Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

Hello, can I dip a tentative toe? Had a MMC last Sept, and have POAS this week and got a BFP. Whoop! We have a 2.2yo DD and think our next dc will be our last, so I am keen to really embrace and enjoy this pg, as with my first pg I just wanted to rush through it all.

Stats
MyNameIsKenAdams, DC2, curently 4wks, EDD 25th Oct

Telling no-one til 12wks.

Everything I've read says that cramping is normal: I've done a lot of googling since it's been a week since we found out and I still regularly have cramps that remind me of when AF is about to arrive. In fact I still check nervously when I've been to the loo in case it's all over: so far nothing to report! Think it's just part of the early pregnancy stretching of things...

IRCL · 14/02/2014 14:22

I know Cake and sazzle. I don't know why but my sex drive after ds just rocketed. it's gone now though thanks to constant nausea. Blush

has anyone else here got a short age gap? I'm freaking out a bit!

just trying to take it one day at a time due to past pregnancies ending in mc, its hard though!

hope you're all feeling ok! Smile

akachan · 14/02/2014 14:30

Buggerlugs, I have had cramping quite badly. Once enough to wake me up. I find it completely terrifying but it does seem to be normal.

Sahkoora · 14/02/2014 14:50

Hello everyone!

Can I join? This will be DC3, currently have 2 DSes aged 5 and 2, and this has been a bit of a surprise! But a happy one.

My stats:

Sahkoora, DC3, currently 4+4, EDD 20th October

Told only my mum and sisters and DH (ofc!) though it will probably come out as I have a history of hyperemesis!

pebble82 · 14/02/2014 14:51

Same here with cramping. I'm 6 weeks today and had waking cramps about a week ago. Nothing for a while but my GP told me on Monday it's totally normal and just your uterus stretching.

binkybunny · 14/02/2014 15:27

Bugglelugs. Was told yesterday by about 4 different docs/ midwifes crampings normal. If it is an unbearable pain right up one side into your back and shoulder you should get it checked out. Otherwisejust paracetamol if its too uncomfortable.

Welcome to all the new people and congrats on BFP's Grin

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/02/2014 15:31

IRCL what will your age gap be?

There is 22 months between my ds1 and ds2, and there will be 25 months between ds2 and dc3. I didn't want big age gaps, partly due to my age, but after struggling with ds1 when pregnant with ds2, mainly due to my body having a useless pelvic region, which made lifting him and chasing after him painful and exhausting, I wanted a slightly bigger gap so that ds2 is a bit more independent. I think this gap will work well, as he is already at the stage of being able to walk up the stairs and climb on and off the sofa, and is very good at walking outside, so I think the bulk of lifting will just be in and out of his cot and his high chair. His speech is next to nothing but he understands virtually everything we say to him ( will sit when told which makes dressing him and putting shoes on easy, he will fetch his water cup, go into the lounge or dining room on instruction, all little things that make the strain on my body a lot less than when dealing with a younger ds1 in my last pregnancy!). The bond between them is beautiful to see, and I can't wait to see how they bond with a new baby. The first 6 months were hard, it got a tad easier when solids started, as they could eat together then, and when he became mobile around 9-10 months things got much easier. Now they play together all the time, freeing me up to do jobs around the house without tantrums from a Velcro baby which is how it was when I just had ds1!!!

Bumpforme2014 · 14/02/2014 18:22

Evening everyone, felt pretty rough today so tired and slightly queasy throughout day but new symptom today is shortness of breathe, anyone else getting that? Have to walk really slow or I get out of breathe and even sitting I feel like not getting enough oxygen lol oh the joys!

CareBearWithFangs · 14/02/2014 18:53

Buggle, I had really bad cramps last night. Everything still fine so far (I think/hope).

Bump, take care of yourself this evening - anything nice planned?

Is anyone else still knicker watching?!

pebble82 · 14/02/2014 19:53

Knicker watching continues but I think I'm chilling out a little bit. Another 6 weeks until I might start to enjoy pregnancy a bit more. X

Kittylou1 · 14/02/2014 20:02

Evening, really itchy skin today legs back and tummy? Anyone else with this x

Bumpforme2014 · 14/02/2014 20:02

Relaxing on the sofa, just had chips from the chippy and feel much better already :-)

I have calmed down a lot this week on the worrying but still can't fully enjoy it yet. Look forward to getting to 8/9 weeks.

rubyinthedust · 14/02/2014 20:25

Just joined - thought I'd say hi! Had a BFP two days ago, EDD is October 21st according to the NHS website...

Very cautious at the moment as my very first pregnancy, in November last year, was an ectopic which resulted in me losing a tube - but also very happy that we managed to conceive again so quickly! Going for an early scan soon.

Grannyapple · 15/02/2014 07:06

Hi ladies...can I tentatively join? Found out last night...& is a bit if a shock to be honest..this is no 3, & wasn't exactly on the lifeplan, but equally pleased & surprised!

DS is 3 next week & DD is 6.5 months Shock I had just cme rob tarns recently that DD would be my last, & started getting rid of baby stuff to friends! Tho I did have a small yearning for another shortly after DD but think that was the hormones..

Need to go work out my due date..looks like it might be 19th October...wedding anniversary is 21st October...

TroubleAndFyfe · 15/02/2014 07:13

Wow, lots of exciting news about more BFPs and the people you've told or the big secret you're keeping! I forgot to say, I've also told my original TTC thread (from DC1) as we have a FB group and talk all day every day. Pregnancies usually get announced there before the fathers even know! There're only 8 of us but quite a few babies! Smile

Grannyapple · 15/02/2014 07:31

ha ha trouble I'm the same with the fb group for DD..

bumpbangbump · 15/02/2014 07:36

Same with me. We've got about 35 ladies from our an thread and have all announced very early to each other... I think mine will be about the 6th mark 2 bubba!

Welcome all the new ladies!!!

CareBearWithFangs · 15/02/2014 09:13

Morning everyone. How's everyone feeling today?

I told my mum last night and have sworn her to secrecy. I think I'll tell work at 8 weeks and everyone else after the first scan.

Sunnyday14 · 15/02/2014 09:48

Morning CareBear...feeling OK thanks, how are you? Like someone further up on the thread, I've realised that feeling hungry is what was making me feel so queasy. Started snacking a bit more (aiming for fruit, mostly having biscuits...) and having a larger lunch and smaller dinner in the evening. Really helping Smile
Boobs are still expanding though (they weren't small to begin with...) and feel like someone's been using them as punch bags. Off to buy bigger bras this morning!

CareBearWithFangs · 15/02/2014 09:55

My boobs are also really sore. And DD seems to have suddenly realised I have boobs (she's 2.7 I'm not sure why she hadn't noticed before?) and she keep's poking and prodding them.

I did I digital test this morning, seeing the word pregnant has made me feel quite giddy!

Bumpforme2014 · 15/02/2014 11:01

Morning everyone, welcome newbies! Hunger defo makes you feel sick, I have been stuffing crackers in my mouth as soon as I wake up to avoid the queasiness. I was in bed for 12 hours last night and still feel a bit rough lol I also need to get maternity bras the current 'bigger' ones are now too tight around my ribs!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 15/02/2014 11:11

Re feeling queasy, I never had proper morning sickness but felt awful first thing but I found that if I drank a glass of milk before getting up, I felt absolutely fine. So DH would bring a glass every morning and as long as I drank it before sitting up, I was fine. Hoping milk works its magic this time too, although not quite at that stage yet but won't be much longer as now 5 weeks.

ToffeeJungle · 15/02/2014 11:23

Morning all! And welcome newbies!

Well I've had a stinking headache since yesterday afternoon and generally feel awful - am thinking the headache is due to hormones, I used to get them with AF which was obviously hormones though this time it's a lot worse but then again there are a whole lot more hormones!
Was a bit reluctant to take paracetamol but I did and they have helped.

Aside from that I feel queasy now and again and my nipples are huge!!

mrsb87 · 15/02/2014 11:55

Hello everyone, just thought I would drop by as I got my booking appointment and scan date through them post! 7th march for the midwife and 21st for my scan! Im hoping to feel much better by then as the hypermesis is really starting to take its toll on me.

Hope everyone else is well?
