SO flippin glad it the weekend and I get a lie in tomorrow. Hope you all get some respite from the morning sickness. I'm watching husband and parents get stuck into celebratory sparkly while I try and drink a pre mixed zero alcohol bellini (don't bother, they're rubbish!)

Memphisbelly · 13/06/2014 20:35

I am at a wedding tomorrow, how do you get out of the not drinking? The beers will be flowing all day and I am dreading someone noticing, I set the seed of illness on fb saying oh I hope I am not still feeling ill on the weekend or it will be a tame one for me....hoping that covers it

JacktheLab · 13/06/2014 21:14

Designated driver?

Accept a drink and then leave it somewhere without drinking it?

JacktheLab · 13/06/2014 21:33

I want to go to bed :(

I'm waiting for my ginger bread to finish cooking and then that's where I'm headed - hurrah!

Any second timers around? I'm so bloated I'm in maternity clothes already! Please tell me it's not just me?!?!

Oh and I almost fell asleep at work today, I closed my eyes for a minute and had to make myself wake up or there was a very great chance that I was going to end up snoring!!!

donkir · 13/06/2014 21:55

Jackthelab I'm a 2nd timer ds is 12. What's with the bloatedness I definitely don't remember that 1st time round. I'm so uncomfortable in my jeans I'm having to wear dresses which are so not me.

Memphisbelly · 13/06/2014 22:02

Also a 2nd timer with a huge bloated belly, my neighbour knows I am pg and she was tiny through hers and commented that I a, going to be massive Hmm

We are all travelling together so no driving excuse, think dh withh pass me a few drinks and make out it has booze in and then say I am not getting drunk as being fathers days I wantvto be on the ball to cook a nice dinner etc.

mrshjb · 14/06/2014 07:07

I'm a first timer and I'm so bloated nothing fits me. Can't wait for my scan so I can tell work and don't have to worry about trying to hide it all the time!

donkir · 14/06/2014 07:14

Anyone else got rages yet? Other half was snoring so much last night it was either sleep in sons room (he's with his dad for weekend) or stick a pillow over his head. I was seriously considering the pillow Wink

tonightsthekindofnight · 14/06/2014 08:12

ARGH just been sick in the bin under my desk at work. Feeling so rotten, no idea how I can keep hiding it!

I have a scan a week on wed as I am unsure of dates. All being well with that I think I might tell my boss.

GeekyHybrid · 14/06/2014 10:12

Don't worry Donkir, I think the combination of hormones, nausea, general tiredness and a bit of stress thrown in for good measure means I almost killed around 7 people the other day! Felt like I had steam coming out my ears like in the cartoons O:-) Hopefully it will calm down before too long, and before someone HAS to die!!;-)

Mrsm14 · 14/06/2014 10:17

For everyone feeling bloated - I found a brilliant stripey dress in gap that sort of wraps over loosely. Mega comfy and totally hides any bloat. It's quite casual but I can just about get away with it for work. Think it also comes in black and grey x

LittleMissSunshine33 · 14/06/2014 10:41

I have ordered some tops and trousers from next I'm living in maxi dresses at the moment only thing that hides the bloat! I used to love my sucking in knickers can't wait to have a big belly which I'm 'meant' to have!

Supposed to be going to the pub to watch the football tonight ... Don't know how long I will last! Zzzz

Memphisbelly · 14/06/2014 12:51

Weirdly saying about hormones, before I could even test dh said I was highly strung and told me to take a pregnancy test as it was like living with a different person! He has now changed his tune and is looking after me!
Felt less sick today which is good as we are about to leave for a wedding, house is a complete tip as I haven't been up to doing anything so hoping I feel like I do today in the morning so I can clean.

Mrsm14 · 14/06/2014 13:45

Good luck with your nights out.I went to a day festival last weekend - arrivesd at 2pm and only made it through till 9!

JacktheLab · 14/06/2014 20:19

I've done my homework! I've made a new thread for the stats, added everyone new on and sadly taken off our first loss :(

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2106926-February-2015-stats-list?msgid=47675886#47675886

GeekyHybrid · 14/06/2014 21:16

Thanks Jack, can't beat a good bunch of stats! There's quite a few of us now isn't there?!

SpandexBallet · 14/06/2014 21:29

I love the stats list!! Very pleasing indeed Grin

Rowanhart · 14/06/2014 22:21

Hello all. Pregnant with my second here. Feb 9th. I've an 19month old who is very independent and bossy. Already have some sympathy for her younger sibling. Ha.

So excited by it all. Just worried about amount I drank on holiday last week!

JacktheLab · 15/06/2014 06:43

Morning all,

sad indidement of my saturday night that I spent a fair amount of it doing that list!

I also watched Atonement and cried my eyes out, the ending of that film is not good for pregnant women!!!

Welcome Rowan

Memphisbelly · 15/06/2014 09:11

Jack I nearly watched The Notebook in the week, glad I didn't I would probably still be crying now!

Well dh's best friend asked when I was due as he had noticed I wasn't drinking luckily at the time someone had bought me a malibu and coke that I was holding and made him take a sip, I usually drimk bottles when out in town and he knows I am usually a bit of a party animal, luckily He bought it, I managed until 11, I was so bloated I felt like if you popped me it would have been like a baloon going off!

ProudlymadeinSA · 15/06/2014 09:26

Jack - I was already in bed by the time you did the list!

Anyone considering medication for morning sickness - mine is working so far. At least until 6pm when it seems to wear off. Still feel weird and don't have much of an appetite, but nausea is nearly all gone. Amazing. Trying not worry too much about baby coming out with 3 legs or 2 heads!

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 09:41

Proudly what meds are you taking for MS? Mine is awful in the evenings, it's disrupting my sleep quite a lot :/

Mrsm14 · 15/06/2014 10:04

Thanks for the stats!

Mimosa1 · 15/06/2014 11:23

Hi ladies,
Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I was feeling so lousy, I was basically either sleeping, being sick, or thinking about one of the 2. The nausea has been relentless so I finally went to the doc and got some tablets.
proudly I know what you mean about trying not to worry about it affecting the baby as the doc says it won't!
frenetic the medication I'm taking starts with a M-something hydrochloride. I'll have a look when I'm home and post the name as I don't recall off the top of my head. You take them when you're feeling ill and it's a relief knowing they're there, even if I'm trying to take as few as possible.
Had an internal scan yesterday and heard the heartbeat - exactly 7 weeks. It was lovely.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
Xxx Mim

Memphisbelly · 15/06/2014 15:11

Ah mimosa hope you are feeling better ASAP, lovely about the scan, I have mine tomorrow and I am increasing worried they won't find anything eventhough I have been sick as a dog, bloated and over past couple of days my boobs are pouring out of my bras.
