I totally feel like that that's why I'm slightly worried about my scan tomorrow. I'm 12+3

morocco · 07/09/2006 21:10

Thank you, plus I've just read a thread on the pregnancy section that freaked me out. Someone had her first scan and they couldn't find a heartbeat.

morocco · 07/09/2006 21:18

it's always at the back of your mind I suppose til you see your little bean dancing away on the screen.
no reason to think anything is up though, is there?

tidyjane · 07/09/2006 21:20

Heu...... not really, a part from the fact that my MS seems to have stopped and I don't really feel pregnant anymore.

onilly · 07/09/2006 22:24

DollyP - thanks, ironically I am the HR person at work so in theory should be absolutely fine about my legal rights as have used them liberally for my mums coming back to work before - unfortunately my US boss believes that woman should only get 12 weeks off (coz thats all the US gets) and come back to work - oh well, I am about to educate her... wish me luck I intend to kick the discussions off tomorrow ! I have it all rehearsed..
We are also in the middle of selling off a big chunk of our company and I know she will be mad that I will off during the critical time. Hey-ho.

Penny - Relieved to hear you have lost your appetite too...thank god for that Its not just me then....Fatfox I get that full bloated feeling too. Whew. I will be honest, this thread is just about keeping me sane !

Caught the end of Eastenders... night all.

eidsvold · 07/09/2006 22:24

no loss of appetite - been eating like anything. THe only thing that seems to keep morning/all day sicknes at bay - just keep eating.

1st scan for me - mon 18th.

11weeks today

TidyJane - good luck !

madhide · 08/09/2006 09:18

Tidy Jane - let us know how you get on I am sure it will be fine

Does anyone else think they have felt the baby kick? This is my 2nd pregnancy and I am sure I have felt a couple of kicks!?

Right off to start packing we are going to Cornwall for a week tomorrow. cannot wait although not looking forward to the car journey of 5 hours with DD who is 2!

LunarSea · 08/09/2006 09:51

Piffle - you could come to the Midlands Xmas meal .

ProfYaffle · 08/09/2006 09:59

Madhide - I'm sure I've felt mine (2nd pg also). I'm 15 weeks now and for ages I've been feeling the odd twitch and wondering if it was the baby or not. Now I'm pretty sure it is, really delicate, fluttery feeling in just the right spot.

dixia · 08/09/2006 10:07

pennygaff - i don't have much appetite, i am eating little and not that often. In the mornings it is still a real battle to keep food down, so I've been avoiding it a bit.

eidsvold - my first scan is on monday 18th too - i'm a bit nervous, will be 14+4 then,I too keep thinking this pregnancy is all some elaborate hoax my body is playing on me.

Back to Spain on tuesday - quite looking forward to being back at home now, had enough of traipsing around various family members houses.

I'm at my Dad's now, where luckily he has wireless broadband so I can surf mumsnet while ds plays on the cbeebies website! Am i a bad parent?

13+1

Piffle · 08/09/2006 10:57

good luck for today TidyJane

divastrop · 08/09/2006 11:15

tidyjane,i felt like that when going for my scan,i'd also read some things on other sites that worried me(i wish i hadnt)but everything was fine,as im sure it will be for you.
i cant stop eating now,but that may be due to cutting down on the fags(im still struggling but have gone from 10 a day to 2 a day in a week).
i havent watched eastenders in 4 months, whats happening?is there something interesting??

divastrop · 08/09/2006 11:16

oh yeah,13+2

themum · 08/09/2006 11:28

Tallara is a lovely name. I haven't heard that before.

I have been hassling midwives about my scan. I have been told that the nuchal measurement can be done up to 16 weeks. I thought it was 14? Is this the same as CVS? Not sure what CVS is?

Tallie11 · 08/09/2006 11:33

Hi Themum,
I had a nuchal measurement scan yesterday and they said up to 14weeks.
Hope that helps.

Tallie xx

Piffle · 08/09/2006 11:36

CVS is chorionic villius sampling they take sample from inside your womb AFAIK to test for certain things

themum · 08/09/2006 11:39

Thanks guys. I am seeing the midwife today and will press for urgent scan. Might have to cry or something!

SassiLils · 08/09/2006 11:52

Hi fatfox, Thanks for the warm welcome. I have just got back to work after my scan and they have put me at 15+6, Making my DD 24/2/07...Quite surprized as thought I had my dates worked out for sure. Glad all is okay though! have to admit it's face did resemble E.T, which my 7yrd old found highly amusing!...going back to a previous link that I had read of yours...I too have been having highly erotic dreams!, the sort that make you blush the next morning. Pleased to hear i wasn't the only one.

SassiLils · 08/09/2006 12:09

oops sorry Dolly P, thank you for the welcome too!

onilly · 08/09/2006 12:39

Diva - I havent been watching EastEnders either, but heard they had a Downs Baby story line - so caught the end of it last night after work.. I think its Honey and Billy? have now got a Downs baby, she refused all the tests so didnt have any forewarning and I guess we'll see what happens next.
I think I speak for all of us, but everyone wants a healthy complete baby, and this is quite a relevant story line for us all right now.

Good luck with scan NewMum - I found the whole experience a bit confusing, but am fairly reassured now.

Have conference call with my uber successful US boss lady this pm - will be dropping the bomb that I will be off for minimum 8 months from Feb onwards - wish me luck, I think she will want my head on a stick. Rehearsed speach to DH last night, he is most bemused at my tension.

Told my two guy directors today, they arent actually my bosses but peers so it was easier. One of them actually got a tear in his eye. Bless, they are old softies. They also confessed they were worried about me, coz I have been looking so green lately.... I am amazed at the advice they are giving me. I think guys get quite involved in it all..

Hope all is well with you all.

onilly · 08/09/2006 12:40

oopps sorry, not NewMum, TheMum.... urg braindead.

divastrop · 08/09/2006 12:50

onilly,i thought it was something to do with that but wasnt sure.they are doing it to punish me for stopping waching eastenders after 21 loyal years im sure(i refused all the tests as well).
sasslis(soz cant remember spelling!)hello and welcome.ive been having awful nightmares up till now,but last night i had a rude dream that had me blushing(and dp thinking i was very strange when i told him).i dont know which are worse?

divastrop · 08/09/2006 12:51

sassilils,sorry!
