Clomid success stories please

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

hi well i got my blood tests results back after my 1st round of clomid on 50mg and can happily say have ovulated came back at 82 b4 clomid it was only 19 !!! periods due mon will wait a wk if they dont cum then test hows every1 2day???xxxxxxx

Thats good news - oh im so excited for you - i have my 21 day bloods next Thursday - haven't been too good today - had terrible cramping pain i could barley walk, especially on my left side - seems to have settled down a bit now though.

Stay away from the KY!! It's a sperm killer. The only thing I've heard that is OK is "Pre-Seed". I think you can get it in most health shops!!

Failing that you could always use egg whites!!! Apparently they're sperm friendly!!! Don't think I could go there myself though!!!

Im fine thanks. Im sorry the clomid dint work for ya in the first month really was hoping it would have. I wonder which of us going to come on with the news first that clomid has actually worked. Ive finished clomid 2nd round. Day 14 now.

I read what u wrote about the cravings. Its so so sooooooo true. Ive been eating so much its a joke. Im trying not to now though kuz il get so overly overweight.

Ive tried posting less frequent messages on here cause i think the more im talking about not having a baby yet the more its bringing me down.........

hi debz, you seem to be going through it the same time as me, went for 21 day bloods last friday and i ovulated, all this week have had sore nipples and my breast are alot heavier and tender, have also had quite abit of cramping (can actually be quite painful) This is my first cycle so trying not to get too excited as i cant imagine getting pregnant first time (things like that dont seem to happen to me lol!) but fingers crossed period doesnt start next wednesday.

I know what you mean - im so pinning my hopes on the first round working, but as you said im not that lucky either. I had terrible cramping pain on Friday, I actually thought something was really wrong, but reading the thread made me feel less paranoid. Hope you all doing ok? Just thought I'd send an update. I'm hoping to start Clomid on Thursday (due on on Weds if all goes to plan). I really hope I don't get the munchies. I've just lost half a stone to get my consultant to take me seriously Don't like the sound of the hot flushes either. Oh well it will be worth if it, if I get my baby out of it. I'm actually bricking it. I'm now at a point where I could fall at any point. I'm sorry to hear that some of you have had a tough time. Stick with it & stay positive (easier said then done I know). A friend of mine was put on clomid as she was having a lot of trouble. She was about to give up & the week she was due to start IVF she found out that she was PG. It took her 5 cycles of Clomid. There is hope for us yet!

hi wallace and debz, well been a little deflated last couple of days, seems like my breasts and nipples have calmed down alot! they still feel heavier but dont think im gonna be prengnant this month, but wont know till i test wednesday/thursday... at least the painfull cramps have gone, not used to them as i dont often get period pains.

How have you been? Pixistar, have you done a test yet?

pixistar best of luck with your 1st round of clomid. I finished my second round of clomid recently, the side affects for me werent too bad so dont worry and dont stress, everyone is different. hopefully you will be fine.

Thanks for the messages. I finished my clomid a couple of weeks ago, im due to have my 21 days bloods this thursday and due on the following thursday. Ive got so used to seeing negative pregnancy tests that im kinda expecting that next thursday.

I've been trying to conceive 18mths (m/c April 07 @5.5wks). Been refered to specialist and likely to be put on clomid i think (PCOS & underactive thyroid).
Came across this site through google and really inspired me- have a lot more confidence in it now. Thanks!

Hi debz, well i guess the same as what you say, i had symtoms because it will be a proper period due to ovulation, and guess what it was also on time, so no baby this time, i dont know why im surprised cant imagine being pregnant anymore... i guess the systoms dont help, they give you a little hope, especially because while taking the tablets they didnt effect me at all, and then to get some cramps last week and sore breasts.... oh well heads up! How about you?

I am fairly new to all this too. I finished my first round of clomid last week and having IUI this week. I have PCO but the reason I am doing it is because my husband is infertile so going through sperm donation.
This website has also given me a lot of hope and support just by reading the stories.

I know what you mean - i cant imagine ever being pregnant - i was the same i never experienced any side effects on the clomid, but ever the pesimist im not hopeful. Hows the second round going?

hi girlies, yep just started second round today. Trying extra hard to lose a little more weight, as if clomid doesnt work i dont want any excusses from the docs. Already lost 2 stone, about another 1 i think would be ideal... so it gives me something else to concentrate on, trying not to think too much about it all at the moment, just take it as it comes.

hi wallacex, yep second round is fine so far. You must try to stay positive hard i know, but either way we will get through, my husband and i have always said we would adopt even if we could have kids, so we are going to give it another year trying if nothing then start that process. Its not right for everyone i know, but right for us. stsy strong.
