You poor people with bad MS, so debilitating. I have moments, usually quelled by constantly stuffing my face. Can't imagine what it must be like to feel like all the time.

Well done on the scan boo

Annie prepared for a number of comments. I remember when preg with no 5 another mother who had just found out exclaimed very loudly "Are you mad? "
V. rude. I told I didn't think so and that I thought it wa a really fantastic thing. There were no more comments like that from her.You stay positive and the comments will

fatfox · 25/08/2006 19:35

I'm only on my third and have had comments like "haven't you got enough children? You've got one of each, haven't you?"

Its no wonder the government is worried that people aren't having enough babies anymore

kittywits · 25/08/2006 19:36

Fatfox, that thread is pretty anger making but somehow addictive. I am a sad lady! Thought your post was excellent. I never seem to find the right wrods at the time, pees me off. Constipation? Senna works, but is gentle and ok to use, syrup of figs all that stuff. The liquids taste vile but the results are worth it
Drink lots of water too.

fatfox · 25/08/2006 19:38

Kittywits, I'm kind of hovering about waiting to go back on that thread when the time is right

babycakes26 · 25/08/2006 20:31

Hi Everyone - can't believe the weekend is here again!!! The days seem to go so slowly at the moment but weekends do seem to come around quickly here on mn (if that makes no sense I apologise). Boo your scan news is brill - so pleased for you. Welcome to Caz and Annie and positive messages for a relaxing weekend to all the regulars. Dolly hope the ms gets better soon honey you really seem to be struggling - mine is still mild but fairly rotten as it wakes me up from 4am - bloomin' inconvenient - I look like a zombie through lack of sleep and think I am turning into Waynetta Slob - must get a grip!!! Anyone else feeling thrown out of all usual routine? I too seem to be turning into an agoraphobe (sp??) - usually very sociable - what's happening???!!

babycakes26 · 25/08/2006 20:32

No bleeding yet btw after scan upset on Wed...so still +ve!

kittywits · 25/08/2006 20:57

great babycakes, fingers and toes crossed for you.

leogaela · 25/08/2006 21:49

Fatfox - constipation a glass or 2 of apple juice first thing in the morning!

Lol thinking about people's reactions when you tell them you are pregnant! It gets even better or worse!) telling people i am pregnant with twins! I'v had everything from 'oh my god, how terrible, i feel so sorry for you' to my boss who threw his arms around me and kissed me (on the cheek) and thinks it is the best thing that could ever happen!

Good news babycakes! It all sounds very positive to me !

Welcome Caz & Annie.

I went ot the doc today had another scan and everything looks to be fine! Still 2 babies, 2 heads, 2 heartbeats, 4 hands... !

Right, that's me off on holiday. Catch up with you all in 3 weeks when ms will be a thing of the past !

fatfox · 25/08/2006 22:43

Babycakes - wot's wrong with Waynetta Slob, she's my role model?

Off to bed now,

a pregnant, tired and constipated, Waynetta XX

fatfox · 25/08/2006 22:58

Kittywits - I just got involved in another huge barny on a different thread - all the like minded mums left and the others all started picking on me Its all good fun isn't it ?

fatfox · 25/08/2006 23:06

Kittywits - sorry to go on, but just checked and it was exactly the same people who rounded on you too!!! Same tactics too! Amazing

eidsvold · 25/08/2006 23:39

well morning sickness seems to be getting worse - am nine weeks so not impressed as it had subsided. Seems to go hand in hand with not having a good nights sleep.

Picture this - pooper scooping ( we had dog for a week) in my dressing gown - dry retching cause of the smell - thanking god we have a 6ft fence and no one can see but one neighbour if I have to actually puke!!

kittywits · 26/08/2006 07:59

Eidsvold, that's truly disgusting. I have probs with dog poo at the best of times

Fatfox it's like I ws saying yesterday there are a group of maurading gestapo type lunatics on MN. But actually once to know who they are you take no notice. I rather suspect that a couple in particular are quite used to "holding court".
I have seen it happen with one person, it was quite nauseating, and I think they get really angry if you won't do what they say and think as they do.
You could either chose to ignore or goad depending on your mood. I reckon if enough mums stick up for each other, then like any bullies they'll stop. Off to see if I can find the thread now
BTW if I find you having a ding dong, I'll be backing you up all the way, even if I don't agree !!

novadandypowder · 26/08/2006 10:13

oh ladies I love a bit of scandal - what threads are you rowing on???

pennygaff · 26/08/2006 10:20

Morning, Wheres that fanny thread?

kittywits · 26/08/2006 11:34

Hi penny, can't woek out how to do a link to a mn page, but it's about what to call your fanny. it's not 'live' at the mo though.
Please can someone tell me hoe to do mn link. Can just about do other web site stuff, takes me AGES though!

Nova it was a thread about smacking v smacking, actually it didn't start off that way but as is always the way of things ended up like that, actually it was a cat fight.

Fatfox, what was the other ding dong thread you were on, can't find it?

kittywits · 26/08/2006 11:35

oops, meant smacking v non-smacking

novadandypowder · 26/08/2006 13:13

Kittywits - I've discovered that if you go into 'search current messages' up the top there, you can do a search of all the messages by user name. Thats what I did this morning to see what you and fatfox had been arguing about.

Oh dear that sounds slightly stalkery

kittywits · 26/08/2006 13:29

Excellent tip nova, I'm off to stalk

pennygaff · 26/08/2006 17:22

ha ha, just been reading the 'Fanny' Thread and laughing at the PC Madness, What a crazy world we live in

liquidclocks · 26/08/2006 21:32

[Hijack]

Kittywits - just wanted to say a big thanks re advice on eczema - been bathing DS with epaderm and using the aveeno for nearly a week now and he's SO much better! thank you!

Sorry all, good luck for March (back off to september thread now)

fatfox · 27/08/2006 07:36

Kittywits

I read a nice term yesterday somehere: Liberal Fascists - we have lovely hippy ideas and don't you dare disagree with us. I was on the "faith schools - how do they get away with it?" thread. I should have known from the title it wasn't going to be a sensible debate I suppose. I'm very happy for people to disagree and find their views really interesting, but it descended into anti-christian rants, which would, in any other context, be called "incitement to religious hatred" - just because I dared to disagree.

Regarding the smacking thread, (Hi Liquidlocks - nice to see you one here), I think you and I should just resign ourselves to being a couple of Slappers .

Seriously though, its a shame that when some people can't win the intellectal debate, they descend into name calling and abuse.

My friend used to run the Guardian chat pages and she says there are a group on there who deliberately go round disrupting some discussions, trying to provoke people into fights so it descends into chaos.

Sorry everyone else for the diversion, but I was so cross yeserday I didn't even come onto MN - which is drastic, as I am a serious addict.

When I'm trying to find something, I usually look under "in last hour" or "in last day" if I'm not already on that thread.

I would really appreciate someone telling me how to do links as well. Glad its not just me who hasn't worked out how .

Pennygaff - the fanny site is so funny isn't it? I think I might even use the term "minnie" now for DD's Volvo.

Eivsvold - please, too much detail about the poo. We're a rather delicate lot on here at the moment . What's the weather like where you are at the moment? Come on, make us all jealous

fatfox · 27/08/2006 08:48

PS Am off to sister's party this morning and will tell the family about pregnancy, wish me luck!!!!

novadandypowder · 27/08/2006 09:22

hehe - good luck Fatfox, and I think I might just call it a Volvo (snigger).

When you go to post a message have a look at the little box to the right, it tells you how to post a link and it's very easy:

\link{then you put the web addy in here\then you put what you want it to come up as on the message}

eidsvold · 27/08/2006 09:33

well sunday - today was a balmy 27 degrees celsius - lovely winter's day. Took the girls to visit my db and sil and we took them to the beach - water temp was too cold for swimming but they had fun just playing in the sand.
