New thread ladies. I should really leave it to someone who can link the old one. Can someone add the edd list and whatnot? Or maybe we should start again now edds are changing after scan.

NotInYourNature · 09/04/2014 17:58

Oh right....
if i was offered a nuchal or harmony i would say no anyway but i do think it should be offered for the people that want to know that info.
Im sure we will catch up with the rest of the world one day

STIGZ · 09/04/2014 18:01

Me23 · 09/04/2014 19:26

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.
I heard baby's heartbeat today had a listen in at work found it straight away nice clear strong hb :-) 13+4 today.
Having curry tonight yum!

TroubleAndFyfe · 09/04/2014 21:02

Lovely scan news! Nice to be able to listen in at work me23! I was going to ask you, what was the name of the film you recommended? I watched Ina May's film birth story the other night, was great. Smile

fatpony · 09/04/2014 21:54

Ohthegoats - thanks very much for your exercise guidance. Didn't have a chance to catch up with the thread until just now!

Had scan today, very exciting - looked like a little T-rex, it was facing down and wouldn't stay still! EDD 16th October :)

Me23 · 09/04/2014 21:54

Hi trouble I think I recommended the business of being born? Came out in 2008 made by ricki lake.

I don't feel so sick anymore but still quite tired off to bed now, haven't been sleeping well lately keep tossing and turning then waking up to pee.

Bumpforme2014 · 10/04/2014 07:03

Morning guys, another crap nights sleep for me is anyone else waking constantly with hunger and need to pee? To be honest I think hunger is waking me then I realise I need pee. What can I do about it, I've tried eating a banana when I wake but as I'm waking every two hours I can't keep eating through the night, it's annoying me now been going on for weeks :-(

MrsF2510 · 10/04/2014 07:41

Bumpforme - see I feel your pain a little. I get to sleep fine and then wake up around 4 needing a wee. I then go bit am awake and then tossing and turning makes me so hungry I feel sick!

Btw my scan went well, though my EDD is now 9th Oct. little thing moved A LOT at first which was incredible. DH didn't really expect it to look so much like a baby which was quite good as he has been quite uninterested in the pregnancy so far. Oh and though my scan was later than most 13 wks and 5 days they think they could tell the sex. Oh and so could I!! DH wants it to be a surprise tho so can't tell anyone and am not going to tell family and friends I know otherwise people will still ask and then there is more of a chance of a slip up!!! Not a particularly emotional kind of person, but I thought it was pretty lovely and couldn't take my eyes off the screen - makes it so much more real! Good luck for anybody else having scans this week!!

Kirstipops · 10/04/2014 07:55

bump that sounds rubbish :( Maybe you'll need to try nibbling on something more substantial than fruit to fill you up for longer, like crackers and cheese or something? Your insatiable appetite will tail off eventually so don't worry too much about weight gain or anything, if your bod is hungry you gotta listen ;)
Wow MrsF, imagine knowing the sex at a 13+5 week scan!

TroubleAndFyfe · 10/04/2014 08:23

Great news fatpony and mrsf! Smile
Thanks me23 I'll give it a watch!
Me23 and bump I realise this may sound silly but if I listen to the Hypnobirthing relaxation whilst going to sleep (I'm usually asleep after 10 mins) then I sleep all night and only have to get up to pee when DH gets up at 6.45. I suppose it might be coincidence but it's a pretty consistent one! May be worth a try?

Me23 · 10/04/2014 08:35

I think I'll have to give the relaxation dc a try which one is it trouble I had another night of not much sleep. Luckily I'm not working today and Ds is in nursery I feel so cranky and emotional because of exhaustion. Going to Truro get back to sleep now.

Me23 · 10/04/2014 08:37

Haha relaxation dc, if only!

TroubleAndFyfe · 10/04/2014 08:45

The rainbow relaxation here: archive.org/details/HypnoBirthing I play the VBR MP3 on my phone. I hope it works for you, worked for me last pregnancy too.

LondonJen · 10/04/2014 10:54

That sounds so lovely me23

Wow about the gender MrsF. Your EDD is day after mine Smile

Sorry bump that sounds pants. I am waking for the loo but not hunger. Tho the only thing that staved off my hunger/sickness was carbs so maybe crackers or breadsticks would help?

We're going to tell dp's parents in person this weekend. I have so much work to do today but am a bit excited so really just want to laze around and pack! I hope they don't go on about us not being married/planning to get married. I will get vexed and lately I am super-pregnant-vexed where I would normal just be a tad cross!

akachan · 10/04/2014 12:14

Hello all. Great re: all the good scans!

I just had my booking in, was fine. Midwife was lovely and I'm low risk except a family history thing that means I need to see a consultant but they don't seem too worried.

My scan is Monday. The waiting is impossible!!!

pebble82 · 10/04/2014 12:54

Finally akachan!!

Keep busy this weekend to make time go quicker. I have a second scan tomorrow to take NT measurements as they couldn't do it last time. Wish it was in the morning but got to wait until 12.20. I'll be somewhere between 13 and 14 weeks so hoping the pic is clearer this time (was 10+6 at last scan)

Loulou888 · 10/04/2014 13:24

I've got my scan tomorrow pebble. They gave me all of 2 days notice! At least I've finally got it.

Loulou888 · 10/04/2014 13:25

Oh and I'm at 12.15!

pebble82 · 10/04/2014 14:33

I'll be thinking of you loulou when I'm wriggling in the waiting room needing a wee.

It's silly but I'm now a bit anxious in case things aren't still ok. No reason why they wouldn't be but sort of regretting telling the world now. Oops, oh well I can't unsay it.

Loulou888 · 10/04/2014 15:58

I know I can't stand the pressure on your tummy when you need a wee! I hope all will be okay for us. Fx

diamondbutterfly · 10/04/2014 16:23

Lovely to hear all scan news.

Maybe it varies from hospital to hospital but I wasn't required to have a full bladder. With dc1 nothing was mentioned about full bladder, they did include information about confirming your UK status bizarrely!

robindeer · 10/04/2014 17:03

Busy day for scans tomorrow! Mine's at 11.30, I am so nervous and excited. The last day or so I've been getting odd pains around my groin and in my abdomen and I keep getting anxious that I'm cramping. No blood though so hoping it's nothing to be concerned about. I will be 11+6 for the scan so relatively early. I am absolutely desperate to see a healthy baby in there, so far this just doesn't seem real! I know logically I can't be imagining it though, my nausea, massive, sore boobs and bump keep reassuring me!

tak1ngchances · 10/04/2014 17:06

Think I am a total wuss. Have STILL got morning sickness (well all-day sickness really) and went in to work late today because I was feebling around at home for so long this morning.
When I got to work I literally went to the first loo that I found and threw up then went to Occ Health to lie down.
Am now back home again. Come on, I am 14 weeks today and was expecting to feel the magical 2nd trimester energy and glow.
Do you think I just need to get over myself or is it perfectly acceptable to be wallowing around at home this much?

tak1ngchances · 10/04/2014 17:09

PS it is so lovely to hear all the good news from the scans (and see pics on facebook). Best of luck to everyone who's going for a scan soon!
