I know it's not bad news. But 3 weeks is such a long time. It's going to drag!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 22/05/2014 11:11

Thank you ladies.

RetroHippy · 22/05/2014 11:25

But they have seen a sac, which is promising. I don't know how the dating works, do they go from the moment sperm meets egg or from implantation? I suppose if it's implantation it can vary between 6-12 dpo? So that's a big difference if you did implant late. Sorry, not much help, but we'll be here to handhold through that three weeks.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 22/05/2014 11:51

It makes sense that a bean that implanted at 6dpo would be bigger than one that implanted at 12dpo which I think I did.
Must. Stay. Positive

Welli pulled myself together and called the hospital again this morning got a lovely woman this time who was horrified I hasn't received letter and doubly so that there wasn't one on the system. She's going to get me a slot before my "holiday" on 7th June and call me back with it later. So much better than last week.

I think I implanted at about 10dpo so I'm expecting to be pushed back a few days too.

DH just cheered me up with a text saying "well done! 25% of the way to baby". 10wks today!

Poly it makes all the difference when you get someone nice and caring on the other end of the phone and I'm glad it's get sorted now. How sweet of dh sending you that message Smile

RetroHippy · 22/05/2014 12:23

Looking at my FF chart, I started spotting at 11dpo, so maybe implanted at 10dpo? So I'm nearer 3 weeks than 4. Which would actually work out with my last period date and short cycle. Weird.

Interesting to find out.

RetroHippy · 22/05/2014 12:24

Nearer 4 weeks than 5. I think. Who knows!

PolytheneGirl · 22/05/2014 14:35

Apparently DM thinks I've put on weight! Who'd have thought it? So I fobbed her off with a quick "oh yeah my medication is really bloating me up! I'm bloody annoyed about it!"
Has my nose grown? Blush

Haha poly!! I had to make up this story last night about beingon anti biotics which is why I wasnt having a ddrink. My mum will havr guessed by now im sure!

RetroHippy · 22/05/2014 16:27

poly, I am likely to gain weight very rapidly if I carry on like I have been. I am ravenous all the time! I wake up at 4ish, starving. I ate a huge lunch today (pie, veg, potatoes, gravy). Two hours later; starving. Had a mini rhubarb crumble with custard at 3, guess what? I'm now hungry again!

Is this normal this early on? Or am I just giving in to hunger pangs that I would normally ignore? I have had a particularly piggish day today, as I'm off work. The past few days I've been mainlining fruit, but what I really want is protein! I'm going to have to curb this soon Grin

PolytheneGirl · 22/05/2014 16:59

I think it's pretty normal Retro. I feel really sick when I get hungry and am hungry every couple of hours. I'm very bloated too! Can't wait till I can tell people!

Oh and surprise surprise, no call back from the hospital!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 22/05/2014 17:20

Protein is one of the main thing out bodies need right now Retro so give in to it!! Eat!
Think most people these days don't believe the antibiotics line - mainly because you can actually drink on most of them!
Poly did you MIL out right say that to you?! Cheek!!

PolytheneGirl · 22/05/2014 18:02

English it was my DM. She always thinks I need to put on weight so she wasn't saying it in a negative way but she was very direct about it. I am feeling particularly bloaty today too!

Love the hungry caterpillar poly

I've been feeling particularly awful today, sticky and shattered and generally off colour. 8+6 and away to mum and dad this weekend before booking appointment on Tuesday.

Just wish I knew when my scan is, so tricky to get time off before work know...any ideas for a last minute half day?

fancyacupoftea · 22/05/2014 18:31

Yeah you're right English, 3 weeks is a long time. Sorry you have to wait that long. As soon as it happens and you see your happy healthy baby though, that 3 week wait will all seem worth it.

Retro I did eat all the fucking time. Still am but maybe not as much. Did eat my lunch at 11am today though.

Told the Head today. It went well because I told her how worried I was about them not being able to find my replacement - we discussed possible ideas (she's worried too!) but made me feel a lot better.

I need to tidy the house tonight. Got home, sat on the sofa, made DH fetch me stuff. Expect I'll still be here at 10pm.

fancyacupoftea · 22/05/2014 18:32

Knotty your car is making a funny noise and you HAVE to get it to the garage!

CallingAllEngels · 22/05/2014 18:39

Sorry to hear your scan wasn't more reassuring english

poly I think I NEED one of those!

RetroHippy · 22/05/2014 18:43

poly, I'll knit you one!

PolytheneGirl · 22/05/2014 18:44

Really Retro? I'd love you forever!

Fancy, glad your head has reassured you.
