So I got a stupidly early faint positive today at 9dpo when I should definitely know better after a chemical last month. According to the Calendar I'm due December 1st so I've decided to be massively optimistic and start this thread. Is there anybody put there?

Last night's weird Mumsnet lost my post. Argh.

What was I saying.....hmmm...???

Nausea was really cranked up high on Weds but has calmed down to manageable levels now. Making sure I don't get really hungry helps. Even just munching an apple or yoghurt or something to take the hunger pangs away.

I can't name check coz I'm on my phone, but am really feeling for the lady who vommed in the bag and train. You poor thing!!! Make sure you stay hydrated. If you're vomming to the point of not keeping anything down then you might want to see the GP.

That was meant for Bubbly Smile

Ladylel · 12/04/2014 16:02

Wow my emotions have gone through the roof today -watching sex and the city movie and I'm in floods!

Vicky5910 · 12/04/2014 16:46

Bubbly how awful to puke in your handbag! Poor you! Did you keep the handbag?

Minion · 12/04/2014 17:08

4.3 here and I've barfed twice! This is starting early and there was me thinking all my symptoms had died down. Thankfully I managed to salvage my handbag tho. Poor bubbly

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 12/04/2014 19:34

PolytheneGirl · 12/04/2014 19:39

I'm exhausted too! I don't remember being this tired this early last time! I have no idea how I'm going to make it through the Easter holidays!

SassehMonsta · 12/04/2014 19:54

Honestly Im shattered! 5 weeks today and my husbands telling me not to be daft - I've pretty much taken the dog out twice, both to training, slept in between, then slept since I got in. Planning a disturbed night as husband working till midnight and needs a lift home. Better get used to it!!

Really trying to get on top of the dogs training as we've let it slip recently and hes started pulling lots. As Im the main walker this cant continue for much longer! Now out twice on a Saturday for training, and usually out at least once in a Sunday for a social walk. Infact out twice tomorrow - oof.

2 weeks yesterday until our early scan, which is do-able.

Ladylel · 12/04/2014 21:21

I am exhausted and done sweet fa. Tried napping today but was disturbed, now in bed just after 9 on a Saturday night. Can't keep by eyes open and the nausea is hitting me in waves. Already burst into tears with the OH for no reason. Tiredness and tears = totes emosh wreck! Night all!

Shanels · 12/04/2014 21:25

Hi all
I've just spend the whole day in A&E...had brown spotting but after a 6 hour wait I got a blood test and an appointment for a Tuesday scan with strict instructions to stay in bed until then. Has anyone else experienced this? I was so anxious that my blood pressure and heart beat went through the roof so that got them concerned too...
I'm sorry to put a downer on things- I really don't want anyone else to be upset or worried but I just need some advice? This is my first.
Sx

PolytheneGirl · 12/04/2014 21:33

Oh no Shanels are you ok? I can't really help or offer any advice but I'm happy to hold your hand while you wait. I hope your OH is looking after you Thanks

SassehMonsta · 12/04/2014 21:42

oh shanels bless you - my friend went in last week with brown spotting and pain at about 5-6 weeks, turns out she had a UTI. Fingers crossed everythings OK for you!

and congrats lisas! :)

Shanels · 12/04/2014 22:14

Thank you Polythene and Sasseh! My husband is looking after me well and my mum was at the hospital with me so I'm very lucky. I'm just finding it hard to adapt to all this- just promoted so should be at work on Mon and can't; will have to be resting for 3 days but checking my knickers every hour wondering....it's all too scary. X

ImBrian · 12/04/2014 22:23

Shanels I had brown spotting with my first at about 5 weeks. Mentioned it to the doc and he just said it was really common and not to worry. Fingers crossed it's just one of those things and alls fine.

I'm 7 weeks and not spewing yet so I'm hoping I might avoid it. I feel pretty sick on and off but it's manageable most of the time. I'm ratty as hell though!

Fingers crosses imBrian thank you!

Shanels · 12/04/2014 22:34

Sorry meant 'crossed'

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 12/04/2014 22:38

Oh Shanel, I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I've read that brown spotting is common at the early stage, FX all will be well. About work, don't you worry, you and baby are most important right now, look after yourself and keep us posted. Big hug and thinking of you.

BobaFetaCheese · 12/04/2014 23:50

Brown spotting with ds2 at 9 weeks, convinced it was going to be another mc, but he;s fine. fingers crossed for you Shanel

No symptoms here still! grrh!

Minion · 13/04/2014 02:18

shanel hope you are managing to get some sleep and resting, the others are right, you and bean come first, work will still be there when your ready.
Anyone else up? This insomnia will be the end of me...

PunkyPod · 13/04/2014 08:54

Hugs for you shanel. What a worry. I hope the spotting has stopped and you can chill with films and chocolate today. Great your DH is looking after you.

I got my first mw and scan date through, I've updated the doc Smile

Proper knackered.....

xcrazedndazedx · 13/04/2014 09:34

Just suggested to my DP that I would put the scanner on myself at work when no one is around (I'm a Vet), and he was NOT happy. He thinks I will either damage the baby by scanning it too much (btw I don't think is possible!! - he doesn't really understand how it works) and he is sad because he wants to be there with me the first time we see the baby (aw). So have now had to promise him I won't do it! Only wanted to check was ok at this point because I want to tell my parents next weekend.

Am concerned at the rate I'm putting weight on! Have been dry retching every morning when I wake up or bringing up crackers and bile (I have been eating at 4 or 5am every morning when I wake up with an empty stomach). Then for the whole day my stomach feels empty/irritated and I have to eat every 2 or 3 hours to stop feeling sick. So I feel like I'm starting to show and I'm only 6+6. Blush

PolytheneGirl · 13/04/2014 09:49

Crazed I would be so tempted. I thought about buying a Doppler last time just so I could listen to LO's heartbeat. My DH would go mad if I scanned without him too. He went nuts once when he found out I did a hpt without him it was a BFN anyway

loubylou8 · 13/04/2014 09:51

Hello All. I'm due with first baby on December 8th by the looks of things...

Bettycakes80 · 13/04/2014 10:13

Can anyone offer some advice? I'm 6+6 and went to see my GP 2 weeks ago to show him the 6 BFP tests I had taken! He basically said congratulations and which hospital do you want to give birth in. No other information and he said he had no idea when I asked about if I could carry on exercising, and taking various vitamins I'd been taking. Since then I've had a letter from the hospital for an appointment for my 12 week scan with a doctor, but nothing else. Should I not get a booking in appointment with a midwife? I rang the doctors on Friday but the receptionist there doesn't speak great English, so it took me a while to get him to understand what I was asking, and then he said he had no idea and someone would call me back. Cue tears in the middle of the street!
Has anyone else got an appointment to see a midwife for blood pressure, weight, family medical history etc?
