We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

I just googled it too and got 35.9! What is she on about?! My chin nearly hit the floor when she said 40.5!It didnt even occur to me that she could have got I wrong...35 is still high but not sure if it warrants consultant care

binkybunny · 12/03/2014 16:29

Hi, just catching up feeling way too horrid to be working at the moment!

I'm so sorry to hear of more losses, thoughts are with you Duggi and Blueberry Sad

Mum2kiss I'm sure she's worked that out wrong, just out of curiosity I had a quick look on the NHS website as well and got 35.9 bmi using the height and weight you gave above. My bmi came out higher as the midwife didn't wait until I had stood up straight, so I should have been 29 and it came out 29.9, but it wasn't such a huge difference!

gunwalloe · 12/03/2014 16:30

I think that 35 is the cut of? but im not sure, I would double check about the asprin my bmi is over 35 and I haven't been told to take it. Im consultant led as ive had 2 csections she didn't even weigh me so has no idea what my bmi is.

Me23 · 12/03/2014 16:41

I make it 38.1 on nhs calculator and bupa.

blueberry im so sorry.

mum2kiss · 12/03/2014 16:45

Im not going to take the aspirin unless the consultant insists...im not that huge I really dont think im a high risk pregnancy. I dont have high bp, or any weight related health issues...in fact I dont have any health issues at all and I was going to the gym regularly until january...I think im ok

Loulou888 · 12/03/2014 16:52

I hate bmi I've always been sporty and therefore heavier on the scales. It doesn't take so many things into account like muscle, genetics etc. I actually had a letter from the school nurse saying my DS was verging on being overweight! They don't know what they are talking about that letter went straight in the bin nothing wrong with my healthy active 5 year old. (Good job he's too young to read the letter and understand otherwise it's giving young children a weight complex) Should be up to how you feel mum2kiss you know in yourself x

ToffeeJungle · 12/03/2014 17:18

Just marking my place on the new thread.

Has been awful reading some of the sad stories, my best wishes go out to them all.

I have to wait until 4th April for my first scan - seems so far away! I'll be 12+6 then. It can't come round quick enough!

Hope everyone else is ok.

Kirstipops · 12/03/2014 17:26

So sorry for Blueberry and Duggi, awful news :(

My blood pressure was on the high side, surprising both me and the midwife because I'm fit and healthy. Do hope I don't have a similar pregnancy as my mum did with me with high BP, she J had to have a week of bed rest in hospital on a few occasions :-/

Currently seething that my friend's mum said "Well its about high time" when she heard I was lreg. What makes people think it's OK to pass comments like these??

Kirstipops · 12/03/2014 17:27

Preg, not lreg! See how angry I am haha!

pebble82 · 12/03/2014 17:59

I've had "was it planned, yes? Oh ok, I just figured...well...what with you not being married" Charming!

Telling DPs mum tonight. I'm betting she'll get in the fact that we shouldn't rely on her for babysitting at some point in the evening as she has her own life you know!

just let stupid comments go over your head. My favourite so far is that I'll probably start showing sooner than later as I'm a bit chubby. Well thanks very much!!

mrsb87 · 12/03/2014 18:17

I don't think I've had any off comments yet....either that or I'm so nieve I've missed them! Probably the latter.

My tummy is starting to feel awfully solid at the moment. Definitely feels wierd.

Captainmcgraw · 12/03/2014 18:22

So sorry Blueberry and Duggi Sad

mum2kiss we're height buddies - I hardly ever meet anyone exactly my height! (Also same height as Kylie Minogue apparently, although unfortunately I don't share her bum!)

fatpony · 12/03/2014 19:08

Those of you who have had scans can you say how they are done? My letter says full bladder etc, does that mean the belly scan? Would be rather nervous about the dildocam!

Were going to visit family this weekend. Im dreading telling dp actually as although I like her she is a pessimist
and I know she wil put a negative spin on it andstart going on about how will we cope how will we afford it. So Im quite tempted to send her Scan picture in the post to tell her rathrr than her confronting me with my own fears about anothrr baby when I need positivity.

Me23 · 12/03/2014 19:15

That shkuld saydreading telling dps mum ive definitely told dp!
Spakle the cyst shouldn't present a problem theyare quite common.theyll just keep an eye onit wjth your ext sczn checking that it's not growing too big.

Mrsthedog · 12/03/2014 19:16

Duggi blueberry Thanks

CareBearWithFangs · 12/03/2014 19:34

Kirstie I think people are just thoughtless sometimes.

During my last pregnancy I rang my mum up to tell her and she said "I'm so sorry I'm just going to hang up, sit down and then I'll call you back". She did ring back 5 mins later and said all the right things and was great throughout my pregnancy. DD was very (very very) unplanned though.

STIGZ · 12/03/2014 19:46

Omg, 8 weeks today and pg symptoms are intense today!! Got morning/noon and night nausea! Look about 8 months as my stomach is so bloated! If i sit down for more than 5 minz, im out for the count! Shooting pains in boobs... Wow!

Thought my symptons had gone a couple of days ago.,, the rollercoaster that is pregnancy'. (",)

ExcitedCJ · 12/03/2014 19:54

I'm so sorry Blueberry, Duggi & all our other Oct counterparts that have had sad news Sad.
Delighted to hear that there has also been some happy news to keep the spirits up Smile.
I'm going for an early scan on Friday where I should be 8+3, providing all goes well I will go for the harmony test 2 weeks later. Keep FX for me.
I've been a hormonal mess this week. I was in floods of tears over the Paralympic Winter Games 2 days ago & had to turn over. I was so overwhelmed at the talent. Yesterday I cried over a plate of NICE biscuits as I thought that the people that put them out were very thoughtful. Today I was uncontrollably impatient & angry at work, had to leave a meeting to go for a walk before I said something I would regret!
I'm going to have to fess up soon before everyone thinks I am having a breakdown!

ExcitedCJ · 12/03/2014 19:58

I have also been eating rubbish constantly. Chow Mien for dinner tonight, battered sausage the night before. A total disaster, I feel totally nauseous when I think about anything even mildly healthy! Blush

binkybunny · 12/03/2014 20:04

Excited just spoken to my mum about only wanting to eat crap and she had cravings for cheeseburgers and chinese when she was pregnant- she hates both of them! I had a lovely healthy dinner but it didnt touch the sides and still feeling nauseous. Going to have to eat something else soon and I so wanted to be good while pregnant Blush

Kirstipops · 12/03/2014 20:04

Oh ExcitedCJ I feel your pain, I was walking by some daffodils in the gardens near my work this morning and the combination of them, the sunshine and the cheerful music in my earphones actually brought happy tears to my eyes haha! I promptly burst out laughing at myself, heh.
Fatpony that sounds like you'll have the usual scan on your lower tum, if you've to have a full bladder I think? I think with the "dildo cam" (lol!) scan you don't need the full bladder?

STIGZ · 12/03/2014 20:11

Lol
At cj

I was bloody raging at work first thing monday morning also! All the girls where shocked at the expletives flying from my mouth, obviously not normal for me! 4 years worth of annoyences came out in the first 20 minz i was in the door!!!, but they know im pg! Thank god back to normal (for now) !

Binglesplodge · 12/03/2014 20:53

Hi everyone - thinking of Blueberry, Duggi, and others whose news hasn't been good xxxxxx

Had my booking in appointment this morning - the midwife was very thorough and it took about an hour and a half! It all feels a bit more real though I'm still waiting for the scan on the 1st of April before I can believe it's happening!
