Mismylinford-limbo is exactly the word to describe it. How's everything with you now? I went to my gp the day after a and e and she heard the heartbeat on the Doppler so it is good to know baby's well. Just weird to have so much blood and no explanation it was just left at that with just see what happens, it's just spotting now, so hope it is something that just goes away. I was back at work yesterday but trying to take it as easy as I can, felt too guilty taking so much time off into lead up to exams.
Hope everyone else who's feeling unwell starts to feel better soon.
Don't want to wish my life away but really want the 20 week scan to hurry up

utopian99 · 09/05/2014 19:04

winter that's awful news. What excuse have they given?

Mathssssteacher123 · 09/05/2014 19:07

And winter that's awful :( poor you. What reason did they give?

WinterLover · 09/05/2014 19:17

Reduced budget! Total crap Sad

mismylinford · 09/05/2014 19:22

Winter - i sincerely hope that its not pregnancy related. Sorry its been a bad week for you.
Maths - ive still got pain and spotting nearly 15 weeks, no gushes for nearly 2 weeks now. Im pretty sure that you will have a bruise like me and it will settle out with time. I just keep reminding myself that everythings ok i have a bump now which is very nice to see. Keep your chin up x

WinterLover · 09/05/2014 19:25

3 weeks ago they wanted to increase my hours and take me on as staff... 2 weeks ago I told them I was pregnant. Plus they used that reason for someone else not long ago joking how it wasn't really the case.

FTMK · 09/05/2014 19:47

Rubbish news winter. mathssssteacher123 I had a bleed at 10+6. Scanned next day and then had NT at 12 weeks and no reason found for it. Thought it might be a sub chorionic haemorrhage but no sign of anything. Bean totally fine. Took a couple of days to settle but no more bright red blood. Slightly reassured by the scans but still worrying! Think I will until I have the baby and then I'll have a whole new set of things to worry about! Congratulations to all with good scan results.

alita7 · 09/05/2014 19:48

maths good to hear there's a heart beat maths!

winter that awful I'd make a grievance or whatever it's called! File a complaint anyway!

WinterLover · 09/05/2014 19:50

Tigsy · 09/05/2014 23:18

Did you get my email for fb Tigsy? I thought I'd emailed correctly maybe not as I haven't seen an invite?

WinterLover · 10/05/2014 05:28

tigsy ive pm'd you Grin

Venus2 · 10/05/2014 06:36

Winter, did you speak to the MW about the dizziness? I have had some really bad spells this week where I feel like I'm going to faint and vision goes blurry. DH has had to help my to the sofa it has been that bad. Love to know what's causing it other than DH's reason that 'your pregnant'.

utopian99 · 10/05/2014 07:25

Venus it could well be lower blood pressure as you're pregnant? I have this problem even when not pg and was told it's down to low BP, but it gets worse when pg as you have more areas to push blood around.

MrsWombat · 10/05/2014 07:38

Winter Hope things get better.

Bought my scan photos in to work yesterday, and no one from my little office was in to show! Sad Wore my maternity jeans for the first time too!

A woman from the other team (big open plan office) has just had her 20 week scan and is having a little girl so was showing everyone, so I didn't want to hijack her big news by telling the other team. A much older lady (very nice) from one of the other teams complimented me on my top. I was about to (stuff it and) say it's actually a maternity top, but then she said, "I have that top too. Is it from Next?" (Er, yes) So didn't want to tell her it was a maternity one. Confused She's definitely not been pregnant in the he past five years, so it's slightly bizarre that she would have the same top...

Anyway, I emailed my line manager my news. She has been on holiday for the past month (thank The Lord) and will be back on Monday, so the cat will be out the bag and dust will settle by the time I'm back in the office on Thursday.

I really want to tell our families this weekend, but DP wants to wait for the blood test results. We've got DS's birthday next week, and I want everyone to know before his party. I also don't want it to overshadow his actual birthday. Sad To people who know me, I definitely think I look pregnant, so they are going to guess at his party when I'm running around hot and bothered in just a t shirt and jeans. It's easier to hide behind a coat/jumper/desk everywhere else. Also we are now unexpectedly going to visit DP's aunt tomorrow with his mum and brother, so would be a perfect time to tell everyone. I've got 36 hours to work on him....

He also wants to find out the sex of the baby, and I don't. I like the surprise from we had last time. He's convinced it's a girl, I think, and wants to prepare. For what I don't know, a boy will slide in to the family very easily, and a girl would just have to wear boys clothes and like Thomas The Tank Engine for the next five years. Grin There's going to be a 6 year age gap between kids so if we can afford a bigger house/extension then we'll need to do it anyway so they can have separate bedrooms. I said I'm willing to compromise, and find out. But not to tell anyone, or let anyone know that we know. But I don't think it's fair for us to know, and DS not know.

Argh!

Polkadotscarf · 10/05/2014 07:51

Phew, have caught up! I hope something works out on the job front winter...
I'm now 14+4 and still being sick, is anyone else? Am getting frustrated with folk telling me I shouldn't be when I am! My mum was sick for the whole nine months with all her pregnancies but I am still hopeful it will wear off!

WinterLover · 10/05/2014 07:59

venus I couldn't get through and then got side tracked with the call about my job. I have an appointment with the midwife early next week so could always mention it then

Amyrose82 · 10/05/2014 08:32

Winter that's crappy news - hope something comes up for you soonThanks

Hope you're feeling better Maths Thanks

Anyone else putting off telling work? Not sure why but I've got it into my head to wait until the next scan if possible! Have told a couple of close work friends but that's it - don't think I can face it being public news just yet!

Tigsy · 10/05/2014 08:40

Alita no didn't get one from you. If no luck, you can pm me on here. I wasn't sure if I knew how to read/respond to messages on here but Winter messaged me and I managed to figure it out Smile

alita7 · 10/05/2014 10:11

Tigsy ill pm you.

Winter can your ds keep a secret? on one hand it may seem unfair to not let him tell anyone but equally he may love being the only person who knows and being part of your little secret?

MummyV18 · 10/05/2014 10:33

Could I join you all on the Facebook group please Smile

WinterLover · 10/05/2014 12:33

Feeling brighter today on the work front. Between DP and I we applied for 20+ jobs last night and ive still more today. I will do anything to no have to go back to that place next week now

StudyFullTime · 10/05/2014 12:40

just had my nuchal results back and they are 1:1781 so am very happy about this. Considering my age it's quite a low risk.

PosyFossilsShoes · 10/05/2014 12:56

Tigsy I've sent an email to the address you put upthread. I don't know if you'll be able to find me on Facebook though, I have my privacy settings set to nuclear.

alita7 · 10/05/2014 13:17

Urgh I have a friend who thinks she knows things and she's bloody convinced it's a boy... wish she'd shut up if anyone's gonna know it would be me with it being inside me and all! Now I really really want it to be a girl just to prove her wrong!
A few months back she said when I have a baby it would be a boy and said something about my mmc re incarnating... well considering it's a different dad... well I thought it wasn't a nice thing to say, each baby is an individual!
Can I handle 6 more weeks of people being certain one way or another?!?!?!
