God that's reassuring fancy, not that it's good news for either of us. I was dreading it even before we started this morning, not because I'm worried for bean but because I just feel so fat, unattractive, sick and bloated. I couldn't wait for it to be over Hmm...but then I knew dd was awake so we were trying to be quiet. I think darkened room when dd is asleep next time! Dh is having to exert restraint re:fondling of new boobs, it's torture for him, ha!

Feeling really bleurgh today. No amount of food is helping.

About to do some decorating too: we are using the Little Greene Company paint and it's safe for pg women and newborns. Pricey but worth it as dh is useless at painting, so I'd rather just get it done! I've also bought some of these masks to fend off fumes, you can get them in the ££shops. Happy DIY/gardening to you all!

Eeeek just got back from early scan! She dated me as 6+4 which is about what I thought (give or take a couple of days!) Got to see the little heartbeat and even got a little DVD of it!! Will try as attached picture! (Not that you can see much it looks just like a blob!) haha

Yay Tilly that's exciting news Smile fab to see that little heartbeat Smile

haquoi123 · 17/05/2014 11:51

Aww Tilly congrats! I want to see my bean now (although my sister renamed mine as little sweetcorn)

Thanks so much everyone for the advice on spa, I'll give center parcs a ring and see about getting some money back for reduced services, but I think it'll still be good fun.

Ooh sex, I'll give it a go! we have had sex once which was lovely but I got stabbing pains afterwards.

Still no major symptoms and cramping has stopped. Just wisdom teeth making an appearance now, yeuch!

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 11:52

Yay Tilly congratulations! Out of interest, did they tell you what side you ovulated from?

Tilly28 · 17/05/2014 11:53

Lol! We keep calling it the little blob! Haha! Will have to think if a cuter nickname! It was lovely to see but as soon as we left I was saying I want to go again in a couple more weeks just to check on it! :-/ not sure my dp will agree to that though, might be a little too obsessive!!!

Tilly28 · 17/05/2014 11:55

No they didn't fancy but it was more to my left side! She could only see one ovary actually but said it was because my stomach was grumbling with all the water id drunk so she couldn't get to the other one! Haha!

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 12:01

I was told my right and so I'm guessing that's why my blob was on the right and yours is left?

Tilly28 · 17/05/2014 12:14

Lol! I'm not the only one calling it a blob then! :-)

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 14:28

Been horizontal most the day just resting but got up and walked around and got a pain in my uterus. Had to lie back down. I hate this worry.

Just been to the bathroom and there was a tiny little bit of blood when I wiped, really tiny but red and I'm feeling very crampy, shitting myself now

If its just a very tiny dot might it be a scratch or a uti? Try not to panic too much Thanks

lindamagoo · 17/05/2014 16:48

I'm thinking with the kind of pain I've got it's hopefully a uti, I've to go up to the local hospital at 6.30 to get checked so fingers crossed it's nothing bad

ChineseFireball · 17/05/2014 16:59

Crampy pains on and off here as well Sad I wondered whether they were stretching pains that have started later than in my first pregnancy because my uterus has already stretched once and possibly didn't go right back to the same pre-pregnancy size? I'm not too worried at the moment but I will definitely be mentioning it to the MW at my booking appointment on Monday. Hope everyone's crampy tums subside soon.

It's been a lovely day here today - sunny and warm. We are just at the park with DS - DH is playing with him while I sit and MN Smile We are going out for a curry tonight for a friend's 40th and I'm swinging from really looking forward to it to dreading it. Nausea is ok at the moment but it gets worse in the evening so I hope today is going to be a good day! Grandma is coming to babysit and will be doing bedtime for the first time since the cot sides came off so I hope it goes ok! Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

8 weeks today!

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 17:42

Good luck Linda, fingers crossed.

My cramps have subsided after an epic nap but still going to take it easy (like I need an excuse). I managed to have sex after all and wonder if the pain was related to that - google tells me other people have had cramps a up to a few hours after.
