JacktheLab · 15/06/2014 16:21

I just had to take a nap!!!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 15/06/2014 17:25

Thanks for the stats! This will (touchwood) be DC #1!

I think I'm a couple of weeks behind some of you so reading your symptoms makes me nervous Wink
I have though had really bad hay fever this weekend and read I can't take tablets for it! I wonder if there is something organic?!

SpandexBallet · 15/06/2014 17:35

littlemiss I get terrible allergies and take antihistamines all year round.
I've been told that I can carry on taking chlorphenamine (sp?) but not ceririzine or loratadine.

In terms of natural ways to combat it, you can try eating natural honey or drinking it with got water. If you use local made honey it's more likely to incorporate pollen from your local area and should help build up a tolerance but it may take a while.
This maybe a total myth but it always works for my DP who hates taking tablets or anything.

Memphisbelly · 15/06/2014 18:31

Jackthelab 2 hour nap here too! I cooked a chicken dinner and just felt too tired to eat!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 15/06/2014 19:48

Thanks Spandex I will look into it!!

From when have people started feeling sick?

thingsarelookingup · 15/06/2014 19:52

Hi all can I join? I've been lurking since before I got my BFP (sad I know) but I am now 4+3 I think so I actually belong here! Woohoo! I will also add myself to the stats list shortly. Thanks for starting jack.

I'm really hoping I'll get an early scan again because my cycles are 2 months long so based on my lmp I'm much further along than I really am. Long cycles are rubbish when ttc so there at least has to be a benefit now I'm finally upduffed!

SpandexBallet · 15/06/2014 20:00

I was feeling sick from about 4.5 weeks.
At the moment I'm really struggling with stomach cramps. Before I got pg I've suffered with endometriosis pretty badly and the cramps feel like that. Is anyone else getting cramping?

Mrsm14 · 15/06/2014 20:13

I had cramps from 4-6 weeks roughly that felt like period pains. Now 7-8 weeks and they're all gone.

Surf25 · 15/06/2014 20:37

Hello, can I join in? Bfp yesterday and surprised my dh for Father's Day with the result this morning, this will be dc#3. Early days for us, seems quite a few on here are further on, but would like to join in for the journey if I can? I have a longish cycle so think might be due around mid February. Excited! Not much in the way of symptoms yet..

SpandexBallet · 15/06/2014 20:46

Welcome thingsarelookingup and surf25

PeppermintInfusion · 15/06/2014 21:11

Got my bfp today Shock still in shock as first month ttc... By the mn calculator I'll be due end of feb!

GeekyHybrid · 15/06/2014 21:31

Hi newbies, congrats and welcome. For me the morning sickness started at week 5, I'm only 6 weeks now and boy has it been a long week! I was thinking that a few of us (especially me) seem to be doing quite a bit of moaning about symptoms but as my OH just reminded me - it will all be worth it in the end. He did also receive an elbow in the ribs, just because ;-D

GeekyHybrid · 15/06/2014 21:33

PS - morning sickness is not an accurate description. Every waking hour sickness is more like it. Sorry for moaning, again.

blankfornames · 15/06/2014 22:36

Hi congrats to all! What a lovely bus this finally is! Just found out on Friday so feeling nervous but quietly excited! Had a mc in April so hope this bean stays sticky for 8 more months!

blankfornames · 15/06/2014 22:42

Sorry, forgot to add..am 35, pregnant with #1 on 19th Feb. Reading through some scary symptoms! Been ok so far..here's hoping it lasts!

MrsCK · 16/06/2014 07:36

Hi all. Sorry haven't been around much of late. have my scan booked for 2nd July which I'm very excited and nervous about! I've put on so much weight...7 lbs so far. so I'm going to get back exercising and now my nausea is better hopefully I can eat some proper foods rather than just the quick carby fatty foods I've been wanting!

donkir · 16/06/2014 09:50

Is anyone currently pregnant or has had a child following treatment for pre cancer cells? I read at the weekend it can cause a shorter cervix and can cause complications. I'm now really worried as I had 2 lots of treatment 7 yrs ago. Advice welcome.

JacktheLab · 16/06/2014 10:16

Donkir, I know nothing about this, bit didn't want to leave you unanswered. Have you had your booking in appointment yet? I would call your midwife or maybe your oncologist (right specialism?) for advice. Please don't worry!

donkir · 16/06/2014 10:38

Jackthelab l have my first midwife appointment on Friday so hopefully she'll be able to answer my worries.

MrsMogginsMinge · 16/06/2014 10:42

Can I join in? Then I'll go back and read the PPs to see what's in store for me...

I'm 33yo (34 next week - erk) and this will be DC#1. Got a definite faint line on FRER at 10dpo but have confirmed today with a digital doodah so DH is finally convinced and I feel ready to hop on a bus. EDD 24/2 based on LMP but that will probably get pushed back as I lay my eggs late. No real symptoms yet, unsurpringly. Feel a bit like I'm coming down with a cold. Might just be coming down with a cold.

Memphisbelly · 16/06/2014 10:44

donkir hopefully mw will put your mind at ease. my ex sil had pre cancer cell treatment and had 2 chidren with no problems.

Mimosa1 · 16/06/2014 14:50

memphis belly good luck with the scan today! And thanks for the kind words - am feeling much better since getting medication.

littlemiss I started feeling sick around week 5 but some people on here (geeky, made and I for starters) seem to having it a bit worse. I think everyone is different.

Welcome, surf, things, peppermint, blank and mrsmoggins!

CK how lovely that you've got the scan coming up.

Have a great week ladies xx

mrshjb · 16/06/2014 15:36

Hey everyone. Had my first midwife appointment today, they did half in the children's centre and the other half will be at a home visit on Thursday. Thinking they're just coming for a nosey really! Exciting bit is that she booked my scan whilst I was there and it'll be when I think I am 11 weeks! Told her I have longer cycles but they just go off lmp. Nice bonus to have my scan sooner. Only three weeks to go :)

donkir my sister had some potentially pre cancerous cells removed and then she went on to deliver at 27 weeks. After the birth of the baby she did a lot of research in to what might have caused it and that seems to be the only possible explanation for her- she's otherwise a very healthy person. She had an infection and that caused the early labour. Apparently the treatment can weaken your cervix. It's definitely worth discussing with the midwife because she felt a bit let down by it not having been picked up at any point. On the plus side the baby was absolutely fine, albeit after a few month stint in a neonatal unit. Obviously I'm sure there are plenty of people that have absolutely no problems whatsoever but I'd definitely mention it.

Welcome to the newbies and exciting that scans are starting to happen!!!

lawyeredout82 · 16/06/2014 16:15

Hi ladies - I am sadly potentially going to have to drop off the thread. I had some severe cramping on Saturday night (no bleeding) and, to cut a long story short, had a scan this morning at the EPU. The scan showed a gestational sac of 6w5d (15mm) but no yolk sac or embryo. So the advice was that I will more than likely miscarry this week but need to go back for a second scan next week anyway. Will keep everyone posted.

Memphisbelly · 16/06/2014 17:02

Oh lawyer, I have my fingers crossed for you Sad

Had my scan today as I have a tilted womb it was internal, saw a heartbeat, they also detected a small bleed which may appear or disperse, not attatched to sac or anything and also detected fluid in my pelvis which must be a reason I feel so bloated. She said nothing to worry about and very pleasing results
