The classes were ok, i liked the hospital tour and if it's available on the day i think ill ask for the pool room!

The rash is still there especially in the evenings so I've had to turn the heating down. The steroid cream is defo reducing it though. Although they gave me a small tube and it's nearly ran out so im going to see if i can get some more. I think the doc didnt think about how far the amount would go!

I have the same name on instagram feel free to see how mahoosive i am one!! 36 week pic went on today!!

The wind is stupid vicky. It just came out of nowhere! I hope you haven't been anywhere too hot or it will seem even worse! ;)

Vickyvix2 · 14/01/2015 21:57

Oh the hospital your, exciting! I would have loved to have a pool but couldn't because I was induced. Definitely go for it if you can, a couple of friends have used the pool and really rated it.

Your bump looks fab Wood, really not long to go now is it?! I can't wait for news :)

And I love your nursery too, the stripey wall is fab

woodwaj · 15/01/2015 09:35

I'm all for the drugs but the pool does look very appealing. I suppose the room just looks more relaxed and less medical than the rest as well!

37 weeks sunday, but i know he is going to be good and won't make me wait Wink

Ahh thank you! Who knew that frog tape actually worked i was sceptical!

onelifeonechance · 16/01/2015 09:21

Wood, 37 weeks, eep! That's gone so quickly! That means definitely within 5weeks you will be holding your boy Smile and I am sure you are quite right and he will not keep you waiting!
I'm not in Instagram so can't see your pics, but glad to hear you are blooming! Hope the rash is improving too x Will def keep checking in often but seeming as from 37 weeks you are classed as term and he could make his appearance I just want to wish you loads of luck with it all, just keep picturing him in your arms if the going gets tough!

I'm keen on using a pool if I can as I love water/swimming/baths etc. But I've also heard some people saying they thought they'd love it too but once they got it it didn't work for them so they got out pretty quickly! But suppose it's no big deal and its def worth a go as if it works then fabulous Smile

Feeling very keen for my appt next week as desperate to hear the heartbeat for reassurance that all is well. I so can't wait to feel movements in a few weeks so that I know things are ok rather than this constant wondering..... But I'm feeling good, completely normal in fact, no bump still, not expecting one for a bit by the looks of things.

Did any of you do pregnancy yoga??

woodwaj · 16/01/2015 21:54

The steroids have done the trick and the rash is almost gone, it's still itchy but manageable!!

Thanks onelife. Sometimes i feel like he WILL be early but in reality i just feel normal!

My midwife said if you think you want a pool birth then defo say that you do so you get the room if it's available. She said its easier to move out of the room than get it later on if you change your mind! All of the other rooms at the hospital seemed to at least have a bath anyway so it's not too bad if i dont get it. It just looked nicer!

What day is your appointment? That can be a milestone for me to pass right by im sure! Im back to see mine Thursday!

No pregnancy yoga for me, i bought michelle heatons pregnancy dvd. I havent done it much but i do like it.

If your not already moisturising your stomach i would start now too really helps with the itching once you get bigger!

onelifeonechance · 19/01/2015 08:41

Glad the rash is getting better, you don't want to be worrying about that whilst in labour, think you'll have enough going on!

Yes, thanks for the tip about moisturising, I haven't been but think now is a good time to start, before the belly eruption Grin What did you use out of interest? Anything special or just usual moisturiser? Have you got Stretchmarks? I'm fully expecting to get some as had some growing up so think my skin is sadly prone Hmm

Appt Wed, will be glad for it to be here, I want to hear that heartbeat! Hope yours goes well too. I still can't believe how close you are!!!!!

woodwaj · 19/01/2015 09:34

I have the mum and me bump cream but i think any will do if you already have some! But your right i was prone so i think its just tough luck i am covered in them! Sad

Now the baby is engaged they have reduced a lot so im hoping for a quick disappearance once he is out!!

I recorded my first heartbeat on the whatsapp recorder i still have it :) my midwife also guessed the sex from the heartbeat and got it right!

onelifeonechance · 22/01/2015 08:01

One little heartbeat heard boom boom booming away yesterday Grin

And I've stocked up on coconut oil for the old tum, it's smells delish! So even if it doesn't work I love it already Smile Know I'm going to be the same though Wood and will be covered, hope yours clear off v soon, what's the saying, you've earnt your tiger stripes, be proud!

Also booked pregnancy yoga yst, start at 21 weeks just cos of how the classes fall. It's all go!

Hope your appt goes well today Wood and glad to hear he is engaged and assuming the correct position Wink

Broody, know you've got your hands full but we're still thinking of you and hoping all is well Smile

Hello and waving to V and mini V Smile

woodwaj · 23/01/2015 10:09

Thats brill onelife. I love hearing the heartbeat! I presume your next midwife appointment is a while away now so are we just on the countdown to the 20 week scan?

My appointment was fine thanks she was behind so it was a bit rushed but all was as it should be!

I seem to have picked up a cold from somewhere so im feeling mighty sorry for myself this morning. Anyone that sniffs near me will be getting the evil eye!!!

Defo thinking of you broody. Waiting on an exciting update telling me how easy it all is Wink

Vickyvix2 · 23/01/2015 22:58

Yey for hearing the heartbeat One!! How amazing. Glad the scan went well. Do you have the long wait now until 20 weeks? I couldn't hack it and had a private one at 17 weeks.

Glad the rash is all sorted Wood, and pleased to hear baby is engaged. He's on his way too meet you!!! Agree if you want the pool then tell them early on so they can get you that room if available. Sorry to hear you've picked up a cold too, that sucks, hope it's not a bad one.

Broody, I hope you are enjoying those precious newborn cuddles and that everything is going well. Have been thinking of you

We've got colds here too, feeling pretty bunged up and so is mini V but otherwise all Ok :)

Vickyvix2 · 23/01/2015 23:00

Oh and One, can also recommend mum and me stretch mark cream, I lathered it on daily! I though it had worked but I have one pesky mark that stayed behind :( it was hardly visible when I was pregnant but once I had had mini v it went really dark and is a purple/red colour.....attractive!

Yoga will be great, I didn't do it though.

woodwaj · 27/01/2015 13:56

Oh god vicky don't be talking about stretch marks getting worse afterwards!! I presumed it could only get better! :(

I am past caring now though I think especially as today is national chocolate cake day!!

If she said all she could feel was his jawline do You know how engaged that would make the baby?

onelifeonechance · 28/01/2015 08:24

Wood, just being able to feel his jawline sounds good to me! That's a lot of his head she can't feel and the nearer he is to the necessary exit the better Grin

Thanks ladies, yes I'm on the countdown to the 20 week scan now. Still waiting for the appt though Hmm they don't rush these things! But the good news is I am starting to get a bump! Not very noticeable to others yet but it is definitely emerging Smile And I THINK I can feel movements! Little tiny bubbly flutters, completely amazing, I am totally in love with this little thing already Smile

Grr to pesky Stretchmarks V, but I suppose it's a no pain no gain kind of scenario! I'll keep slathering on the cream though just in case!!

Wood I hope the cold has cleared off and that you celebrated national chocolate cake day in style Grin

woodwaj · 01/02/2015 22:22

How many weeks are you now? I'd have thought you would have had a date for that now. I think mine was arranged during my 12 week scan!

The first movements are lovely! I thought it was a bit like a pull or a twang! If that makes sense? I could never tell when he had hiccups for ages. Now its that obvious and frequent i am expecting that to continue when he arrives!

I am ready for the baby now. I literally feel like i am going to explode there is no more room in my belly!!

onelifeonechance · 02/02/2015 16:03

Just turned 18 weeks and yes I agree, I'm sure they do have the bloomin appointment booked, they are just slooooooow at sending it out! I wouldn't mind but I kind of want to minimise disruption to work (I know I'm legally entitled to go but would just like to help my team out by planning a bit. But at this rate I know it's going to be slap bang in the middle of something important and I will end up landing someone in it by not being around!) But my main thing is I JUST WANT TO KNOW because it's so exciting!!!! Grin

Aw bless you, how many weeks/days are you now? I just can't imagine what it feels like, hang in there, not long to go now! Have you packed your bag? And planned your route? Smile Wood, you're going to hold your baby very soon!!!!!

woodwaj · 02/02/2015 16:44

Id maybe give them a ring soon a push in the right direction id expect to know by now and if they have forgot it makes sure it gives them a bit of time to fit you in when it should be! I booked the day off for all my scans but that was personal preference. Midwife etc i used my allowed time off as normal!

I am 39+1 ill go and take a pic in a min i am bursting at the seams! I have a sudden thirst that i can't quench its so annoying i have no room for food and drink so I'm just making myself uncomfy! Id still say no signs though!! Hospital is ten minutes down the road mummy daddy and baby all have their own bags ready and waiting!! Maybe if i unpack them he might decide to come out! Hmm

woodwaj · 02/02/2015 17:48

Get out!!!!!

Not so new and not so expert!
onelifeonechance · 02/02/2015 21:11

Oh Lordy iswym, that is quite a bump! (I'm jealous!) Envy Completely know I won't be when I get to that point!! You can remind me of this!
Def time to come out now little wood, your poor mummy can't stretch anymore! Come out to play, it's more fun out here anyway Smile Hope he's listening to me!! You tell him to listen to his aunty onelife Smile xxx

woodwaj · 02/02/2015 21:56

Its massive and he is engaged i bet he is going to be a porker!! I have breezed through this laughing at the people who are uncomfy and peeing every 30 seconds and i am now one of those people haha. Thats karma!! I keep hoping he will take the hint when the narrator on big brother shouts evicted every day... guess the weight?! Ha

onelifeonechance · 03/02/2015 08:10

Am I allowed to know how tall you are? It will help with my guesstimate (I'm taking this seriously!) Smile

woodwaj · 03/02/2015 10:23

Oh yeah i am the worlds smallest at 5"2!

onelifeonechance · 04/02/2015 08:15

Right well in that case I'm going to plump for 7lb 3oz Smile Can't wait to see if I'm close!
Ha we would look hilarious standing next to each other as I am practically 6ft!!!! Grin

I've just discovered the joys of maternity tights, ah and breathe........Smile

woodwaj · 04/02/2015 23:49

Get maternity leggings!! Best thing ever!!

Oh...and you were a little out. Baby woodwaj is a mahoosive 8lb 6 born at 3pm today!! I'm still in hospital unsure when i can go home! I will save the birth story for another day!!

onelifeonechance · 05/02/2015 18:53

OMG!!!!!! Wood!! Grin HUGE congratulations!!!! Love how you just dropped that in there Shock Yes please tell all when you're able to. But in the meantime enjoy every single second of being a mummy to your brand new baby boy xxx He is clearly very obedient and listened to us both telling him he needed to get a wriggle on out of there!

Eeeeeee, sooooooooo exciting!!!!! Yeay!!!!!

Last one standing Smile xxx

PS I am clearly crap at weight predictions!

woodwaj · 06/02/2015 04:08

So i can't remember the last time i slept haha. I think this is my life now?

Contractions started at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening. I thought i had just overdone it at first but by 11pm there was defo a rhythm to them. I phoned the hospital at midnight when i had a show and she basically told me to hang on as long as possible. I gave up and rang back at 3am to ask if they would see me. She said yes but could tell she thought she would be sending me home. Got to the hospital around 4.30 assessed at 5am and was 3cm by 9am i was 10cm! I got in the pool which was a great relief but i think it then had a hand to play in slowing my contractions down. After a good few hours they died off on their own and i ended up in surgery we had a failed vontouse and forceps delivery in the end. The theatre was scary but i got my gorgeous boy at the end of it and even though i was asking for a section i am glad i didnt have one! And if it helps i am a massive wuss and i actually found contractions a lot easier than i thought on pretty much gas and air!!
