So many of us on here now! Has anyone else had a sharp pain in their right ribcage?! I've been getting it every now and then for past couple of days. Period cramps have gone but feeling sort of tightness around abs now too.

misstiggiwinkle · 05/06/2014 17:29

Hi all! Can I join? I think I'm due on about the 6th Feb... Pretty excited!

MrsB37 · 05/06/2014 20:31

Hi, sorry I'm a bit late to join the party. I'm due either late Jan or early Feb 2015. It's my first baby and is the result of a frozen embryo transfer after 8 years of trying so is extremely precious. I had my first scan this week. They saw the yoke sac & embryo with a strong heartbeat (amazing)
But they also found I'd had a small internal bleed near where the embryo is implanted. They said not to worry too much but I can't help it. Has anyone else experienced this?

CursiveLetters · 05/06/2014 20:48

MrsB37 wow, must feel amazing after 8 years! huge congrats :)

carmen87 · 05/06/2014 21:10

Mrsb37 my last pregnancy I had a small internal bleed they said it was nothing to worry about.

I worry about everything I'm terrible!

Mrsm14 · 05/06/2014 23:06

Oh god so should not Google things. Just googled shoulder pain and it comes up with ectopic pregnancy. Got myself all worried now.

Welcome to the newbies. What an exciting and nervewracking time.

The nausea I had has died down quite a lot now. I’m hoping it means I will get away without having sickness this time but only 5+3 so too early to tell. I have enquired about an early scan at 9/10 weeks and am waiting to hear back about availability. Don’t want it too early for the reasons mentioned, however tempting it is.

All being well we will need a double pushchair when baby arrives. Can’t believe how expensive they are. DP has a small number of shares in the company he works for which are worth a few hundred pounds. He has asked me to sell them and put the money towards the pushchair so I’ve done that today. It will be one of our only purchases as we still have everything we bought for DS. If it’s a girl we would buy new clothes obviously but she would have to make do with a blue bath Grin

It feels like I’m tempting fate by even thinking about these kind of things but I’m so excited. I wish this month would hurry up and be over. Once I’ve had a scan and been told everything is ok I will be ‘allowed’ to start making plans.

mrsm stay away from google!

FlightofFancy · 06/06/2014 14:16

Hi all,
I'll join you as I got a BFP this week, with a due date of somewhere around 8 Feb or thereabouts. It's my second - I've got a DS who is 4 1/2, so will be 5 by the time the new one is here (all being well, cross fingers etc). It's an intentional big gap to cope with childcare costs and work etc - as I'm a full time work-out-of-home mum.
I'm about 5 and a bit weeks I think - not too focused on due date as DS was 3 weeks early. Generally feeling OK - a bit rough round the edges though. I'm getting indigestion - lots of burping going on - and occasionally feeling faintly queasy. I'm feeling really bloated as well so have had to undo the belt a notch! Quite tired, but not sleeping very well. It's a bit different, as I didn't really get any symptoms at all with DS.
We're not telling anyone until we're safely past the 12 week scan and bloods. I must admit I've not bothered calling the Dr's yet - as it'll just be a booking in appointment with the midwife at 9-10 weeks, so will give it another couple of weeks to be sure it's staying put!
Apologies now if I dip in and out of conversation, I'm not online every day, but will try and keep up with all your good news and add anything I can from previous experience!

Mrsm14 · 06/06/2014 15:27

persepolis I know! Called gp as I was vomiting last night so seeing him later. Fingers crossed it's all fine. We were considering a scan at 7 or 8 weeks - is 9 a better time then? Spoke to Midwife clinic on the phone, as they won't get me in till 11 weeks, and they said I might not get a scan till 14 weeks - don't think I can wait that long! Service around here seems really delayed compared to other places.

Congrats new joiners!

persepolis123 · 06/06/2014 16:31

I’m bleeding. Have called the midwife and waiting for a call back Sad

mrshjb · 06/06/2014 16:47

Hope everything is ok Persepolis Thanks

persepolis123 · 06/06/2014 16:59

I've got a scan on monday afternoon. Going to be a long weekend.

freneticfox · 06/06/2014 17:04

Got my first BFP this morning, still can't believe it! All the online calculators put me as Due 12th Feb, so I guess I can pop in here...?

mrshjb · 06/06/2014 17:09

It must be so hard, but I've heard of plenty of people who bleed and everything is absolutely fine, so hopefully that's the case for you too.

JacktheLab · 06/06/2014 17:44

Perse, hugs from me, I've also heard loads of stories of people bleeding and the baby being fine, so I'm sure it'll be the same for you :)

Well, I took the day off to go to the doctors and then she said, oh no, you have to see the midwife now - arghhhhh! Waste of a days annual leave and I will have to take more leave off at the end of the month too. Had a niceish day with my husband though pottering around town together so it wasnt't too annoying :)

Five weeks tomorrow, time is going by very very slowly!

persepolis123 · 06/06/2014 19:10

Thanks everyone. It's only small amounts of blood so I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse over the weekend. Have been told to go to a&e if it does. I don't want to ruin the thread for anyone else so will probably be quiet until Monday. Will let you know how it goes.

tonightsthekindofnight · 06/06/2014 20:06

I bled with both my pregnancies, fairly heavily with the first and fortunately both occasions, it was fine. I know it's easier said than done but please try not to worry too much.

Mrsm14 · 06/06/2014 22:36

persepolis hope everything is ok

persepolis123 · 07/06/2014 01:10

Looks like I've miscarried. Have been to a&e and my urine test came back negative. Blood test showed my hormone levels are almost back to normal. The doctor said that's probably why I've felt so ill the last few days.

I will bow out of the thread now but wish you all healthy pregnancies and babies. Take care of yourselves.

mrshjb · 07/06/2014 06:49

I'm so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself Thanks

JacktheLab · 07/06/2014 07:17

Aw ww perse, sad news, be kind to yourself x

Mimosa1 · 07/06/2014 08:12

persepolis I'm so sorry to hear it. I hope you have lots of support in RL. I am thinking of you and sending you all good wishes.

DH and I are going for our first scan this morning at 6w. We want some reassurance before telling our parents and siblings. I've also been offered a new job and deciding what to tell them if/before I accept the offer. I'm pretty nervous.

Xx Mimosa

tonightsthekindofnight · 07/06/2014 08:16
