Congrats mssleepy. Positive scan this morning but didn't find out the sex. It's got a smaller than average head which at this point sounds attractive!

mssleepyhead · 22/03/2014 17:24

Congrats Jen! Apparently our head is measuring at 18+5, even though we're exactly 18 today... Eep.

HungryHorace · 22/03/2014 17:47

Congrats, Mssleepyhead! Did you buy anything blue on the way home? :-)

Next has a half price sale this weekend, by the way!

DD's head was 98th centile. No wonder she was wedged!

Rosebud29 · 22/03/2014 23:05

Congrats mssleepy!

mssleepyhead · 23/03/2014 08:01

I didn't get to buy anything hungry : )

But now I know who's in there I'm finding it nothing short of impossible to think of anything else. I just want to paint the nursery and buy things for him! How on earth are we meant to, well, work??

weeza13 · 23/03/2014 08:47

Hewhodares, sorry to hear about your dad, hope things pick up soon. To all with constipation or the opposite hope the fruit or eggs do their job. Sounds as if the scans are going well

travispickles · 23/03/2014 14:19

Know exactly what you mean sleepy, it's so boring having to think about work!!

Thatsnotmyfigure · 24/03/2014 12:54

Congrats sleepy heAd lovely pic too!! We're on holiday with baby and bump which is great. V relieved bump has popped out so look pregnant in bikini not fat! Felt good movements for first time yesterday so good all round. Hope everyone else is doing well

flymo79 · 24/03/2014 16:06

hi all, has anyone else been suffering dizzy spells lately? I've had a bad headache today and just came over all spinny. Would love to have a lie down but I'm at work and traipsing up a hill to the sick bay isn't an option! bit worried it might be a relapse of the dreaded vertigo I had back in Jan....

lyns31 · 24/03/2014 16:14

Congrats mssleepy :)

hi everyone! it's been a while. had the 20 week scan a week and a half ago…. it's a boy! and all seems well with him. we had the pleasure of a really long scanning session. my parents in law were getting very nervous waiting for us b-c they thought the news might be bad. but it was just that there was a trainee sonographer who had to double-check everything with her mentor. that was nice, in fact, b-c we got to ask lots of questions and they seemed to go about things very methodically and enthusiastically.

we decided to tell our 3.5 year old daughter after we got the OK from the scan. she is thrilled about her baby brother, and speaks to him every morning and sings to him too. on her own she decided to tell him that she loves him. it made my heart melt…

going through a nervous patch again, though, as getting a bit of pinkish discharge for the last three days. not enough to stain a pad, but enough to show up when i wipe, although not every time i go to the loo. called triage at local maternity hospital a couple of times but they said it wasn't enough yet to merit a visit. very hard to stay calm, but trying to! i thought the spotting should stop once we pass the first trimester? am trying to think what happened with my first, but can't for the life of me remember. anyone else experiencing a bit of bleeding? baby is still kicking lots so that helps.

mssleepyhead · 24/03/2014 21:19

Congratulations on your baby boy, fish! I've had brown spotting pretty much every day since 11 weeks.nothing heavy, often just brown discharge with occasional spots of brown blood. I find it upsetting and worrying, but no one has given me any kind of answer and at our scan at the weekend everything seemed fine. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing there's so much growing and stretching going on down there there are occasional bleeds. My philosophy is if the hospital don't seem worried, I'm trying not to be worried. Don't know if that helps!

HungryHorace · 25/03/2014 07:10

Congratulations, funnyfish! How lovely.

Spotting can be ok. Cervical changes in pregnancy can lead to it. All you can do is monitor it and see how it goes. Annoying, I know.

Today is the day I bled last time with DD. Keep expecting blood, so I know how you feel.

Owlysims · 25/03/2014 09:43

Congrats on the scans everyone ThanksThanks

Glad the scans are going well, I'm sure the discharge is nothing to worry about Fish if there is so little of it it can't be anything serious.

PinaColadas · 25/03/2014 12:20

Hi everyone, I've been missing for a few days, I usually get the oppertunity to bob on here on my lumch at work but been so manic and awful i've not had the time to do much. Had to speak to my boss yesterday becasue the stress is getting way too much and i'm really worried about me and baby, It's not good!!

Anyone not on Fbook I had my scan on Thursday but the tinker was tucked into a tiny ball so we have to go back this Thursday, they've told me full tummy, full bladder and have a bar of chocolate on the way in. The photo machine was broken which was a bit disapointing as they lost all the good pics they took, hoping the technition is as nice this week and takes new ones for us.

Congrats on all the fab scan news, we are all plodding along very nicely now it's great! 21+4 here and got a right wriggle bum inside!

PinaColadas · 25/03/2014 12:22

lots of shoddy spelling in that rushed post for which I'm very sorry for. Back to work I go :) x

dontsqueezetheteabag · 25/03/2014 15:00

Wowee!!! How exciting to hear about and see some scan pics.

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow at 11.20..... midwife appointment first at 9.00am.

I am soooo excited. DH is too. We have decided to find out the gender if possible. I think it will make it all more real for DH.

Good luck to everyone having scans over the next few days. I can wait to see more pics!

How has everyone been doing? I have been feeling great. Totally normal apart from a bit bloated and more tired that normal in the evenings.

xx

flymo79 · 25/03/2014 17:03

great news on all the scans, good luck for yours tomorrow don'tsqueeze. sorry to hear about those who have had/are having spotting... try to take some reassurance from what the doc's and nurses say.

mssleepyhead · 25/03/2014 19:39

Is anyone else finding that despite being in the second trimester they're still completely exhausted? I'm ok during the day but come about 6pm I'm just crashing. Just fell asleep marking exam papers and all I want to do right now is crawl into bed...

travispickles · 25/03/2014 19:46

I am off work today as feeling nauseous and headaches and have slept two hours today. Feel exhausted- not sure if I am I'll or just seriously run down and that's brought the ms back? No second tri blooming here sadly

weeza13 · 25/03/2014 21:28

Feeling huge today, belly feels tight and I feel tired. Roll on the weekend, can't believe its only tuesday

mssleepyhead · 25/03/2014 22:17

Travis - whilst sad for you, I'm kind of glad it's not just me...! Lets hope we both start blooming soon.

Lissbug · 25/03/2014 22:50

I also get completely exhausted at the end of a work day. Usually come home about 6.30 to 7, change straight into pjs and lie on the bed for half an hour connecting with my little man before doing anything. Think I am feeling him move more now. Still just under 2 weeks to my scan. Seems a horrendously long time.......
