Clomid success stories please

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

No a/f as yet, but i have major pain so give it a couple of days - round 2 it will be for me - bit fed up - but best not to dwell (i say until the weekend comes and i drink my sorrows away).

i think the thread was on fertility zone or baby and bump - off the top of my head - lol

Well I'm still 'Fed up lady'. Had 2 cycles of Clomid, last one was 100mg dose. Went for day 18 scan yesterday and my biggest follicle is only 9mm (apparently they have to be 17mm to release eggs). So this is only 1mm bigger than same stage last month and thats with a double dose from last month! I was so down had to bite my lip to stop me crying to nurse. however she did say that as the Clomid is trying to stimulate ovaries they might just suddenly kick into action and start popping eggs out, thats why they have to keep close eye on me. They want me to go back again next week for one final check but if no big improvement going to up me to 150mg next cycle. I can just see it going all the way to IVF .

I am due to get my period in 8 days and have got period pain (which I can get up to a week before it comes) not a good sign is it??????

Well I am another 'newbie'. My story is i got pg 10 years ago on Clomid and miscarried at 9weeks. Have PCOS and one blocked tube (just found out that egg can get out of either side so if blocked on left can get out via right!!!) Kind of gave up for a while - have very irregular AF as in sometimes monthly then 6 monthly. Anyway 10yrs on and getting older now 37 - realised i really want a baby! Was referred to JR in Oxford and given a 6month deadline before IVF. Started clomid last month, responded 'fantastically' follicles good size, bloods brilliant - this is it i thought!
Well not! AF arrived this morn - gutted! So back to the drawing board as they say think i just missed my ovulating window!
Reading threads on here really quite positive and wondered anyone same kind of story or knows about blocked tubes and can they still get out with one blocked!

hi angel dont b upset thats a good result its anywere between 30 and 70 to ovulate so its proves its worked an uve ovulated u never no there coold b an embryo growing in there as we speak chin up hope ur ok ???

Yeah first tab today and just had a phone call from the fertility Unit confirming that i follow the same pattern as last month and reassuring me that my results were all brilliant! so she told me to BD as of day 12 alternatively!!!! No fishin for my hubbie that week!

It is boilin you not wrong - feel rough as AF is a heavy one, wanna go home! x

i rang my gyno 2day angel and my result was only 12 but still beta than last month cause it was only 3 so dont worry bout 30. i did say so did i ova and she said its inconclusive its either 1 way or the other so i dont think it needs 2 be that high 2 say u ova. she is going 2 send me an app out now as soon as too up my dose 2 100mg. good luck ladies xx ill let u no if she ups my dose xxx

lol i no my fiancee is actually getting tired i make him do it evry 2 days from day 8 just incase i ovulate early lol

Well its good that i got one as this was one of my probs - i hardly ever got them! but it is a horrid one!
Will try that one every 2 days from day 8! crikey we'll be knackered - its hot enough already lol

i no lol its just incase i ovulated early seys sumwere it coold b as early as day 8 so hey o well aw mines was agony last wk had t go get codydromol tablets as i was aboot crying n so grumpy at wrk lol

I got 5 days til I'm due on. I feel rubbish - really sicky!! Probably just the heat. Unbearable isn't it??

I felt a lot of pg symptoms last month but it turned out to be nothing. I dare say it will be the same again this time!!

Hiya wallacex - What does a/f stand for? I hav terrible pains too and am due on tommorrow so just taken round 2. Asked my dr to get my results faxed over and she phoned me to say come in tommorrow and she will discuss it all wit me. so thats something im looking forward too.

Thanks for your message, im ok now thanks. I know i think after reading someother threads its sinking in that maybe its working. I dont think there is an embryo growing in anywhere though lol....im not that lucky! Lol where are you up to now? You on your 2nd round???? well good luck! x

Consultant said every other day but just to make sure we are always trying daily! Could that be a reason why its not working???????

think uve 2 do it every 2nd day as sperm is stronger it weakens if its used too much lol wooldnt mind it everyday but jamie is up at half 6 4 work so dont think hed b up 4 that haha lol

Blimey i seem to have missed out a lot of those messages yesterday, scrambling through them today.

My body is doing weird things, i was due on yesterday but i still haven't seen. I have all the symptoms but nothing. Im getting frustrated, i just want to getting cracking with round two. My body is driving my nuts.

Angel - have no idea why it was funny, i think the heat and working in an office yesterday, not to mention the strange things that are happening to my body, seem to be sending me do lally (not sure if spelt right).

Have you come on this morning - if not when will you test?

Hi All - ive been busy so not had a chance to get on here!! At work now so able to!! Im ok still no scan date yet - hate waiting just want to get started.
Wallacex have you taken a pg test to check?? I know that some of symptoms of pg mirror af so just a thought??

thanks for your message, do they really, i have had bad cramping pain so just put it down to my period, figured after doing those early tests last weekend and they were negative just asumed this was my af. Will probably wait til next thursday before i test, as they say clomid can make your cycle longer (not that i had a cycle really before).

will keep you posted though - how you getting on with everything - no that feeling am at work myself.

done sooo much reading on symptoms when i kept being late and thinking i may be pg and yep some do get period like cramps etc when they are pg - think our bodies do it to annoy!! Let me know if you do another test - will keep my fingers crossed for you.
I just wanna get started on a course now but having to wait for scan - still nowt in post this am. Bored at work and dont want to be stuck in office all day! Spose at least it not sunny out and i am getting out of office this afternoon so yippee!!

This is so hard - im so tempted to run out in my lunch hour and buy a test, but i keep thinking i still have cramps on and off so im not pregnant, and after those tests last weekend that were negative, i can't imagine that i am.

I just wish my body would make up its mind. Is it a date for thursday or should i test today?
