Here's some advice for you all: don't read the thread about 'stupid things people say to pregnant women'! I'm slightly traumatised by the mmc, bad 20wk scans and stillbirth stories

I thought it would be quite funny but it's just heartbreaking mostly. I'm desperate for my scan. Come on Friday, hurry up!

Sorry- my last post reads in a horribly selfish way. All I really wanted to say was don't read that thread. I'm really terrified anxious and have been actively avoiding Google/pregnancy books etc. Every week I haven't bled I allow myself to read the pregnancy week by week description on here for where I'm up to.

Sparkle9 I had bleeding in my last pregnancy, I went for my usual 2 hour wee and when I looked down my knickers were covered in blood. My DH rushed me to emergency as I was only 14 weeks and I was terrified something had happened. I had a scan and they said everything was fine as my cervix was still closed. I did continue to spot for a few weeks but then it stopped. They were never able to give me a reason of why it happened but everything was fine. I know its hard to relax when its happening to you but think happy thoughts!

I go for my 12 week scan tomorrow so I am a bit anxious myself! I think I finally over the nausea, I went and did a spin class last night for the first time in 3 weeks, it felt good but my legs are KILLING me!!!

Sparkle you should go it will take your mind off things. I think you only need to worry if its bright red and period cramps.

Well ladies...scan all good here...EDD changed to 16th October but I'm expecting this one to appear around 26th oct, given my previous track record..

But is a wriggly little bean & only one in there (sigh of relief!).. Need to now get my head around the fact this is all real now & I'll have 3 under 4 come October...eek!

Just waiting to tell work this afternoon now..

I finally have a scan date for Friday.

This nuchal test is different to when I had dc2. Will I also have a blood test at the hospital?

Sorry for being silent for a week or so: the NT measurement of 3.3 (and all the things I stupidly read on the internet!) made me panic and I didn't really feel like joining in until I knew what would happen with the combined risk factor.

Thankfully the letter has arrived this morning placing us in the low risk group with 1:400, so I've updated my EDD on the list to match the dating scan measurement (2 days earlier than we thought at 14th Oct). Hope I haven't missed too much fun and games!

Sparkle my boobs haven't hurt for a few weeks now (amd 13+6) but they are still mahoosive! Sorry to hear you're having a hard time, not long now till your scan.

I think so Loulou my blood was taken right after my scan.

I am feeling almost normal today. I had forgotten what that was like! I do hope this is the start of the 2nd trimester energy I keep reading about.

I thought i had joined but now i don't think i did.

My ds is 13 months old

Whoever mentioned he bad lingering after taste in their mouth I am right there with you! Mine must have started week 5-6 and its still here! Its so gross! Ive eaten my body weight in glacier mints and I chew gum as often as I can! Yuck! I had it with dc1 I just can't remember at what point it went away!

I'm 15+2 today and my boobs haven't been sore for weeks either sparkle, nausea was gone when I was about your stage too, hopefully the days won't drag too much til your scan and it'll set your mind at rest.
I feel like I've started to feel more human again the last two weeks, maybe only a couple of days out of a week where I feel tired, uncomfortable and like my insides are being rearranged!! Got a camping trip with the family this weekend, can't wait to chill out for a bit, the beach is calling! Good luck for your scan tomorrow Cherie!

Oh yes i heard the babies heartbeat with my doppler last night. Forgot how amazing it is

Oh wow I'd love that Notinyournature! Im wondering if the midwife will use one at my 16 week appointment on Monday? Won't buy one myself as knowing me I won't work it properly and will end up worrying needlessly because I can't hear a heartbeat!

I'm not a big worrier so bought one on my first DC.
When i told my gp i had one and heard the heartbeat at 11 weeks he didn't believe me...possibly because his was from the 1920's

I'm a not a big worrier either so have been tempted to get one, sounds lovely! I have a very wriggly baby though, kicking and turning about so much this evening, it's absolutely great, I sort of feel like I don't need to hear it too.
I've finally been able to drop my daytime nap so can enjoy DS's nap time once more!
PGP is here right on cue not able to walk for more than 5 mins without a lot of pain which is annoying but expected.

Yes I listened to bubbas heartbeat this evening as well, took longer to find it this time for some reason. Still very low down, hasn't moved up yet? My sonographer was surprised we could hear it at 12 weeks as well.
