Clomid success stories please

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I did a test (the first response one) yesterday five days before period due and it was negative which I knew it would be as been getting really bad period pains since last week. Due on on friday so round 2 of clomid with IUI. I have been getting really bad mood wings, which is not normal for me as I never really suffer from mood swings...is this the clomid....has anyone else experienced this???? Its like really bad PMT i imagine.

Angel008 & Wallacex - sorry to hear the ob got you this month - fingers crossed for you for the next cycle. Think we are due some good news on here i dont think there has been a pos for a little while so hopefully you two can raise all our hopes!
Ive not been on here over weekend as been feeling a bit down - one of my friends has said she pg n she only been with bloke for bout 5 weeks - just feel that life not being fair - sorry to moan
Anyway guess we got to be positive that it will work for us lot here and our babies will be extra special!

just an update my gyno rang and told me 2 up my dose 2 100mg. was due on friday but still no sign have tested but it was neg so jus gotta wait now 2 start round 4 but this will be 100mg so fingers crossed i will ova. best of luck 2 u allxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for the message, sometimes it gets so confusing remember when to take what - thats good that we are at the same stage. I didn't get to speak to my consultant, but on advice on the nurse and my results im reducing my dose to 50mg this round, when i go for my bloods i will see if i ovulated and what it was.

Thanks for the message Peju - i know what you mean a friend of a friend popped out a girl on Saturday shes 26 and now has five children. Life is just so unfair - one of us soon must have some positive news it is definitley overdue now.

Hopeful - sorry it didn't work but don't get to disheartend, that response pregnancy test only gives a positive result to about 62% of women five days before they are due - so hold out you still never know.

Hopeful1 its true what Wallcex says some women have to wait until they are 2 weeks late so i know its hard to wait but until af arrives there is still some hope. same to you Haylz its not over till the ob arrives. I posted before as someone i heard from tested 1 wk late then 2 wks late and both neg then 2 days after that got her pos so it can happen for some that the neg can turn into pos, and in meantime have fun trying!!

Hi Wallacex - I am going to leave my office now and go n have a glass or 2 of wine as feeling bit fed up - know its not the ultra fertile peoples fault but bah humbug!! Sure will get over it!! But we could do with a good result on here so am keeping my fingers crossed for ya on this course!! Am hoping will finally get my scan date soon - will keep you posted.

I couldn't wait to get out of my office today, i feel like im surrounded by pregnant women in the office and now the sun is shinning (well not at the moment)there seem to be more everywhere i look.

I keep starring into mothercare and wondering if i will ever get the chance -god look at me moaning on - no-one needs that.

We have to keep our spirits up and im sure one of us will have good news soon - have far are you into the treatment?

Do you need to go for 21 day blood test. if so just realised day 21 is on a saturday so that means we are going to have to go in on monday.......thats what the consultant said last time anyway!

Just thought id post on here to let you know. Took my clomid today. Periods seem really heavy this month, dont know if thats cause of clomid!

Hi All, I am newly registered but i have been reading the threads for a few months.
i am going to be starting clomid 50mg this month, but am irregular, so is it best i start provera on the 28th day of my cycle?

Hi Wallacex - couldnt reply yesterday as my home computer went wrong!! Ive not started clomid yet have got to wait for a scan date first as my doc just wanted a scan done to make sure all else is ok so am hoping to start in August (prob end). Been trying for just over a year now so its not that long to wait i spose but i am getting impatient - no date in post again today!

Hi angel008, im a little ahead of myself i guess, i am just on cycle 2 now, the busy part of the cycle of every other day hahaha!!! but having fun! I ovulated first month of taking clomid but just wondered how many months to leave it before speaking to the specialist again if nothing happens, i have been given 6 months worth of 50mg. Hopefully wont need to worry about that and fall pregnant, i guess "normal" couples take a while to fall pregnant anyway.

Wallacex - have a good moan get it all out hahah!!! i know what you mean pregnant woman everywhere...babies gallore! plus its quite sad i know but babies born around now are all from christmas time

i have come on 2day so start round 4 2moz. but this month will be 100mg so hope i dont get bad side affects not that i did on 50mg. just a mild head ache 4 the 1st 2 months. hope ur all feeling ok. best of luck 2 u all.

Not too excited though coz I've done a test which was negative. Guess I'm just on an extended cycle. Probably the heat!!

Just wanted to let you all know i have started acupuncture today and so has ma hubby! Having a session every 2 weeks now till the end of my clomid! Lets wait and see if this helps. The consultant at the acupuncture clinic said within six sessions there is usually a success so lets wait and see if they just wanted my money!!!!! lol Good luck to you all x

Hope all ok - you are right we really need someone to get a BFP soon.

Know what you mean about pregnant ladies everywher had to go today to one hospital for blood tests (not for fertility) and just happened to be the same day as the ante-natal clinic - great!! woman sat next to me in queue just had her first scan grrr! then woman in pharmacy was pg too! lol

Then had to go 40 miles to my Fertility clinic, there is no change in my follicles so are upping me to 150mg Clomid next time round. Anyone else not even ovulating as I read some of you are successful in ovulatin? Also has anyone found they get bad headaches for a few days after taking clomid?

i get a bad head 4 the 1st couple of days but it is bareable. well this period has made me feel rele bad. stomach cramps r worse than ever and i just feel so emotional. im taking it out on my man lol no good tho. but he understands. still waiting 4 my appointment 2 go and see gyno as she told me over the fone 2 up my dose 2 100mg and theres a letter in the post but u no how they fob u off. baby dust 2 u all xxxxx

Have a great holiday and hope this month really does work for you! Like i said i had acupuncture yesterday and joined a gym today so gona up the fitness level! lol As right now im just driving and geting no exercise in at all which is no good. Im not overweight just nt active! Hope it helps as day 10 is approaching!

Got another session of acupuncture on day 18 so thats great too. I really am depending on this clomid! Its got to work for us all..... Take care hun xx

hi omg i am sooooooooooooo raging my doc told me i ovulated as my results was 85.7 like 2 wks ago n i got a letter from receptionist at gyneos saying i hadnt n just t carry on wae clomid so im foning tday what is that all abowt that result is high so i cant see y my doc woold say its a defo ovulation im so confused if it was a typing error ill go crazee as i cryed reading it im getting so stressed owt i hate this prob wont eva get preg x

i hate it wen some1 tells u 1 thing and some1 another. half of them dont understand how stresful it is 4 us i dont think.
well im on day 2 of clomid since upping it 2 100mg and thank god no side affects.

Im off to stay with some of DH's family in Devon - looking forward to the break from work and just in general - think we both need it.

It will be last day of clomid today, seems weired how we are all affected differently - haylz you increased and i had to decrease.

Is anyone near to giving us some good news yet?

Debz - talk about confusing - have you phoned them yet - what did they say - blimey i would do my nut in if that were me.

Angel - are you going for your bloods on Monday 18 August, thats when ive worked mine out to?
