eat loads to get through it. Like you say it does kind of work but you feel a different kind of rubbish afterwards!

Has anyone else found days when their symptoms have been different?! I've been the usual bloated and tired today but less sick and boobs haven't hurt as much. Obviously I should be happy about this, but I just find myself worrying!!

donkir · 17/06/2014 22:16

My only symptom that comes and goes is the cramps. I worry when I have them and worry when I don't. I can't win.
I had my first major pregnancy melt down tonight. Shouting, crying and just angry in general. All because the OH didn't fold the clothes properly (the way I do it) when he was so kindly doing ironing. Feel guilty now as he's sleeping on sofa tonight as his hay fever has kept me awake for a week. Hopefully I'll wake bright eyed and bushy tailed!

Mrsm14 · 17/06/2014 23:12

Mine change all the time. Today had a pain that was a bit like stitch. And yep, worry every time I feel something new, then worry when it goes again!

blankfornames · 18/06/2014 06:36

Mrshjb, mine definitely change. My sore boobs are back with a bang this morning whereas last night I was incredibly bloated. Not feeling sick but get very dizzy still! I'm hoping to put off the sickness for as long as I can...hard to disguise being pregnant when you're very nauseous!

JacktheLab · 18/06/2014 07:00

Me too, bloating has gone, my boobs are still big but not much morning sickness.

I can't wait until we have our first scan and especially when I can feel the baby moving around, so at least it feels like there is something actually going on!

Melting in this heat though and I'm in Perthshire so nothing like anyone in the south east is getting!

bellaboo88 · 18/06/2014 08:08

Ladies, has anyone lost any weight?

I'm around 5w4/6w3(LMP) & I'm normally a steady 9s/9st2... I never see below nine stone ever.

No ms, just on/off boulder boobs! Xx

mrshjb · 18/06/2014 08:13

Nope. I'm piling it on! But I have read other women who do, largely down to food aversions and nausea! Have you been eating less?

Memphisbelly · 18/06/2014 08:19

I have lost a couple of pounds, I did first time round too. My friend is 15 weeks and has put on 1.5 stone due to eating through her nausea, I can barely eat at all.
My symptoms change, felt no sickness over weekend then yesterday and today it is back, I had a total meltdown last night over feeling so rotten saying I can't cope. It is ok people saying it is 'only' likely to last another 4 weeks but another 4 days is enough to tip me over the edge. Already told mum I won't be able to work tomorrow if I feel like this. Losing pay is all I need.

donkir · 18/06/2014 09:24

Bellaboo88 I have also lost a few pounds even though I'm so bloated that someone guessed I was pregnant yesterday. She was shocked to find out I was only 6 weeks. My boobs go through stages of being massive. Today's a good day I can fit in my bra. Although as soon as I get in from work the first thing I do is put my jimmys on. Bliss I can then let it all go.

Mrsm14 · 18/06/2014 13:29

I've lost 2 pounds as well. I have a question - bit Tmi - but has anyone else had dark brown discharge? I only had a tiny bit today but it has freaked me out a bit. Roughly 8 weeks today and fly off for a holiday on an island with no proper medical facilities tomorrow, so now feeling all anxious in case something is wrong Sad

JacktheLab · 18/06/2014 15:23

Mrsm I had that twice in my first pregnancy, nothing to worry about it's probably old blood. You mostly need to worry if you have fresh red blood and/or pain.

Mrsm14 · 18/06/2014 16:04

Thanks jack - I'm a worrier by nature so all this is really testing me! x

FinickityCoder · 18/06/2014 17:38

Hello and welcome newbies Smile

Thinking of you Lawyer

I've been absent for the last few days because I'm struggling quite a bit with anxiety about this pregnancy atm. I swing between being sure things will be fine, after all I have no reason to think otherwise, and utterly convinced I'm going to have another mmc. Lack of symptoms isn't really helping. That said, I've given myself a good talking to today. What will be, will be and tying myself up in knots about something that I have no control over won't stop it happening if it's going to. I'm going to make a real effort to relax (that includes no more POAS, I counted up earlier and I've done 35 tests Blush Blush Blush ) and just enjoy the fact that, for today at least, I am pregnant.

Hope the sickness eases up soon for those who are suffering Smile

Memphisbelly · 18/06/2014 19:18

Finickitycoder please be reassured I had no real symptoms with ds, and our cousin didn't even know she was pg until 6 months, your symptoms will come soon enough, hopefully that symptom will be blooming and having great hair and skin and a lovely neat bump Smile.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 18/06/2014 19:58

Finikity 35 tests! I think you might be pregnant Wink

I had more symptoms in week 4 than I do now, now I only know at the end of the day my stomach feels tight, I think that's because of my job it makes me stressed and tired! Oh and I am hungry and peeing all the time and it hurts to breathe in...but otherwise all good! :)

I unfortunately have put on 3 pounds in two weeks but I look like Ive put on loads because of bloating, am having to undo my trousers for work!

scummy2b · 18/06/2014 22:11

Hello!

I'm somewhat late to the party but I'd love to join. We had started taking a more relaxed approach to contraception in the past few months but as I have huge issues with my periods and we weren't ttc until next January, the bfp yesterday was more than a bit of a shock! (in a good way) In hindsight there were some symptoms such as being so so tired the whole time, but my boobs get sore before every period so I didn't think anything of it until I was 16 days late Blush Not being able to stomach a glass of wine was definitely my body finally telling me something was up!

I'm in the US so the system is very different and also quite confusing so far. I'm moving to a new Ob Gyn and have been booked in for an ultrasound and 1st check up with the Dr next Monday. It all seems to move very quickly but I'm pleased as one thing in particular that bothers me is that I hadn't been taking any pre natal vitamins and hopefully she'll be able to put my mind at rest.

I hope those of you not feeling so well have a better evening/night. Are we allowed to just sleep for the next few weeks?

Ooh my details:

Scummy2b, aged 31, Due date: around the 8th Feb although my periods are pretty irregular so hopefully we'll have more of an idea on Monday, 1st baby.

bellaboo88 · 18/06/2014 22:41

Mrsm I started with brown spotting today with a dot of red, went to docs n referred to epu for a scan tomorrow. Tbh I lost my head, thought it was all over but it seems its very commmon,. Just look out for pain/shoulder pain & red blood. I'll let u know how I get on.

A lot of ladies on the penis dragon thread(I was on the busses) have had it too x

BettyBluebell · 18/06/2014 23:22

Hi could I join this thread? I have been lurking and wondering if I should wait for a March thread. I am only 5+2 had a BFP last week which would make my edd February 18th. I'm feeling very strung out and really old! I have 3 daughters who are 19, 17, and 15, so I basically gave birth in the last century!! With my DDs (trying to get the jargon right sorry I'm a newbie) I was young and carefree and didn't worry much with my older girls. I checked in with the doctor at about 2/3 months (no hpts that I remember), had one scan with each at 16 weeks, didn't get offered to know the sex or anything, all normal births. I am now 39 and my DH is 52. We decided to stop using contraception and see what happened, that was 4 months ago. I can't believe I'm pregnant, and I'm so worried that my chances of mc are high because of my age and my DHs age. It feels like agony to even think about getting through the next week let alone getting to 12 weeks?! I'm bloated, spotty, knackered and emotional. The whole world of parenthood feels very different and theres so much information, but for me that seems to translate as a lot more to worry about

AddictedToRadley · 19/06/2014 02:35

Am I too late to join or is there still space? I have my first scan tomorrow (today really looking at the time! Lol). I'm having an early scan as we've been ttc for 5 years and have had a total of 13mc's :'( I've got a good feeling about this one though and can't believe how different I feel to when I was pregnant with DS aged 5.7! With DS I had no symptoms to speak of and the easiest pregnancy going - heck I actually LOST weight! Lol And it wasn't from morning sickness as I had none (lucky me!).
This time I have every symptom going, my boobs have gone up FOUR cup sizes already, I've got all-day sickness, the most hideous acid reflux known to man, a runny tickly nose, constant sneezing, sense of smell is unbelievably acute, very tired (I could sleep standing up!), headaches, a thirst I cannot quench, food tastes have changed so much that I no longer recognise good and often think it's 'off'....crikey I could go on & on but I'm not moaning! Gosh after all this time and heartache I'd be ungrateful to moan and I'm feeling so blessed. I just have a 'feeling' that all will be ok this time but I'm not taking any chances. I'm resting and not doing anything strenuous at all. I'm actually registered disabled and have stopped all my meds that 'may' have harmed baby. I just can't risk it.

Sorry for the long post but I'm just so excited. We've known since 2 weeks last Monday and have already had to tell people as I'm showing and can't hide it! Lol I did show early with DS but this is something else. I keep getting asked how many I'm having...I'd be over the moon with any number of babies but please God no more than 4! Lol That'd be stretching it hahaha
Anyway I'm sending loads and loads of sticky baby dust to all you ladies. I hope we all have smooth, happy and healthy pregnancies. Here's to our February babes.... :D

PS I'm like a newbie again. I gave up MN 3 years ago as I found it hard after ttc for 2 years and dying the group for support so it's great to be back - sorry if I make any mistakes (like this super long post!) lol

JacktheLab · 19/06/2014 06:04

Good morning and hello to all the new guys ;)

donkir · 19/06/2014 14:03

Have any of you lovely ladies had more twinges and minimal spotting after intercourse? Sorry for tmi. I know it's all probably normal and if someone else had asked the same question I know if be telling them it's all fine. It's completely different when it's happening to you though isn't it? I have 1st mw app tomorrow who'll hopefully reassure me.

JacktheLab · 19/06/2014 14:08

Donkir I did in my last pregnancy, I wrote it down in my diary which I am really grateful for now, light pink blood after sex the night before, I was ten weeks, but everything will be fine I'm sure it will.

I'm out in the car working today and had to have a half an hour nap Shock bloody tired seems to be my only real symptom at the moment! Brew Anyone? Decaf isn't really cutting it at the moment though!

donkir · 19/06/2014 14:22

Jackthelab thanks for the quick response. I'd love a nap but my job as a nanny isn't really accommodating me. Early night for me.

jenmcspen · 19/06/2014 15:19

Having a duvet day as just can't seem to keep anything down Sad

Seeing the midwife for first appointment on mon, is it worth taking DP with me? could get his family health history better from his mum before hand tbh! Grin
