Hi there, yes told him about 10 mins ago, was so nervous! He was brilliant and v pragmatic & reassuring. I did warn him a while back that he should perhaps get that snip he's been talking about if he really didn't want a 3rd as I am pretty rubbish at remembering to take my pill. So he had been warned!

ProudlymadeinSA · 09/06/2014 20:49

Spandex - your doctor's notes made me laugh out loud. How frustrating! Hope Friday gives you some answers.

Well and truly into nauseous stage now too. Can't believe a week ago I was moaning about not having any symptoms. Now I feel like death warmed up. Luckily still keeping most food down but very cautious about what I eat and sticking to things like plain noodles. Stomach churning constantly. Not sure I can do this for another 6 weeks or more! How do people with hypermesis survive?!

Feeling very short changed also as boobs haven't grown at all and that is the one symptom I could use!

Good luck for the week ahead ladies...

ProudlymadeinSA · 09/06/2014 20:49

Perrinelli - so glad it went well!

donkir · 09/06/2014 22:17

Very excited we got the date for our first scan in post today. Not till the 29th July which just seems so far away at the moment. Even with the sore boobs (only symptom so far) it won't seem real until scan.

mrshjb · 10/06/2014 07:13

Ooh very jealous about the scan date donkir. I can't wait to get mine, won't be until after I've had my midwife appointment which is next Monday but then hopefully it should be too long after that :)

proudly my boobs are killing too. I've had to go to asda to get some soft crop top style bras because the underwire in my usual bras is not my friend at all!!

Welcome and congratulations to all the new bfps :)

bellaboo88 · 10/06/2014 07:57

Mrs & donkir, I'm (sad as it is) glad to know you've got the sore boulders/boobs too, they're agony...its all around the sides. I'm plastic fantastic so more implant than real breast tissue but they hurt everywhere!

Sleeping was a nightmare :-(

Just planning a creative way to tell my parents on fathers day...I'm thinking a cake with a little pram on the front maybe? If I can steal my mums letter cut outs I'll do 'you're going to be grandparents :-) xx

FinickityCoder · 10/06/2014 09:55

Cautiously saying hello Smile

Huge surprise BFP yesterday with an internet cheapie, confirmed this morning with a CB Digi 1-2 weeks. I was on the pill and we'd planned to start trying next April so it's come as a bit a lot of a shock! We actually only DTD once this month and that was May 31st so still very very early days here. I'm surprised I've had a BFP show up so soon tbh as it took quite a while to get a clear BFP with our son. Very excited though, despite the shock Grin

I think EDD is around 19th Feb and this will be baby number 2. We already have a 2 year old.

Pregnancy symptoms are in full swing here. Nausea (didn't have it until 6/7 weeks with DS!), boobs hurt, exhaustion and lots of cramping which I remember from last time so trying not to worry about those.

Looking forward to hopefully passing the next 8ish months with you all. Here's hoping it passes quickly and uneventfully Smile

Welcome newbies!

Well I am back from our Honeymoon! We went to Marrakesh and I had to stay away from the markets and alleys as the smell made me wretch. One day I had a Pizza hut as the smells got to me so much I couldn't stomach anything else! Thought it was me being weak stomached but I have been the same today, had no morning sickness with ds so this is all new, I am also very swollen and my mum said I have looked ill for weeks, so I am not sure how long I can keep it hidden, I don't want to tell other family until after a scan which will hopefully be in a weeks time.
Its my bestfriends birthday on the 21st so I need to tell him then as its normally a boozy affair.

Spandex In regards to the coil do you know if you have a tilted womb? All of my family do (well the women) and mum and my sisters coil both fell out. Shock

SpandexBallet · 10/06/2014 16:56

memphis it's funny you should say that because yes I do! It's retroverted, well so I was told a few years ago although I never really knew what that meant!

I'm feeling really nauseous now, spend most of the night back and forth to the loo but couldn't actually be sick! Counting down the days until the scan Friday to make sure everything is in the right place!

jdr1234 · 10/06/2014 17:04

Hi All
So I seem to be one of the lucky ones with very few symptoms still, boobs are tender and am tired and thirsty a lot but apart from that feel completely normal...def no sickness and no cravings.I know it sounds pathetic but if I had symptoms maybe it would be sinking in that im pregnant and I wouldn't be so nervous the whole time.
I am 7 weeks tomorrow and booked to have a private scan on Friday to try and hear the heartbeat, hopefully its not too early as need something to make this all feel real!
Is anyone else having very few symptoms?

GeekyHybrid · 10/06/2014 19:15

Hello all, may I join the club please?! I've been lurking for a while, nervous as hell. My EDD is 4th Feb and it will be baby #1 (touch wood). I'm 38, we were ttc over a year and a mc at 5 weeks in Jan hence the nervousness. From lurking on MN I've discovered the word menkulling which I think is very apt for how I feel but hopefully chatting to you guys will help - just reading the thread already has, and answered loads of 'silly' questions, so I already want to say thanks to you all.

Memphisbelly · 10/06/2014 19:30

Jdr123 it is very normal not to get many symptoms, I honestly don't feel pg just keep thinking the bloating etc is IBS or something or other. My boobs are normal again now also.

Geeky welcome!

I actually craved egg and marmite sandwiches on holiday but I think thats because its something I couldn't get there!

I'm the same with very few symptoms. Tender boobs and bloated tummy apart from that I wouldn't know I was 6 weeks pregnant. Feels reassuring that its not that uncommon to feel like this. Told both sets of parents today which was lovely. Now to tell work this week which is not so lovely as I do a physical/strenuous job and they need to know for my own safety.

Mrsm14 · 10/06/2014 23:03

Hi all. Doing ok here. Bit nauseous occasionally but no sickness. I have started having the odd heart flutter / palpitations though which has been freaking me out, especially since I've had panic attacks in the past. Anyone else had any palpitations? I'm 7 weeks tomorrow.

Burmama · 11/06/2014 06:20

That's interesting memphis my boobs did exactly the same thing, were quite big and sore for weeks 4 and 5 and now at week 6 they (and I) feel back to normal and my bras fit again! Anyone else have that? Bit weird, never heard it before. Also welcome geeky, congrats! :)

LittleMissSunshine33 · 11/06/2014 06:27

Jdr123 I'm the same I feel bloated and little pulling sensations which is nice as it reminds me it's there throughout the day and my boobs are sore!
Am telling my parents tonight by giving my Dad his Fathers Day card which is actually a grandad card ... This is how I gave my OH the news by giving him a lovely from the bump card.
Is anyone else finding work more stressful? I think it's because I'm worrying more but only 6 weeks til summer hols need to stay relaxed!! Grin

GeekyHybrid · 11/06/2014 06:56

Thank you for the welcome. Yes LittleM, I'm finding work more stressful, mainly because I haven't told anyone but like sophspot my job is physical/strenuous and being outdoors in this heat is not going well with the ongoing nausea. Feel bad telling my boss as he and his wife have been ttc for ages with no success but think I'm going to have to. We're a close team so dreading 'upsetting' him. Hey ho.

Memphisbelly · 11/06/2014 07:03

Burmama I think it is just a surge of hormones and after the surge they settle for a big.

I have mw tomorrow, hope doc is right and she gives me a scan date, I am worrying now that they will scan and say its all in my imagination

mrshjb · 11/06/2014 07:08

Hey everyone. I'm seven weeks today and I have the a lot of symptoms. A lot of nausea but no sickness thankfully!

I've had palpations when doing stuff as well. Happened to my sister and the doctor just said it's because your heart is working so much faster and nothing to worry about so I'm going with that too!

Interested to hear what you see at a 7 week scan. I've wanted to go for one but dh thinks it's a waste of money!

Congratulations to newbies :)

mrshjb · 11/06/2014 07:10

Just seen the last messages. I'm finding work not knowing hard too. It'll be good when they can make slight allowances for me. And I'm also worried about being scanned and me having dreamt it all!!!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 11/06/2014 07:15

Greek if they've been ttc I think they are more likely to understand. I think I will wait until the week before we break up for Summer to tell my boss but I may tell the ladies I work closely with after a few weeks as they no I was ttc.
Memphis how many weeks are you? My MW won't see me for a couple of weeks but I'm only 5 weeks Blush

mrshjb · 11/06/2014 07:27

The midwives here won't see you until your 8 weeks so my first appointment is next week!

Mrsm14 · 11/06/2014 07:27

I'm def finding it hard at work. Feel much more tired and I work in quite a sociable place, so they're constantly trying to arrange after work stuff. I'm normally the first to say yes and feel like I'm running out of excuses! On holiday from next week and, all being well, ten weeks on return. Think I might get private scan so I can tell people, as we might not get one till 14 weeks on nhs.

Telling our parents on Friday and have told my sister and best mate too.

Mrsm14 · 11/06/2014 07:50

Oh also - feel really bloated but got on the scales today and have lost two pounds in the last fortnight. Trying to eat plenty and actually feeling a bit upset I've lost weight! Hoping it's just because I've cut out booze and morning latte and I won't lose anymore. So ironic, given a few weeks ago I wanted to lose a few pounds before this holiday!
