Mrsb time away with your family sounds lovely. I love this years CentreParcs advert too, it makes me go all shivery as the advert was being played a lot around the time BFP and DH kept singing the 'Time of our lives' song to me when we found out I was pregnant. Cheesy but lovely that everytime I hear that song it has special meaning (just got to forget the chucking up bit!)

How are you feeling BTW? Are you still being sick or has it eased?

Sorry if I have missed a previous post, my MN time is v erratic at the moment. 3 big campaigns going live at work in the next week or so AND we move house next Saturday- Aaaargh!

Kirsti the baby show in Glasgow sounds great. Think I might have to pop down to that one. We should have all the big bits bought by then so I can look at nappies and nice little extras Grin

Dentist has given me another lot of antibiotics last lot was in March she was worried about being able to get the tooth numb with a infection there I hope they work and the pain goes. On the down side I know I will get thrush again :(
The talk of centre parcs makes me :) this baby was conceived there I know as we had a moment of madness there and here I am with bump

mrsb87 · 08/05/2014 13:37

Hi binks! Yeah I'm still being sick every morning, the morning bile run is relentless! Still on ondansatron every day but at least I can get on with some normal aspects of life! I tried to come off it last week but ended up having 3 days off work to recover! Won't be trying that again in a hurry.

How are you binks?

STIGZ · 08/05/2014 13:55

Has any one considred the perfect prep machine by tommee tippee ?

I am deffo puchasing this! Apparently no more screaming newborn at 3 am who is waiting for a bottle to be cooled to the right temperature! This has me sold as i found that so stressful !!

Its got great reviews!

BingoBango85 · 08/05/2014 14:12

I can't wait for the baby show! Yay! Think even DP is excited. And we've booked our centre parcs break for 2015 with bubba! Smile

Loulou888 · 08/05/2014 16:29

I'm still feeling sick depending on what I've eaten otherwise I'm just really tired. Finding this 3rd baby hard work with no sign of blooming! Had a melt down over a lipstick last night..... How ridiculous. I don't usually wear lipstick but one of the colours I do on occadi

Loulou888 · 08/05/2014 16:30

Sorry! ....occasion has been discontinued. More cross than anything stupid hormones

binkybunny · 08/05/2014 16:31

Aww gunwalloe that's so nice you can pinpoint it!

Mrsb I'm doing fine. Got rid of the sickness bands this week and been feeling good! Had lots of other yucky stuff- constipation (or the opposite- no normal middle ground!) and hayfever. But it's better than feeling sick all the time.

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rubbish but at least you can get on with some normal things.

I want to go to Centre Parcs now! Think we might have to look into a little break next year. Are there things to do with a newborn? We've never been but the advertising works on me now I'm family minded Smile

magichandles · 08/05/2014 16:32

DC1 is starting school in September so I idly looked at booking Center Parcs for the summer holidays - and nearly had a heart attack at the price. Hopefully we might squeeze in a midweek break as last year's reception started a couple of weeks into term, but I obviously don't want to book until we know that for sure.

MundayCakes85 · 08/05/2014 16:43

Afternoon ladies, we're hoping to have a holiday in July but not sure where to go. Was thinking maybe a cheap week in Spain.
DH felt some kicks last night (19+3) they've been getting more definite in the last week, especially when I'm lying in bed on my back. Looking forward to the next scan next week.

Kirstipops · 08/05/2014 17:24

Aww I want to go to Center Parcs too now haha! Haven't been since I was about 13 but it was a really memorable holiday! We're booked up for our annual family trip down to the Lake District for New Year week. My sister is excited it'll be bump's first holiday but I had to laugh as technically he was there last year too hehe. As I am rubbish and clueless about baby development I even googled to see how big and "aware" a 3 month old will be by then!
Munday a holiday in the sun sounds great, I'd love that!
My next scan is Monday at 4, looking forward to it since I've had quite paltry offerings in the flutter department!

I know it is a bit pricey, that's why we're just going for a long weekend in school term time! It will be good for keeping my several nephews and nieces entertained. I am gutted I won't be able to go on the water slides or anything! I will stick with crazy golf, hehe!

ohthegoats · 08/05/2014 18:10

I got my 20 week appointment through for next Thursday at 9am - right at the same time as my year 6 class start their final SATs exam. I can't really miss that, so even though it says on the letter 'Can only be changed in an emergency', I'm going to have to change it. Next Thursday I'd be 20+5, is there a time limit on '20 week' scans? The following week would be much more useful, the week after that even better.

Me23 · 08/05/2014 18:30

The gold standard is for the anomaly scan to be done by 20+6 but obviously a fair few will be done after that so it shouldn't be a problem if it's done in your 21st week.

Bumpforme2014 · 08/05/2014 19:08

I am now thinking about nursery furniture, my gosh it's so expensive for cot, wardrobe and drawer sets. Also, doesn't seem to be a great deal of choice out there, any recommendations on where to get sets from and also does it have to be the best quality I.e solid oak/wood saw some cheaper ones in mothercare but they felt really cheap and easily breakable.

tak1ngchances · 08/05/2014 19:25

I believe the John Lewis basic sets are awesome. There is one with a £99 cotbed that a lot of my friends went for and loved

Me23 · 08/05/2014 19:33

bump don't get sucked in buying most expensive stuff. I bought a cheap cot in mothercare for £55 lasted me 3 years and coped with a boisterous toddler!

sazzlehopes · 08/05/2014 19:51

Ohthegoats I changed my scan date as my OH couldn't make the date (he's on a course miles away) so they moved me happily. I'll be 21+2 on the day.

Bumpforme I think eBay is a good bet for things that aren't pricey and made well. Even if you buy a few bits that are different styles you can always paint them to make them look more like a set.

puppythedog · 08/05/2014 20:01

Bump I suspect ours will come from Ikea at not huge amounts of money. We don't have much and our parents are helping get stuff and we don't want them to bankrupt themselves (schrodenberg might need other stuff we can't afford Smile ).

My parents are choosing and buying the travel system and mrsthedog's [arents are equipping the nursery. We're bloody lucky to have our folks.

puppythedog · 08/05/2014 20:13

Addition, without them we would be doing it all second hand and cheap and cheaper and that would be fine with us. We would maybe stretch to a new Ikea Crib thing.

bumpbangbump · 08/05/2014 20:17

You're brave letting them choose the buggy... Might be worth giving them an idea of what you want so you don't end up needing another one too soon. So kind of the family to pitch in. Our parents were very generous with or first too. Not sure they'll be up for doing it all again though.

Still shit at work. I'm sleeping about 4 hours a night with everything running through my head. Could do without all this redundancy crap going on tbh!

TroubleAndFyfe · 08/05/2014 20:19

We got our cot from eBay, £25 with a brand new mattress. It can be assembled without one of the sides (I would guess most can) and the mattress is height adjustable so we had it up against our bed for the first 6 months when he was in with us. Mattresses pushed together and a rolled up towel to fill the gap between his mattress and the cot side. It made it really easy for feeding and settling him during the night. We use a chest of drawers given to us by a friend. It's not a baby-specific one. I used non slip webbing stuff on the top and made a fabric topper with pockets which hang over the sides (think panniers) to hold wipes, creams, etc. and placed a changing mat on top. No idea why a baby would need a wardrobe?

mum2kiss · 08/05/2014 20:32

I have been surprised at the offers we've had from other to buy baby things for us. I thought with this not being my first that people wouldn't bother but they are :)

Glad youve got lots of support puppy

goats im pretty sure I had my 20 week scan whe I was 21 weeks with dc1

Cant remember who confirmed I had got the righr natal cd but thanks for clarifying!

So remember I said we had the outlaws coming on Sunday...well they came, spent the day, had dinner and went home happy (or so I thought)...then the monster in law texts my dp yesterday to tell him she was disappointed with the meal I laid on! He was absolutely livid and had a go at her for being so rude. I didnt really react when he told me last night but ive been thinking about it all day and its really quite upsetting that she would be so mean. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the meal and dp had commented after they left about how nice it was and that Id done well as it was their first time visiting our home and having dinner with us. He was so upset last night and I cant help but think she is trying to drive a wedge between us...its doubly upsetting because ive never done anything wrong to her or her son and he has chosen me to have a family with so why cant she just butt out?! The only saving grace is that they live 70 miles away so I wont have to see them often!

TroubleAndFyfe · 08/05/2014 20:37

Shock mum2kiss how bloody rude. Honestly, who the fuck actually says stuff like that?!
