Mimosa1 · 07/06/2014 11:15

made I've just had the same thing as you. Had a 6 week scan and could not see the foetal pole although gestational and yolk sacs were visible. Sonographer said I could be earlier than expected and to come back in a week. Fx all well for us both
Xxx

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 11:31

Do they give you the second scan for free?

Mimosa1 · 07/06/2014 15:17

Hi mrshjb,
I think it depends where you're based. In my area you can self refer to the epu if you think there's an issue although we went private for this first scan and will for the second (sadly not for free even though first was inconclusive :-( ) I'm making some decisions about job stuff in the next couple weeks so it's worth it for me, but otherwise would just wait until booking appointment.

Had a proper night's sleep last night and still managed a 3 hr nap this afternoon. Is anyone else sleeping the weekends away ? Cannot keep my eyes open at the mo. Better getup and get cracking though. My mother is coming to visit tomorrow and flat is a tip so will be spending the rest of the afternoon tidying up.

Xx Mim

Persepolis - so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are with loved ones. We are all thinking of you.

ProudlymadeinSA · 07/06/2014 15:40

Mimosa1 - I really don't think we should worry too much. I think my dates may have been a bit out. I was comforted to read that the yolk sac doesn't appear until 5.5 weeks, so that's definitely a good sign. My gynae seemed to think the foetus was probably hiding behind the yolk sac. I finally have pretty bad nausea and am feeling much more tired than normal. Hoping these are good things. Happy napping. Hope all went well with your mum. We have some friends coming for lunch tomorrow and the thought of eating the chilli we've already pre-made makes my stomach turn a bit! Eek.

carmen87 · 07/06/2014 17:09

Hey everyone! Hope ur all well! I'm extremely tired n had my first bit of morning sickness today! I had got tomorrow off work put a holiday in but now they have said I have to go in as they expect it to be busy! So not looking forward to it x

Lydiejo · 07/06/2014 18:07

Oh perse. I'm sorry to hear that. Sending hugs your way. Hoping you are surrounded by love and support at home.

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 09:02

Hey how is everyone this morning? Anyone started with cravings yet? I can't get enough of salt and vinegar crisps mmmm mmmm mmmm!!

WarmSummerBreeze · 08/06/2014 10:14

Morning all!

Feeling a bit rotten here. Got up at 4am feeling nauseous (needed a mid sleep pee) and decided to take a tub of chopped melon back to bed to bring my blood sugar up. Ceremoniously brought it all up an hr later.

I am travelling overnight with work this week. Really dreading it. At least when I'm home I can get back in bed and whine to hubby.

Anyone else started vomiting yet? I'm due 7/8 weeks at the moment.

JacktheLab · 08/06/2014 13:38

Not feeling vommy, but I need to batch cook some chilli this afternoon, not sure I feel entirely up to it tbh!

JacktheLab · 08/06/2014 15:13

I spoke too soon, hello morning sickness in the afternoon bleurgh!

SpandexBallet · 08/06/2014 18:36

Anyone else's boobs hurting? How is it possible that my boobs are growing at such an astronomical rate!! DP is starting to accept our surprise news just because of them, although he can't come near me because they are so tender!!

I did have a coil fitted so had a scan on Friday but it was too early to see much, there was fluid but they weren't sure about yolk sac or heartbeat.
No sign of the missing coil!
I get to go back for a repeat scan this Friday to see if they can find it and hopefully there will be some progress.
Already a nervous wreck!!

Welcome to the new people :) spandex have I read that properly... you've got pregnant with the coil in and the coil is still in? Yeah my boobs have n sore for a few weeks now. Bras are getting tighter too!

Tori sorry no experience on the kidney pain front! I'd ring the doctor and let them know and see what they say!

Jack I've been feeling sick at all times of the day. Definitely not just a morning thing!!!

SpandexBallet · 08/06/2014 19:33

Well the note I had to take to my scan said
Coil in situ?!?
Pregnancy of unknown length?!?
Pregnancy of unknown numbers?!?
Pregnancy of unknown location?!?

Gave me loads of confidence. My dr was rather shocked to say the least. They can't find my coil so looks like it's gone wandering but I'm sure I would of noticed it coming out
Grin

mrshjb · 08/06/2014 19:41

Haha so basically they don't know anything at all then?! I've never had the coil but from what I've heard I'd be pretty surprised of it just dropped out without you noticing! Have you done a clear blue digi with the timescale on to try and give you a bit of an idea?!

SpandexBallet · 08/06/2014 20:03

mrs that's basically it, they have no clue. Although they laughed at the fact I've done 20 Tests to make sure I wasn't imagining things hah!!
I hadn't thought of a clear blue digi. I think I'm just quite early. I'll see how the scan looks on Friday. Hopefully all good news

Mimosa1 · 08/06/2014 21:16

Welcome spandex and tori

Sorry to hear about the morning sickness, jack. I've bought those sea-sickness bands off amazon and they seem to be helping a bit.

We told DH's family and my mother today. It was so lovely to hear their excitement. DSIL said she'd guessed because when I went to visit last weekend, I was so tired and wasn't drinking any alcohol or caffeine...
Wishing you all a great week ahead xx

LittleMissSunshine33 · 08/06/2014 21:27

Hi everyone I am cautiously popping my head in as I had a MC in March so am a little scared to say it out loud at the moment but if all goes well I will be due 14th February!!
Trying hard not to get too excited but my stomach is bloated and little tight pulls keeps happening on my right side (hope that's normal?!) My boobs hurt even if I knock them with my arm but every niggle reminds me something is happening!

Hi ladies, got my bfp yesterday. Really thrown by my edd date tho as different websites give different dates but I'm going with 13th/14th.

Feel like a fraud, im thirsty, have bum sick & 'stretching' dull ache things!

This is my first! I've recently started a new job, dernt tell them till I'm miles further along! Xx

Burmama · 09/06/2014 06:50

Morning ladies, I'm hard-core into the nauseous phase now too jack and warmsummerbreeze :( only one day of vomming though when I was really tired and stressed. Being tired definitely seems to make it loads worse. Hope everyone can get some sleep! xxx

perrinelli · 09/06/2014 13:32

Hello there, just wanted to say hello.
Still in shock really - just got bfp today, clear blue digital estimates conception 2-3 wks ago so reckon that makes me due in feb. Got massive mixed feelings! This will be dc3 and we had kind of decided to stop at 2....
Am really anxious about telling DH. He phoned earlier but didn't want to tell him over the phone so will do it later.
Am also worrying about how I'll cope as found just 1 then 2 really hard in the newborn stage. I have had an early cm before too and really don't want to go through that again.
Despite all the worries though I know it's such a blessing!

SpandexBallet · 09/06/2014 19:45

Hi perrinelli have you told your DH yet? Welcome, I'm guessing yours is surprise news too!
How are you feeling about it all?

JacktheLab · 09/06/2014 20:21

Hi guys,

hope you have all had a good weekend?

I had such a busy day today, no sickness though which is a good and a bad thing cos I start worrying, daft eh?

Hello everyone new :)

I have knitting, fruity tea and daft telly on so the dogs and I are set, plus the Boy is upstairs fast asleep after a relatively easy bedtime - hurrah!!!
