New thread ladies. I should really leave it to someone who can link the old one. Can someone add the edd list and whatnot? Or maybe we should start again now edds are changing after scan.

Oh my goodness congrats wiggy!

hefner · 02/04/2014 15:05

Congratulations on all the scan news. We've told family and work now, so it feels more real. We told 2 year old DD first and she enjoyed telling her grandparents that mummy has a baby in her tummy! I went to mothercare on my lunch break and looked at the cute little clothes, I'm getting really excited!

Stargirl7 · 02/04/2014 15:06

Congrats Wiggy!! What a blessing :)

Have scan tomorrow at 5...cannot concentrate on anything am so terrified...

Loopylu84 · 02/04/2014 15:27

Wow congrats Wiggy!! Our scan is tomorrow at 9-can't wait! Grin

CareBearWithFangs · 02/04/2014 15:56

Just watched yesterday's one born, I am now a sobbing wreck!

CellyD · 02/04/2014 16:42

Congratulations wiggy! Good scan for us. We came back at 1:498 for Downs so low risk.

Our hospital are running a clinical trial to show that the harmony test should be available to everyone not just those who can afford to pay for it. The sample size is all willing Mums with a risk rating of 1:1000 or under, so we get the harmony test for free, hopefully another layer of assurance.

pebble82 · 02/04/2014 16:49

Wow wiggy! Congrats :-)

Tiredness has hit me like a train today so off for a nap. Struggled to drive home from work! Zzzzzz.

binkybunny · 02/04/2014 16:57

wiggy congrats on the twins! And to celly on a good scan!

Thanks all for the hypnobirthing info will speak to the lady that runs it and find out. I didnt want her to think I was crazy making enquiries at 12 weeks if its normal to wait until nearer the time!

Just been to the docs as I thought I had a urune infection. Looks like dehydration as I am struggling to keep liquid down. Going to force Ribena and cranberry juice by the bucket load down my neck now and hope it stays down :-(

ToffeeJungle · 02/04/2014 17:08

Wow, congrats wiggy! Twins hey?! Double the excitement!!

We had our scan today - one very healthy, wriggly baby! So relieved!! Good strong heartbeat, 1 head, 2 arms & 2 legs!!! Smile
Measured at 13 weeks so that brings EDD forward 3 days to 8th October.

Also got weighed and I've put on 10lbs already!!!!! Shock

FlipFantasia · 02/04/2014 17:21

Wiggy wow, congrats on twins!!

And great to hear of the other good scans. I also love hearing of harmony trials - it would be great to have it on the NHS (thinking it would save on costs of amnios as false positives so much lower so A Good Thing).

Kirstipops · 02/04/2014 17:33

Yay to happy scans today! Twins too, fantastic!!
*Toffee# I think I had gained about the same at 10 weeks! Think it was because I was eating anything and everything to stop the nausea! I still have a healthy appetite at 14+4 but it's definitely calmed down thank goodness!

MummyV18 · 02/04/2014 17:41

Hello all Smile if there's room for another I'm due 30th October Smile I'm 9+6 today and this will be DC2 and I'm 29 Smile I'm not having any symptoms really apart from a bit tired & I've had a few pains over the last 2 days still think I'll go to the scan and they'll tell me there is nothing there lol

mum2kiss · 02/04/2014 17:53

Congrats on twins wiggy!!!

Ive been comparing 12 week scan notes with my sis. Where its supposed to give details of the placenta a d amniotic fluid mine is blank...it says the crown to rump length of my.baby is 66.8 mm which is says is greater than the 95th percentile for a 12+2 fetus (my first baby was 25th percentile and I am petite)...

I have no faith in the details she has recorded...all this along with the falsified bmi is just.making me worry! What if my baby is actually older than she has recorded? My sisters baby measures almost 20mm less than mine which again makes me think my baby is older! Are any you able to say what the crown to rump length of.your babies are? I dont know whether I am right to worry about the accuracy of my.notes or not!

KensalM2B · 02/04/2014 18:01

Hi all! Been MIA for the last few weeks as I have been properly poorly... all day nausea, relentless hunger, headaches, terminal tiredness... etc. I've just about been able to make it through a 12 hour work day, but that is feeling very old. Akachan any luck with trying a new schedule?

Funny to hear so many people off meat - me too! I'm basically vegetarian now... although a little worried about iron.

Scan on Friday - Can't wait!!!

takingchances I totally empathise! Poor thing. There is no glamour in this whole thang, is there? The list of embarrassing/unfortunate/regrettable/will-be-hilarious-in-hindsight incidences I have endured these past couple months is staggering. Vomiting into my scarf on the Heathrow Express at 6am on Monday morning, to the visible disgust of suited fellow travellers, included.

Anyone else consuming oranges and mandarins by the ton???

Kirstipops · 02/04/2014 18:24

mum2kiss at my scan I was 13+2 and 71.6mm crown to rump measurement. Im afraid I don't really know about percentiles but since you're talking builds I'm 5ft 3 and medium build if that helps?? My NHS Scotland case notes don't have a part to record amniotic fluid though it does say I have an anterior placenta, and a tick box to say I had the NT measurement but no note of what it was.

TroubleAndFyfe · 02/04/2014 18:24

Congratulations toffee and wiggy! Great news! I'm doing the rainbow relaxation every night already, it's brilliant for getting a good nights sleep. I got away pretty much with just the book and CD as only had time for the first class (of 6 I think it was- we hired a teacher privately as there weren't any classes locally). I'll just use the CD this time.

Here's a link to the Marie Mongan Rainbow Relaxation and birth affirmations archive.org/details/HypnoBirthing where you can listen for free - this is all you get on the CD so you can use this to practice the relaxation before getting the book and CD when you start your courses.

TroubleAndFyfe · 02/04/2014 18:30

Mum2kiss I was 12+6, 66.2mm, NT 2.30mm. We're both average height and build.

Bumpforme2014 · 02/04/2014 18:57

Hi all, I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and I'm actually looking forward to this one unlike the last one. I listened to babies heartbeat on a Doppler last night and it was very reassuring, I highly recommend it and you can get cheap ones on internet.

Congrats on twins wiggy, that's a blessing and so nice to have twins on this thread.

I'm slowly feeling better although I did throw up in my hand this morning because didn't make it to toilet, damn sensitive gag reflex I didn't even know it was coming until it was all over me and the floor.

Wiggy29 · 02/04/2014 19:08

Told parents that we're expecting two, Dad was dead excited, mum went pale and sat down! She was excited after but know her reaction wasn't negative, think she's just aware of how tough it may be at first, especially as dc2 only just 1 and will still need a pushchair? Thinkinking one baby in baby Bjorn and two in double buggy?

Advice please: we see dh's parents Friday in person but are worried to tell them as they are likely to make a negative comment and don't want dc1 (9) to hear anything bad. Thinking we may just tell them over phone tonight when dc1 in bed so they have a couple of days to prepare a happy face before Friday? What do you guys think?

Captainmcgraw · 02/04/2014 19:10

Congratulations on all the happy scan news and, wow, twins - that's very exciting news!

Perhaps a bit premature seeing as people are still having dating scans but anyone got date through for 20 week yet? Mine's 15th May and I'm already counting down - so impatient this pregnancy.

In other news have still got a horrible cold and feeling very very faint with it. Has anyone else experienced this? I suppose it's just the difficulty breathing and all that nose blowing. Hospital also said my blood pressure is on the low side so could be partly that I suppose.

Captainmcgraw · 02/04/2014 19:13

Sorry Wiggle, cross post. Yes telling the, on the phone might be good. That way they have time to get over shock and prepare all their happy vibes for when they see you. That said, when my DH told his mum on phone it took her a good twenty minutes of... But she's just started a job, on antidepressants blah blah until she remembered to say congratulations!

Wiggy29 · 02/04/2014 19:13

I had low blood pressure for a bit with dc2 and felt very faint/ exhausted. Lasted from about 15-18 weeks and had to be signed off work for it.

Can someone add the Facebook link again please?

Captainmcgraw · 02/04/2014 19:15

Sorry for calling you wiggle, wiggy!
