I'm in the effing taxi now. The driver is a joke! Dh -bless him- rung the company's office and screamed at them so now at least this trip is free...I'd have rather paid the 10 quid and gotten home an hour ago!!AAAARGGH!

At least dd is providing entertainment by repeating the sat nav's every instruction, much to the driver's annoyance. Mwahahahaha!!

MademoiselleG · 29/05/2014 20:20

(Noises complete with beep beep and deelong-deelong! I

RetroHippy · 29/05/2014 20:28

Yep. And what wasn't in the loft was in the spare room. It's all mine though Blush

A large amount of stuff has been there since we moved in and is shite from my childhood. I therefore have boxes marked 'Letters and stuff', 'Photos and video cassettes' and several just 'books'.

Desperately needs sifting through and binning but now is not the time. Do feel guilty for the poor blokes who have to lump it down our stairs then up another two flights at the new place. But we are buying them beer and takeaway.

MademoiselleG · 29/05/2014 21:14

Holy crap, that's a lot for one loft! Just wait til you have a baby though...it gets to an absolutely ridiculous stage where you almost feel you're crashing their house!
Good luck with the move - it's so stressful!

I'm home. Finally. What an epic journey back!! Dd is a legend though for being much better behaved then me all along. I also got home to my favourite dinner and a spotless, tidy house (I know the cleaner prob got am emergency call, but I don't care!)...I could really do with a bucket of wine right now!

MademoiselleG · 29/05/2014 21:14

Hi ladies, hope you're all well. Its amazing how much crap we accumulate. I'm ruthless though and not particularly sentimental. I chuck everything!!

So work was a brilliant distraction. Was just covering reception so not hard work. One.Day.At.A.Time....

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 21:22

I need to know what the favourite dinner is Mademoiselle- mainly because all I think about is food.

DH went and got me the olives but all little Tesco had were the jars so I've pimped my olives up with chilli and garlic and it might be the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Retro has your new house got a big loft? If so, shove it all in there and just get it out when you move house again!

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 21:22

Glad that work wasn't bad English! How are you generally feeling now?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 29/05/2014 21:35

Thanks Fancy , generally feeling a little more positive. But it's hard. Boobs are sore again though....Bonus!!

MademoiselleG · 29/05/2014 21:35

Fancy: grilled strips of chicken marinated in Cajun spices (the ready made mix from the spice aisle) tossed over herb salad with balsamic dressing with lots of crusty bread. YUM!!!

I'd totally forgotten we are painting the built in wardrobes (selective memory anyone?) and bedroom is utter chaos. Now having a relaxing bath before walking into bed with eyes closed so I can ignore the ness!

english glad work went well and distracted you! One day at a time indeed. Now treat yourself!

Treaclepie19 · 29/05/2014 21:43

That sounds yummy mademoiselle!
I've persuaded DH that because we have longer before baby arrives we can art the house. We're getting a new bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, coffee table, bookcase and TV cabinet. We also need an extra sofa. Am I pushing it? :p

MademoiselleG · 29/05/2014 21:48

Good for you Treacle !! Definitely not pushing it. Make sure you count in all the soft furnishings too!

RetroHippy · 29/05/2014 21:55

The new loft is converted to a room. So it has some storage in the eaves, but not that much! It does have a cellar though...

Treaclepie19 · 29/05/2014 21:57

Haha, apart from we are meant to be paying off the wedding. That was in august!!!

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 22:09

Sod the wedding! BUY NEW SHIT!

Treaclepie19 · 29/05/2014 22:10

Hehe i like you thinking!!!

Treaclepie19 · 29/05/2014 22:16

*You're (I have had wine...)

Treaclepie19 · 29/05/2014 22:16

*Your! Damn auto correct!!!

RetroHippy · 29/05/2014 22:39

Tears before bedtime Sad cannot wait till this is over. Moving house sucks.

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 22:44

It really does. On the plus side though - takeaways ! And on the plusser side - it will be done now which is a hell of a lot better than any later on down the line, particularly if nausea sets in (took me until 7-8 weeks but it's definitely here!). And before bump stops any movement. And just think - once you're in you're in and it's all uphill from there so this really is the worst if it.

RetroHippy · 29/05/2014 22:55

I know, but there's just so much to doooooo

We're getting takeout for the helpers too. Which means that the one close friend of DH's who knows we are ttc will guess as soon as I don't have a beer. DH and I are both in agreement that rather than go for any elaborate cover-up we will just tell him and his g/f. Which is actually pretty exciting too Grin

spinningirl10 · 30/05/2014 07:06

Retro, good luck with the move. Just sit back and organise everyone, don't be tempted do too much. I had forgotten how hard moving house is!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 30/05/2014 07:11

Good luck with the move Retro!! Hope it's not too stressful. Just think, this is the house you will be welcoming your little dragon in to!! Smile
You could also get some non-alcoholic beer to disguise the non-drinking. That's what i've been doing and then pouring it into a glass so people are none the wiser. Equally, telling them is fun! I've got to the point now that I don't actually want to tell anyone!!

fancyacupoftea · 30/05/2014 08:23

I don't like telling people English! Too much pressure. I get really sweaty and nervous beforehand.
GOOD LUCK RETRO! It will be fiiiine, I can feel it in my bladder waters. If we see you on here shall we tell you to bugger off?

lindamagoo · 30/05/2014 08:30

Is it moving day today Retro? Good luck if it is and I hope it all goes smoothly Smile
