Good news Mitchell. Mine is on Tuesday - I'm stressing! It doesn't help it's at 4pm so have a whole day at work to get through

HungryHorace · 16/03/2014 19:58

That is late, Travis. I thought I had it bad with 2.40pm!

I'm stressing too, it has to be said...just want this scan out of the way and all to be well, then to get to 24 weeks. I'll start to feel a touch better then.

mssleepyhead · 16/03/2014 21:31

This is going to sound very odd, but... Anyone else noticed changes to their belly button already?? 17 weeks and mine is certainly shallower and more spread out. Eek.

lyns31 · 16/03/2014 21:34

mssleepy, mine's shallower too. Also, mine freaked me out by popping out for a bit whilst I was lying down. Am assuming that had something to do with the movements of my young lady.

Rosebud29 · 16/03/2014 21:56

Hi. Thought I'd check in. I'm due 9th Aug with our first. My 20wk scan is next Thursday (20th). Excited but nervous. I've felt a few movements from the Alien but nothing I can be sure of. I have a rather large bump which I'm very proud of! Feeling fine, just getting tummy pains and bloatedness after eating is all.
I wish I could feel him (we're convinced he's a boy although we won't be finding out) moving more so I know he's ok. It took us a long time to make him so I've been very anxious.
I have three bump buddies for support, my best friend (due the same day as me!), my cousin's wife and DP's best friend's wife (both due 10th Aug) and they're all mummies already so they know the score.
I'll be eagerly awaiting all your scan results!
Mssleepyhead, my belly button is also definitely shallower, freaked out my DP, he has a 'thing' about belly buttons.

Secretlypregnant · 16/03/2014 22:03

Hi Startwig1982 and Rosebud29! You are both due on the same day as me - My scan is on Friday next week. It can't come soon enough - I have been feeling little movements and this afternoon and evening I haven't felt a thing. Trying not to worry!

HungryHorace · 17/03/2014 06:29

It's most unfair that I'm due on 7th, but my scan isn't until 26th! I think it's because I needed a consultant's appointment as well. Still annoying though, having to wait an extra week. :-(

Polkadot1 · 17/03/2014 07:38

Travis mines at 4pm tomorrow too! Luckily in the same hospital in which I work- so will be busy til 3.50!!! I'm getting nervous too.

I bought some short dresses/ tunics from Fatface (£25) and Joules (£40) and am going to buy a few pairs of maternity leggings and some jeans today from Mothercare, if they're ok when I try them on. No normal clothes fit anymore- Bump is massive already at 19+3, (with number 2)- I'll be huge by August!!!! Feeling some movements which is nice.

Good luck everyone with scans!

flymo79 · 17/03/2014 09:44

I'll be a tunbridge wells, sillyme, out of area but still nearer than the coast. I like the hospital and have had friends who had babies there, they gave it a thumbs-up. Sorry you have to wait longer for your scan horace, the wait is horrid. Good luck with scans this week!!

eurochick · 17/03/2014 09:59

mssleepyhead my belly button is shallower and more spread out already, and I'm only 16+4. Shock

eurochick · 17/03/2014 12:43

16 week appointment done. Heartbeat heard (after a bit of searching!). We could also hear kicks/swipes on the doppler. Phew.

flymo79 · 17/03/2014 13:25

great news euro!

thebestnameshavegone · 17/03/2014 15:01

hello ladies

I thought I would join the fun... i'm 20+1 and have got my scan tomorrow. I'm equal parts nervous and excited! I've been very lucky so far, no real problems, just ticking along nicely. but I haven't felt any movement yet, so I'm just hoping that my placenta is in an awkward place or that I just haven't realised what i'm feeling because its my first. Hopefully tomorrow will put my mind at ease a bit - I'll keep you posted!

flymo79 · 17/03/2014 15:54

Hi bestnames! have a Shamrock for your scan!

Hewhodares · 17/03/2014 17:37

I am HUGE! 18 weeks and I look much further along. I'm wondering if no 3 baby bumps grow quicker......or if im eating far too many pies :0

DisneyDiva87 · 17/03/2014 17:50

I've been MIA the last few days, my parents have come over for a visit and are buying me lots of lovely baby/maternity things.

Primark have started a small maternity range, it's so small my mum bought me 1 of everything they had and it only came to £80! Thought I would share, they have over bump leggings and under bump jeggings (which are amazingly comfy).

Have I missed much? Hope all the 20 week scans are going well.

weeza13 · 17/03/2014 18:17

Glad to hear scans are going well or rapidly approaching. My belly button is much shallower and not far from popping out. Bump is looking huge, I am curious how big it will be by end of july. Am really feeling the ache in hips and pelvis by end of day but I am on my feet a lot or working at very low levels. 5yrs olds have such little chairs! Am now 21 weeks and still waiting to feel movement.

Owlysims · 17/03/2014 21:01

My belly button never popped with my dd but thinking it might this time as already looking different which I never noticed with dd!! So we shall see!!

In other news my dh felt his first proper kick tonight through my bump! Was going mad in there he could even feel a few kicks I didn't inside!! Felt about 4/5 in a row!! So special Smile

Hope everyone is doing well

Boo - after days with no spotting today I've just had some more, and (TMI) a more obvious brown colour than ever before. It's very obviously a drop of blood, about 5mm across. Midwife appointment tomorrow anyway so I'll talk to her then but I'm expecting to get brushed off as that's whats happened every time. Has anyone else experienced spotting this late? It's worried me...

Owlysims · 17/03/2014 21:20

Ms sleepy I had it at about 14 weeks with dd (and it earlier on) and same as you they said as long as it's not red/lots then it's probably going to be normal for pregnancy. When I had it at 14 they just listened in to hb and said that was enough to check all okay. They said I was more than welcome to ring every time it happened to listen in. Have you been having movement to put your mind at rest?

OP posts:
Hewhodares · 17/03/2014 21:24

hello mssleepyhead yes I have with both of my previous pregnancies. From what I remember it was around the 20-24 weeks for both. Was sent to hospital for both. Nothing found and was sent home again.
Hopefully your midwife will put your mind at rest tomorrow without her brushing you off x

mssleepyhead · 17/03/2014 21:57

Thank you for sharing your experiences owly and whodares. I haven't had much regular movement yet so don't have that reassurance but just had a listen on my home Doppler and found the heart beat I think. It sounded as it usually does, so I'm trying not to worry and just to put it down to stretching or something. It helps knowing it's happened to others. I've had spotting on and off since week 7 now, but it never fails to make my heart stop for a moment when I see it.

2beornot · 18/03/2014 07:38

Morning all! Not posted for a while, but bump is definitely there now. Can't wear non maternity bottoms anymore - feel like I'm being cut in half!

Good luck to those having scans today. Mine is 9.00am tomorrow - v v excited!!!

HungryHorace · 18/03/2014 08:09

Morning!

I can't remember if you're finding out the sex, 2be.

I'm half excited about mine next week. Can't wait to see baby again, but just hope they're all OK.

Who's having a scan today?

We all slept really well last night. I feel quite dopey now though! I don't think one good night helps, it just confused your body!

Secretlypregnant · 18/03/2014 08:20

Morning everyone!

Sorry to hear about the spotting, mssleepyhead. But like the others said, I have heard of quite a few people who have brown spotting until fairly late on. Hearing the heartbeat is massively reassuring. Smile

Welcome, thebestnames!

Really lovely news that you got to hear the heartbeat, Euro - apparently some midwives just refuse to check at 16 weeks. Seems very mean!

DisneyDiva, how lovely that your parents are getting so excited with you! Is this going to be their first grandchild?

Lots of scans today! Good luck to it'ssofluffy, Polkadot1, thebestnames and Travis - hope all goes smoothly.

Hungry, I feel the same about mine on Friday - excited to see the baby but also increasingly nervous!
