Hi, new to posting in this bit, posted on pregnancy a few time. Lovely to read your stories and messages.

I am currently 38+ 5 with baby no 3 (girl), I have a ds age14 and a dd aged 8, I had both sections with them so have my section booked for this Thursday and I am totally cacking myself! Just found out today to I have tested positive fro group b strep so more anxious now! No signs of labour starting early, so lookalike I will be here to Thursday.

I also suffer terribly with my hands, nerve pains and numbness , one doc said tendinitis another carpel tunnel, currently on co-codamol 30/500 at night to help me sleep as they cause me agony
Look forward to keeping a eye out on here for all the exciting baby news

ClearlyMoo · 11/05/2014 23:20

Just had a little cry. Today first day of being officially overdue. I've not had a bad day - uncomfortable start but slept while everyone was at church. Then m-i-l cooked roast pork for lunch. Monopoly with DH this afternoon. He's not competitive enough so I won Wink then washed the 5 slings we've been given (all different remarkably) followed by Sunday evening TV and I made some of the mobile for baby's room. A nice day all in all.

Then just in a wave as I got up and had BH cx I burst into tears. Told DH I'm trying REALLY hard not to be a grumpy pregnant lady but I really would like baby to arrive now!!

Hopefully I can hold it together a bit better tomorrow. Crying on day one is clearly pathetic!!

40+1

Aww Clearly the end is in sight now! Although that probably isn't much help right now, I really hope you have a better day tomorrow Thanks

Welcome surprise!

Exciting stuff chemas, can't wait for more baby news!

Good luck moas, keep us updated when you can. Sending speedy labour vibes your way!

We had a lovely weekend back home and it was lovely to show Callie the sea and to see our families. Turns out we're going back in the middle of the week as there's some extra work for OH on one evening Grin

We've got health visitor clinic tomorrow, there's so much I need to mention. She's still constipated and the formula isn't doing much for her, she's coming out in a rash on her face and chest after every feed, she's so colicky and screams a lot, plus she has a kind of friction rash in one of the folds of her neck, and it's broken and weeping. Oh and to top it all off I'm feeling major anxiety, I feel convinced that everyone I see on the street wants to steal her or hurt her, and that every little cough or cry is the end of the world, and that I'm a terrible mum. Although I'm not sure whether I should mention that one to the HV or not Hmm

On the bright side, her christening is coming on well. We're allowed a private Christening, apparently, so we'll be able to fit everyone in the church. And we've asked our godparents and they've all agreed and are thrilled Grin

eggsnbeans · 12/05/2014 05:13

Awww exciting chemas looking forward to hearing your baby news Grin

Hope something starts happening for you soon dobe

moomin bepanthen is really good for that yukky skin fold rash, especially once it's broken. If it's just a bit red (or to prevent it) cornflour works well too. Def chat to your HV about your anxieties, it's very common to think those sorts of things (the mother bear instinct in full force Wink ) especially with your first bub! I remember imagining all sorts of crazy scenarios after DD was born! The crazy changing hormones do not help at all eh!

Ditsydebs · 12/05/2014 05:58

40+3 and been in on off labour for the last 48hours:(
Had a show yesterday which has been on going and getting very bloody now and last night was contracting every ten minutes for hours, went to bed hoping to be woken by horrendous pain only to wake up at 5am feeling very frustrated that it all stopped.
Sent kids to friends in case we needed to go to the hospital and now feel bad that we have wasted their time.
I have midwife appointment this morning so hoping she has some hope for me! I heard 3rd babies were a pain but was hoping it wasn't true!! Just want to meet baby and start to settle down as a family 5, my poor older two seem to be living on the edge just like me the eldest text ten times last night asking if i was going to the hospital, feel like i keep letting them down.

wm3010 · 12/05/2014 08:13

Hi all, sorry for delay in updating, have been in the newborn daze since Friday! After my relatively chilled out post things were still calm until about 6 am when I seemed to go from 0-60 in about 5 mins and was getting what seemed like continuous contractions. Phoned ward and said I was coming in, was panicking a bit in the car since seemed totally unlike it's supposed to be, slow first stage etc. Was already 6cm when got to hospital at 8am. Baby Marnie arrived just before 12 noon, 8lb 9.5oz. Managed with tens and gas and air although needed stitches in the end - was a bit scared when surgeon had to come and check it hadn't torn as far as back passage (sorry if tmi) but thankfully it hadn't so just the 20 stitches under local... Home on Saturday, all going ok so far. Will put some photos on facebook soon. Tired but very happy house here!

Thinking of you all - where's the post natal thread again?

ohdearitshappeningtome · 12/05/2014 08:22

Wm!! Congrats ;-) Thanks

Choppa · 12/05/2014 08:35

Hey all

TODAY IS MY DUE DATE!!! Yay...FINALLY :)

Happy due date to bushprincess and anyone else hitting dd today :)

Clearly....I don't think it's pathetic at all to have a good cry at this stage. We have so much going on both hormones and all the 'unknowns' and anticipation. A good cry helps! It will all be kicking off soon and we will have our babies soon...that's what I keep telling myself!!

Moomin....glad you had a nice weekend. Defo talk to midwife about your feelings...seems quite normal to be protective though. Sounds like the skin problems could be linked to milk...did you say she is already on comfort milk? There are other lactose free and other 'special milks' that you could be prescribed so maybe see what the Hv says, although you may need to take her to a GP for a prescription.

Debs...sounds like things are getting going for you but it us frustrating when it's stop start! Hope MW can tell you more!

Congrats wm! Look forward to seeing some pictures.

Thinking of you Chemas and moas! Come on babies!!

Love to all xxx

sambababy · 12/05/2014 09:03

Congratulations wm! What a lovely name too. How fast was it all in the end?

Good luck those in labour and happy due date ladies.

bushprincess · 12/05/2014 09:16

happy due date choppa!!! whoop whoop!! (now come on out babies - your time is up!!)

clearly don't worry about having a good cry, it's a funny time now - I keep feeling grumpy for no particular reason and then feeling bad as really I've nothing to complain about... but constant 'maybe this is it' feelings keep you slightly on edge all the time... have a good cry and hopefully it'll feel better!

Huge congratulations wm sorry about the tear but so glad it didn't go right through, hope you heal up without undue pain, keep on enjoying the newborn bliss!!

ditsy so sorry you've had such a long drawn out first stage, hope your mw can reassure you that things are progressing ok and that you get to meet DC3 soon!

moomin so glad you had a lovely time with your family and that the christening arrangements are going well. Sorry to hear Callie is struggling with the formula, hope you get her settled on something suitable soon. And assuming you're comfortable talking with your hv then do use her to discuss your anxieties - thats what they are their for and can refer you to someone if you feel you need it (not suggesting that it's anything other than normal maternal feelings - as a firsttimer I've no idea! - but just that if there's an oppurtunity to talk then take it!)

Welcome suprise! sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel, hope you're managing to rest despite it xx

Chip86 · 12/05/2014 09:47

impatientlywaiting · 12/05/2014 10:38

Congratulations WM, I can't wait to see pics of Marnie. Lovely name too.

Happy DueDate Choppa and Bush.

Ditsy I'm sending quick labour vibes your way. Not long for you til you are meeting your baby.

loopylou52 · 12/05/2014 11:59

Congratulations wm, glad to hear you're recovering well.

Sending positive labour vibes to everyone in need. I have my 40 week mw appointment tomorrow (at 40+2). As a first timer with no particular issues, am I likely to be offered a sweep? Am in two minds as to whether I want one or not.

moas · 12/05/2014 13:41

Haven't got time to catch up properly but had to tell you that our son Gil was born at 3am! A lovely textbook birth, which I managed with gas and air but I was HOWLING my way through it!

ohdearitshappeningtome · 12/05/2014 14:06

Wahoo moas!! Xx

Chip86 · 12/05/2014 14:07

Congratulations moas great news well done you, and lovely name take care

I want my baby not fair, mw appointment was total waste of time she did not have anything with her so just did blood pressure Sad going for another walk soon get out baby !

MasterFlea · 12/05/2014 14:16

Another update here too. Congrats Moas

I gave birth to a baby boy yesterday morning. Will update properly when I get home tomorrow. We are both doing well.

ClearlyMoo · 12/05/2014 14:25

Wow! GrinMaybies flying out all over the place!!!

Congrats WM, Moas and MasterFlea!

Love the names Gil & Marnie!

Still impatiently waiting here! I went for a naughty over due swim first thing! 600m by 8am! That's my free swims done (loyalty card 10 swims get 2 free) so baby can come now! geek alert I worked out I've been for a swim or to Aquanatal class 33 times in last 65 days! Leisure centre staff well jumpy about my presence now! Think I'll go to Aquanatal yoga Wednesday but then once midwife has a go at a sweep on Thurs I'll hang up my cossie and goggles for the time being.

Absolutely nothing to report here not even BH except I had to do clothes washing (had kind of been hoping baby would come) as I'm down to three outfits (two dresses with leggings then one pair of jogging bottoms with whatever top fits) and as I washed everything had to put my pjs back on. Which meant I obviously had to go back to bed so lazy!

Have good days everyone! My turn soon please?

40+2

Huge congratulations moas & masterflea!!

loopylou52 · 12/05/2014 14:39

Wow, congratulations moas and masterflea, excellent news! These maybies are coming thick and fast! Looking forward to pics and details when you have the time/energy.

I just decided to treat myself by ordering a set of giant Aden and Anais muslins. Quite pricey but hopefully they'll be good quality and get lots of use. Yesterday I ordered a nursing pillow. Maybe my new policy will be to buy something nice for each day I go overdue. My dh will be delighted! Grin

chemas · 12/05/2014 14:45

Delilah Joan born today weighing 7pound2 and thrilling her big brother :) turns out my little 5 year old was the perfect birth support assistant lol he was right there up until the dash in the wheelchair which just got me to delivery as I could feel her head coming out! Born minutes later! Fed for the first 2 hours of her life and despite mw thoughts did not hibernate in fact fed much more all afternoon! feeling smitten! congrats to all of you mummies and those still waiting it's just around the corner Smile

Oh my goodness- all these babies at the same time! Congrats everyone- enjoy all those newborn cuddles.

11 days to go until elcs unless he comes early of course. Had my friends's wedding at weekend which I really didn't want to miss so that's done now, house is all sparkling, clothes all washed, equipment all ready to go so practically am ready for this baby! Am not feeling too bad so don't really mind if he waits till next Friday as planned- know dh wants him to stay put as paternity leave all planned nicely! Am trying to get lots of naps in where I can- had day at home today as ds at nursery all day so been nice.

Good luck to anyone in labour currently!

Choppa · 12/05/2014 16:14
