New thread ladies. I should really leave it to someone who can link the old one. Can someone add the edd list and whatnot? Or maybe we should start again now edds are changing after scan.

Yeah mine is very low but i'm not even 12 weeks yet.
I cant wait to feel the wriggles again, my ds was sooo wriggly

pebble82 · 08/04/2014 21:54

Jealous of your wriggly babies. I haven't felt mine yet. Suppose I'm only 13 wks ish so might have to wait a while longer.

Binglesplodge · 08/04/2014 22:13

I'm looking forward to the wiggles too! Baby was very active during the 12 week scan so it's strange to know that's all going on and I can't feel it...

Anyone got a bump yet? I still look exactly the same and am secretly disappointed there's nothing to see!

Kirstipops · 08/04/2014 22:16

Are the Dopplers quite easy to work then? If a midwife uses one on me I'll maybe watch and decide from then whether to get one of my own! I also haven't felt any movement yet, (tho this is my first) not sure if the anterior placenta will maybe delay feeling it as well?

Kirstipops · 08/04/2014 22:18

Yes Bingles I'm definitely sporting a bump now, seems to have come on really quickly as well, since about 13ish weeks.

NotInYourNature · 08/04/2014 22:31

I have the podge that comes just before bump so i just look like i ate all the pies.
I found the doppler so easyto use

pebble82 · 08/04/2014 22:37

Slight bump that wasn't there at the weekend. Anyone see Holly Willoughby last night on Michael McIntyre? She must be over 20weeks as she said she could have found out the sex but she didn't have much of a bump at all.

mum2kiss · 09/04/2014 07:18

I thought holly Willoughby was due September time? Maybe she is having private scans so can find out earlier than we would on the good old nhs...she may have had the Harmony test too...

I have quite a sizeable bump now...This week ut has firmed up a lot. Im 13+3...

Got my nuchal test results yesterday which say we're low risk with a 1 in 3800 chance of the baby having downs...

still has my weight listed as 10kgs more than I weighed last week though! Grrrr!

ExcitedCJ · 09/04/2014 07:53

Hello all, booking in appt & scan at lunch time today. My DH can't come as he has meeting so I have to take my potty training toddler by myself! Wish me luck!! Last time it was nearly 3 hours wait, fingers crossed they have their processes sorted out a little this time.

Bumpforme2014 · 09/04/2014 08:27

I just have fat, normally have a flat stomach and now it's all wide and wobbley so disappointing I want a firm bump but guess it's coming. I am 13+4 now so can't be too far away. Doppler is so easy to use you just have to be patient and recognise difference between your heartbeat and babies. I doubt I will get the nuchal blood test results my hospital is ridiculous for test results you never hear anything unless something is wrong, how long did it take to come mum2kiss?

magichandles · 09/04/2014 09:05

Oh gosh, good luck Excited - I've managed to get my friend to take my two for my scan on Monday so we can concentrate - to be honest I reckon DD (4.5) would be fine but DS (2.5) is a nightmare.

I'm 11+6 and have a flabby bump in the morning and it definitely firms but by the end of the day. Still in normal jeans though, it's pretty high up.

ExcitedCJ · 09/04/2014 09:38

Thanks Magic!

On looking for my Medical card I just found my Nucal Trans results from DD & my maternal weight. I am same weight as I was last time at same time, which worries me as DD was 9lbs 12oz! Whopper!

mum2kiss · 09/04/2014 10:05

bump I had my test.last tuesday so it took exactly a week to come back...they were sent out of town to Oxford too so I think thats pretty quick...

binkybunny · 09/04/2014 11:06

Hi all, good luck for those with scans today! Sorry not had chance to read back yet but need to ask a quick question.

Just had a meeting at work, as I have been off sick a few times. That was all ok, but i have been told that only my scans and hospital appointments can be taken in hospital time. My midwife antenatal appointments, which are held at my GP surgery have to be taken in my own time or I have to make my time back.

I'm sure I have read in the info from the midwives that any antenatal appointment has to be covered by the company and they are not allowed to ask you to make time back. Does anyone know any more info about this, and if I'm right what do I do about it?

TroubleAndFyfe · 09/04/2014 11:19

You're definitely right binky. You can even go to antenatal classes etc. in work time. You're entitled to time off for all pregnancy related appointments. Have you requested a copy (or can you look it up on your work intranet) of your employer's maternity policy? All of your entitlements should be listed.

LondonJen · 09/04/2014 11:30

I have a bump bingle I didn't even recognise it for what it was at first because I wasn't expecting it to appear so early (was at 11something). But I am little so maybe that's why. Am 14 weeks now and I swear it's only growing out and not up! Then I still have the huge bloat from belly button up, which doesn't seem to be going anywhere and makes me look way more pregnant than I am!

Glad to hear you're low risk mum2 we didn't receive a high risk phone call so just waiting for letter to confirm all is well.

Good luck excited!

Binky I'm sure I saw a thread recently about this and lots of people said employers have to let you have the time off and can't ask you to make it up.

binkybunny · 09/04/2014 11:30

I read through them last week as our policy handbook got updated and it says antenatal care is included in work time. It was the HR Manager that told me I have to make time up for the classes. I'm not sure how to go forward. It feels awkward getting pregnant on a maternity leave contract!

Loulou888 · 09/04/2014 11:51

You need to be straight with hr binky and point out the literature. Sounds like they are trying it on. My work even let me go to the odd antenatal class x

binkybunny · 09/04/2014 12:31

Thanks all for confirming what I thought. Wasn't sure if may be baby brain was kicking in already and I had made it all up in my head! I'll bring my copy of the policy in and arrange a meeting. Wish I had been a bit more organised this morning and said something, but I was doubting myself a bit.

On the bump front, I have a definite bump and I'm 13+5. Mine starts just below my boobs and goes right down. It's nice to actually have a bit more of a proper looking bump than just fat now Smile

Kirstipops · 09/04/2014 13:46

Yes you definitely don't have to make time up for antenatal appointments, even my meanie work gives me that! If it's non-natal I would have to make up my time for docs appointments but not hospital appointments, so maybe your HR person has just got it mixed up with something like that??
My nuchal results only took a week as well.

Cherie037 · 09/04/2014 13:57

Had my scan this morning everything is going smoothly and I am exactly 12 weeks today so my EDD is the 22 October.

Sad news is a pair of trousers that fit me fine last week no longer fit today Sad. I didn't think my bump was that big!!!

ExcitedCJ · 09/04/2014 16:04

Yay! Everything went fine, measuring 12+4 & LO doing headstands when the Doc was trying to measure.
My DD was totally awesome & was so well behaved for the entire time (2.5hrs). She even went to the potty twice to do a pee & managed a poo too. The wonders of Princess Polly's Potty book & a fantastic My Carry Potty. Thanks Sazzle for the suggestions and everyone else that supported that tough stage of potty training. Just Harmony results in a week & then I might start to relax. :)

tak1ngchances · 09/04/2014 17:21

Excellent news ExcitedCJ and with the potty and everything sounds like a great day! Congrats on all fronts.

NotInYourNature · 09/04/2014 17:39

You guys are all getting test iv never even heard of...what the harmony test?
Iv heard of the nuchal but it has never been offered and didn't have it with ds.

I don't meet with anyone till June apart from my gp who just takes my pee and blood pressure till then.
I wish we had 12 week scans, better testing and better birthing options here :(

Kirstipops · 09/04/2014 17:40

Yay glad you had a successful time Excited!
I've eventually got around to ordering the Natal hypnotherapy DVD, I'd read it can even help ease high blood pressure which interested me as mine is on the high end of normal so I want to avoid my mum's experience of frequent week long hospital stays involving mandatory bed rest when she was preggo with me! Im not overweight, eat healthily and I'm fit, not sure what else I can do to avoid high bp?
